Sheriff stated nobody has been ruled out yet (question regarding people who were last with Nancy)
I’m hopelessly behind in the thread but I’m old enough that if I don’t respond to something right away, I’ll forget it. All that to say (and forgive me if this is an outdated reply or if someone else already said this)…maybe they were just covering all their bases in terms of kidnapping. What if someone actually did kidnap her, but it isn’t the one demanding ransom? It’s just some sick person that decided to hold an elderly lady captive? This way, while leading with emotions and humanizing Nancy, they’re hoping it will work on whoever may have her, ransom or not? And maybe there’s some kind of psychology that says if a plea is being made to someone but it’s not actually who the intended recipient of the message is, that person may ignore anything that comes after them acknowledging someone other than himself. I hope that makes sense, at least how I wrote it, not necessarily in theory! You're obviously schooled on this topic so I'll now acquiesce except for there was no need to open with any kind of demand, just an acknowledgement.
Thanks for all your input.
imo
because N didn't have a subscription and the recording only lasts about three hours (according to post upthread) and then overwrites itself.I don't understand how there is no footage of a person. WTF
Not racist. Just data presented in a factual manner. You were racist towards an ethnic group..Latino/Latinas.
I think he meant that more in a general sense, As in there is no video so it could be anything. I think If you actually look at the timeline its much more likely that it was someone that was involved with her disappearance when you look at how closely in time that her pacemaker disconnects from her phone. JMOI agree, I was surprised the sheriff conceded the detected person could have just been an animal.
My guess is that he should have said "movement," then. You're not wrong....maybe its' because mine will say "animal" and I look and 9 times out of 10 it's the stray cats coming to the windows to annoy one of my cats. You're right though, I'm guessing not all cameras and apps are going to work the same way.My camera once told me (in the middle of the night, thus terrifying me) that there was a person in my back garden when it was just a sunflower (that had been there for a while) so the cameras can be really inaccurate at times

You mean from the author of the note? They said there has been no proof of lifeI wish someone would ask if there has any response since the family spoke last night.
5 mins is really a short amount of time IMOSo the family called 911 within 5 minutes instead of an hour like previously thought. It is certainly reassuring that they saw quickly that something was wrong and called law enforcement. Yes, 5 minutes is still a long time, but between the shock/denial and scrambling around looking for her, that is reasonable, IMO.
I wonder if family found a ransom note at that time and panic'd between themselves on whether to call authorities. I suppose everything will come out in due time.
JMO.

This. Took an Uber to her daughter. I would never let my semi-immobile 84 YO mother take an uber when I could go get her.
