This is my first post sorry I'm new to this. Is there any chance that this lady willingly went with? I understand the reports that she was taken against her will, but I'm just curious if there was any motives on her side to join

Now that Savannah has been removed from Olympic coverage, I wonder who will benefit from her not being there. Who takes her spot? Could that be what motivated this crime and not money?

I highly doubt a fellow presenter from the Network who is a colleague and likely friend of Savannah would do this.

There's definitely been a lot of conflicting information about what the inside and outside of Nancy's home looked like when LE arrived.

I do wonder now about the state of the relationship between the daughter and SIL. And if the daughter is cooperating with LE now if there are suspicions.

Did someone say that Savannah has returned home? That would make sense if there wasn't any other urgent reason and she was made aware of the suspicion around the SIL.

I am still shocked about this development. In other cases, family often seems likely and eventuates they did the crime, but for Nancy, I just didn't see it. That could also be my mind not wanting to process that someone who knew her could actually cause her harm. Harm to older adults is always shocking but when its a family member it is up there as one of the most heinous of crimes.

Someone elderly has a lifetime of experiences, relationships, has survived probably more things than younger people realise, yet one person's actions can have the power to end it (or in this case let's hope Nancy is alive somewhere).

Savannah return home now??? Make Sense??? No way.

I think we all (myself very much so) often jump to closest, most recent, what logistically makes sense. The SonIL makes make sense for those reasons but he is still family so I do find the MT posting of that a bit unexpected myself.

It just seems like kidnapping an 84 year old immobile woman with many health issues would be a burden, unless the person gained something from her being gone.

I’m always wary of judging peoples looks whilst they are only a suspect. This comes from closely following the Joanna Yates case.
Christopher Jeffries in the Joanna Yates’ - he was basically tried and found guilty by the media for looking ‘scary’ and eccentric - turns out he had absolutely nothing to do with her murder and the media had to pay all sorts of compensation to him.

So theres a connection between the Showbiz 411 guy and Savannah and she could have tipped him off.

i don't think Savannah is in a. state of mind right now to be tipping anyone off on anything.

It is not taped off because it was turned back over the family, and is therefore not restricted anymore. This generally happens far more quickly than people realise, sometimes within only hours, and Moscow should not be used as a yardstick. It is an anomaly.

Not that I have many experiences with crime scenes but I do have one recent experience that did get some media attention (though not nearly as much). Crime scene investigators were onsite for four days including a mobile command center type vehicle. They towed in a side-by-side (never saw them use it) and there was much activity for four entire days. And as far as anybody knows thus far, the perpetrator didn’t even step foot inside the house.

And I’m super put off by them continuing to ask neighbors for video. In my experience we had no less than three separate instances of folks coming directly to us to query about video and definitely saw them going door to door on numerous occasions.

This was in a much more rural type area so Tucson should not have any limitations with how many law enforcement / investigators available to them.

All that being said, I actually was quite shocked they had already released the house back to the family.

How do you know exactly what a cartel would do or not???

Secondly, I think it’s despicable what is being said on this thread about Nancy’s son in law. I think it is honestly victim bashing and blaming someone who thoroughly loves his mother in law and has been left devastated. Of course they are looking at the closest male. In this case he’s a quirky, sensitive academic who might well play mahjong with his mother in law on a regular basis and may cook her lovely dinners regularly too.
In my opinion, he’s a wonderful son in law. Europeans take care of their own in many cases and cherish their elderly a lot more than some other cultures who want them out of sight/ mind.
Whoever said he will be deported should remove their nasty post. He’s very obviously a contributing member of our society. I have the greatest respect for teachers and this one is intelligent enough to teach advanced placement biology classes. He is a gifted, kind person from what I’m reading.

After listening to the Banefield analysis posted up thread here( I forced myself) and her discussion with Brian Entin, I do think that many here are kinda jumping the gun. If you listen, Banefield regularly states that her source said he (SIL) MAY be a suspect ( she swaps between MAY be a 'prime' suspect and MAY be a suspect) not that he IS a suspect. She is constantly qualifying and is careful with her language.

Her and Entin also discuss how police investigations ( assisted in this case by FBI) often tend to begin with the inner and progress to the outer circles of the victim as a matter of protocol. This is what occurred in the Idaho case before IGG helped pin down Kohberger (a stranger to all four victims).

Anyways... I think it's too early to jump to conclusions the SIL did it ( or organised it to be done), given what we have.Moo. There is an immense amount of speculation triggered by Banefield's piece and of course the headlines are sensational for those who get their news that way. Jmo

OTOH and jmo, what you say about the SIL-NG relationship is also speculative and based on a stereotype moo. In reality we have no idea how they got on etc.

I agree that comments that SIL should be deported and comments criticising his appearance are completely uncalled for. We cannot say he has been publicly named as a suspect moo, but even if we could, appearance based comments I find personally very off and unnecessary.

At this point I'm personally inclined to wait for more precise info than what Banfield has coughed up. Or perhaps a more balanced interpretation re what it might mean ( ie that AG's car is being examined). That could be simple due diligence for eg. Jmo

9:45pm is not that late imo if they went out for a meal and then to play a few games. It’s not like she was walking home by herself she was dropped off by family.

From what’s been said I don’t think anything happened at 9:45 either as the sister was there then - I believe the suspect returned to the house later

In general, for sure. Plenty of elderly people stay up late and might be out later. No arguments there. 9:45 PM itself isn't strange. What I’m saying is that this specific night stands out because it’s part of the last confirmed timeline before everything went wrong. It's possible having her out at this time is part of the crime. IMO

Not the same thing, I know, but when my mom was in hospice in another state, I had to travel back and forth because I had young children who also needed me. (I needed them, too, tbh.) It was a horrible time and leaving my mom was not easy, nor was staying while knowing my kids were without me.

Not our business, imo, what SG does as daughter and as a mother in this situation.

While there have been cases where the victim was a willing participant, that appears highly unlikely with Nancy. The biggest reason is Nancy did not take her personal belongings or medications with her. Also, with her health concerns, she probably should not be up walking around late at night.

Refreshing some official statements of interest:-FBI is examining multiple cellphones for evidence -Sheriff says there is “no credible information indicating this was a targeted incident”-Sheriff says they have no suspects, but detectives are conducting interviews “with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie”
