AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Valid points imo. I just don't view her as an outspoken obnoxious public figure. Some people may see her differently though. Just my opinion and brainstorming random thoughts

Did anyone hear about NG social media being controversial? Not sure if was here or on Ctv, but they said that NG was very vocal about ICE and her political views.

Sorry to butt in, but please agree to disagree and don't get into a fight, this thread is probably on thin ice as is already.
Just can't stand when people point the finger but then turn around and do the same. But you are very right, my bad 🙏🏻
This topic deserves to focus on Nancy, thank you for pointing that out 👍🏻

Daughter dropped her off after church dinner around 9:30pm to 9:45pm. There's no way in my opinion that daughter would not make sure Mom, victim, was safe and sound in bed before leaving house. Maybe daughter left house at 2AM? The blood spots in front exterior entry way stop before gravel which seems to mean maybe car right there. I see so many pictures of victim and daughter Savannah but like maybe one of Annie. That speaks volumes to me.
No. NG lived alone and was capable of putting herself to bed. My 89 year old mother used a cane but still drove and put herself to bed every night her.

There have been so many new pages since I looked at this thread last night. Do the in laws need money? Are they in any kind of new debt?

I really hope she wasn’t abducted due to a Facebook post.

Possibly. I am wondering why there are numerous blood drops at the front door. If she had a bloody nose and they moved her to a car, only a couple to a few drops would be visible. Why are there many drops directly the front door?
They got her out the door, then one stayed with her while another moved the car as close to the door as possible.

It isn't likely the car was parked where it could be seen by the camera. Once the camera was removed, then the car was brought as close as possible in order to get NG inside.

The blood drops accumulated while they waited for the car to be moved.

The idea of a kidnapping in this day and age seems so odd as any transaction can be monitored.
Fundamentally, I agree with you regarding the lows odds for a kidnapping for ransom.

But.... some transactions are far easier to monitor than others. Evidently, certain bit coin transactions can be very hard, even for national level agencies to monitor. The transactions may also lead to countries were cooperation is slow and half hearted.

For example: Good news!! We traced the Bitcoin ransomware that company "C" paid to get their computers back. Bad news, it was traced to Yemen. The Yeminites swear they are "working on it" and will get back to us asap. But.... that was 4 months ago.

Jeez, the last exhausting Bitcoin trace was to Russia. It took the Russians 12 months to "cooperate". All we got was the most basic information about who they might (key word) have been. The money had been de-Bitcoined and was long gone.

For anyone commenting on Annie and Tommaso hiding their faces, let me just say this: A few years ago, someone very close to me died. At the celebration of life, most everyone we collectively knew was there—which was over 700 people. As we were about to sit down, I realized I was the only one standing and still far from my seat. All eyes were on me, and in this very surreal moment, all I wanted to do was hide. Hide from the people, the situation, the loss. All of it. It’s a moment I will never forget.

While I cannot relate specifically to what NG’s family is going through, I can say 100% for sure I would want to hide from it all. I simply cannot imagine having the entire country watching and analyzing all of this as it unfolds. My heart breaks for them.

Unless they did it, then I take it all back🥺

I believe LE is stating she needs meds, and can’t move well, to try and get sympathy from whoever may have her in hopes that they may release her. MOO

Lol so you basically call me, what, abnormal..? Because i have a different opinion or view than you have..? Great psychiatric nursing there 🤣
Also, you don't know me or what i have or have not been through so maybe stop YOUR judging for a bit 🤦🏼‍♀️
But you're judging them and their reaction to being photographed at a time like this. Hmm. Jmo.

I’m always wary of judging peoples looks whilst they are only a suspect. This comes from closely following the Joanna Yates case.
Christopher Jeffries in the Joanna Yates’ - he was basically tried and found guilty by the media for looking ‘scary’ and eccentric - turns out he had absolutely nothing to do with her murder and the media had to pay all sorts of compensation to him.
no you're right. i definitely believe in innocent until/unless proven guilty and i wouldn't want someone tried on looks alone. it was just a visceral reaction which is hard to fight sometimes, but let us follow facts and not looks, you are absolutely correct.

I hate to say it but my first thought (before knowing exactly who the family member was) was that the person who dropped her off Saturday may have been responsible. I never heard that it was verified through anything but the family member reporting that she made into the house safely.

If they were responsible (speculation still at this point), I wonder the circumstances. I don’t feel that a disappearance/ransom was the original intent. My thought was there was a conversation or request for money that didn’t go the way that they had hoped. Anger ensued and the situation took an ugly turn. After that, things were staged to look like an abduction and cameras removed. jMO. I definitely feel something seems off with the circumstances. I mean why wait an hour to call police when the front door looked like it did. My immediate thought would be to call police as soon as I saw all that. I hate to speculate on family members but this case is such a one off, it doesn’t seem random.
I agree with all of this.

you know...one would think no but some high profile people have been targets of assination. People on any side can have issues and be angry enough to act on them. People have changed a lot in the last 10 years I've noticed, starting with covid (not that there weren't issues already to be fair). It seems like after that so much changed and became at the forefront I guess is what I'm saying.

I'm trying to catch up.

So,
it seems the dinner was at daughter's home?? 🤔

Oh,
I thought it was a celebratory Birthday dinner at the restaurant.

Hmmm.....

I tend to believe that she was assaulted (or sadly possibly killed) in the home and carried to the car.
I feel this way too. I feel like someone was asking her for money and she refused and the person lost it and attacked her. Its someone she knows and likely had given money to before. Could be a landscaper or neighbor or family member...who knows. But the smashing of the cameras leads me to think someone was recorded going to her door. If it was a stranger that saw her at the grocery store or some such, I would think he would just cover up in all black and break in through the back. Not worry about all the cameras. And would also think he'd leave her there and not remove her. I really dont think this is a ransom thing either.

I am 99.999% sure that this is just a crazy coincidence, but it is kind of strange that the Italian SIL/BIL is being "identified" as a suspect and this whole situation means that Savannah won't be going to Italy to cover the Winter Olympics.

hmmmmm.
interesting.
But still...prob just that %99.999

"The sharing of unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation," the department noted. "No suspect or person of interest has been identified at this time.

I can't possibly catch up since last night after that Banfield shocker, But I do see that LE has NOT named the SIL as a suspect. I'm just going to wait it out.
