So why did the garage door open on her return?
Many people are in the habit of using their garage as their entry. For some reason, my husband never uses the front door.
It's likely a long acquired habit.

Wonder if they had her Uber to the house to have an alibi. Why would she Uber there and they bring her home later that night?
maybe they didn't want her uber'ing home. often my daughter will uber to work and I'll pick her up since I don't want her uber'ing at night

Already made one interest in an imposter ransom demand, and likely one other later today.

This timeline does not sound like an animal. It would be difficult for an animal to make a camera go offline that's on a wall.
I agree, I was surprised the sheriff conceded the detected person could have just been an animal.

Nancy was in an Uber that night. They spoke to the driver.
I totally missed this. The timeline says that she was dropped off by her family. So she must have taken the Uber to their home.

Why go in through the garage instead of the front door? She was dropped off, so she didn't drive.
Maybe I missed something in these 200+ pages.
IMO.
not unusual. we enter through our garage. i can't remember the last time we went through the front door. (we do not PARK in our garage.)

Question: What does "pacemaker app disconnects from phone" mean? I mean, I know what it means... but I'm trying to understand why it would do that. Thx.

Went out of range IMO. Pacemaker was no longer in range of her phone, which we know was found at her house.

Maybe just trying to head off follow up questions from a reporter "Well could it have been an animal?"

It doesn't sound like the family is getting a ton of information from LE?
