What was the veiled accusation ?
I think the person is saying that using the word "teacher" is a nod toward the SIL because he is a teacher. But Harvey says English teacher (referencing grammar and writing style) and I think the SIL is a science teacher.

This doesn't sound good. Unless they are are searching for something the alleged kidnapper left for LE to find

This case is exhausting....not the worst I"ve sat through by far (JA anyone?) but dang this is getting exhausting.

i still feel this is an insane amount of manpower to expend if the ransom note is a hoax or unrelated and they don't believe that nancy is still alive with the kidnapper who's sending the notes. IMO

lol. I think we’re all on the same page. Based on the new note and the immediate return to the scene, it stands to reason they are verifying something.

I am now leaning towards believing these ransom letters are in fact from the perpetrator. I’m still not sure paying the ransom will secure NGs safe return though.

Maybe the proof of life was asking Nancy to state where something is in her house that noone else would know. This doesn’t seem
Actual proof of life to me but seems like a possibility

SG stated they need to know that their mother is alive and well. That was specific and generally the type of proof of life one needs from a kidnapper to move forward. Proof that she is alive or what's the point.

His wife, Nancy's daughter, is a poet.

I'm remembering in the Moscow, Idaho murders, the police chief saying things such as, "We really have no idea about that", etc. and it turned out they were moving in for an arrest.

Playing dumb to protect the investigation.
It is possible for sure

Why would anyone, let alone an elderly lady, open their door at that time of night though? It makes no sense.
Young girl alone, in her 20's, pretending to be lost, distressed, crying. Asking for help because her car broke down. Pretends she is pregnant, sick, or has left her young child in the car.

There could be a number of stories that would tug at a grandma's heartstrings.

IDK. I am just thinking about the neighbor's report of a young couple lurking about the neighborhood. I had not thought about one of the kidnappers being female, but that might come in handy when kidnapping an older female. Not only to abduct the victim but also to keep her calm while the ransom is being arranged.

When I am thinking about a theory I like to walk it through and see if it makes sense.

If anyone inner circle was involved in any way, and NG needs daily medication, wouldn't it just be easier to F with her medication and call it a day. A kidnapping and ransom notes involving the FBI and a relative who is a major news journalist and public figure, is not the way to commit a quiet crime and collect some money!

If these ransom notes are real, I tend to think it's very coordinated, above most pay grades, and about more than money. I mean yes, SG makes a very good salary, but in terms of celebrity and athlete and finance world, she's not the person who would come to mind and getting her through her 84 year old mother. Just bizarre. There was an article in the NY Post today with a former CIA guy who thinks it would either be a crazed stalker of Savannah or someone unhappy with a story. I mean, who knows. I don't. In my head, I think that this will either show itself as so stupidly simple and amateur, or else something we can't even envision and may never know. I don't think it's family at this point, but if I'm wrong, I wouldn't be shocked either.

What age and type person would overestimated their abilities and think they can outwit the FBI on a technical level?
Well they haven't overestimated their abilities (that we know of) yet. But, I would guess a high IQ individual with possible LE training/knowledge. Someone that knows about emails and Bitcoin, and how not to be traced. Someone with enough patience to plan ahead and wait this out for at least a week. An educated adult.

Seems to me they didn't move back media to this degree during yesterday's re- crimetaping and search of the garage
Probably because the media reported that they took evidence out of the house

yes but...not an English teacher. and to be fair, not all poetry is about proper spelling, grammar, punctuation. Sometimes that's part of poetry.

I totally agree but that’s not to say the kidnapper tries to provide proof of life through other means being concerned a video might be traceable.
At this point the family will be very desperate so may be willing to accept anything.
