Not ruling anyone out....
because N didn't have a subscription and the recording only lasts about three hours (according to post upthread) and then overwrites itself.I don't understand how there is no footage of a person. WTF
I think he meant that more in a general sense, As in there is no video so it could be anything. I think If you actually look at the timeline its much more likely that it was someone that was involved with her disappearance when you look at how closely in time that her pacemaker disconnects from her phone. JMOI agree, I was surprised the sheriff conceded the detected person could have just been an animal.
My guess is that he should have said "movement," then. You're not wrong....maybe its' because mine will say "animal" and I look and 9 times out of 10 it's the stray cats coming to the windows to annoy one of my cats. You're right though, I'm guessing not all cameras and apps are going to work the same way.My camera once told me (in the middle of the night, thus terrifying me) that there was a person in my back garden when it was just a sunflower (that had been there for a while) so the cameras can be really inaccurate at times

You mean from the author of the note? They said there has been no proof of lifeI wish someone would ask if there has any response since the family spoke last night.
5 mins is really a short amount of time IMOSo the family called 911 within 5 minutes instead of an hour like previously thought. It is certainly reassuring that they saw quickly that something was wrong and called law enforcement. Yes, 5 minutes is still a long time, but between the shock/denial and scrambling around looking for her, that is reasonable, IMO.
I wonder if family found a ransom note at that time and panic'd between themselves on whether to call authorities. I suppose everything will come out in due time.
JMO.

This. Took an Uber to her daughter. I would never let my semi-immobile 84 YO mother take an uber when I could go get her.
just a small correction, i believe at 2:12 it was some type of movement detected but don't know if it was necessarily a person. Someone asked if it could've been an animal and Nanos said it very well could've been5:32pm- Nancy goes to dinner (takes an Uber)
9:48pm- Garage door opens indicating drop off
9:50pm- Garage door closes
1:47AM- Doorbell cam goes offline
2:12AM Person Detected, no video because no subscription
2:28AM Pacemaker disconnects
11:56AM Family checks on her
12:03PM 911 Call
Perp was there at least 50 minutes...
At this point, recovering the camera likely wouldn’t give them any info if the data is stored (or not, in this case) in the cloud, right?Have not recovered the camera.
