Or maybe they're catching on that this person likes media attention. And they're trying to stay one step ahead. It's been kind of hard when media has been reporting every movement of LE.

Media can be such a devil sometimes. There are so many ways that reporting can impede an investigation or help a criminal evade LE. As much as I love following along with the investigation, I first and foremost want this solved and NG recovered.

I've speculated before that the person(s) that did this is disappointed the body has not been found yet. May or may not point to motive.

Well they haven't overestimated their abilities (that we know of) yet. But, I would guess a high IQ individual with possible LE training/knowledge. Someone that knows about emails and Bitcoin, and how not to be traced. Someone with enough patience to plan ahead and wait this out for at least a week. An educated adult.
I wonder if someone very high IQ with exceptional tech skills would go the kidnapping route? This is a labor intensive crime. Abducting someone, keeping them captive, returning them. All while remaining invisible so the victim could not identify them. Perhaps killing them. Very risky way to make some money if they have the tech skills to steal money in other ways.

But yes someone smart, educated, good skills. But not top of the line. And perhaps young. If older, didn't think it all through.

If anyone inner circle was involved in any way, and NG needs daily medication, wouldn't it just be easier to F with her medication and call it a day. A kidnapping and ransom notes involving the FBI and a relative who is a major news journalist and public figure, is not the way to commit a quiet crime and collect some money!

If these ransom notes are real, I tend to think it's very coordinated, above most pay grades, and about more than money. I mean yes, SG makes a very good salary, but in terms of celebrity and athlete and finance world, she's not the person who would come to mind and getting her through her 84 year old mother. Just bizarre. There was an article in the NY Post today with a former CIA guy who thinks it would either be a crazed stalker of Savannah or someone unhappy with a story. I mean, who knows. I don't. In my head, I think that this will either show itself as so stupidly simple and amateur, or else something we can't even envision and may never know. I don't think it's family at this point, but if I'm wrong, I wouldn't
Saw a crazy theory about a deceased dad and ties to JE...all kinds of bizarre theories out there. JMO

It feels like a sadist who is playing with the family for maximum cruelty. just awful.

Wondering how they will provide CURRENT proof of life with something in the house?
maybe its in the amazon package on the porch...

Young girl alone, in her 20's, pretending to be lost, distressed, crying. Asking for help because her car broke down. Pretends she is pregnant, sick, or has left her young child in the car.

There could be a number of stories that would tug at a grandma's heartstrings.

IDK. I am just thinking about the neighbor's report of a young couple lurking about the neighborhood. I had not thought about one of the kidnappers being female, but that might come in handy when kidnapping an older female. Not only to abduct the victim but also to keep her calm while the ransom is being arranged.

When I am thinking about a theory I like to walk it through and see if it makes sense.
I think most people in that scenario would call the police or a loved one for backup or something. I don’t even live in the US, with the crime rates you guys have. It’s extremely safe here, but I’d never-ever open the door in the middle of the night, nor would anyone I know.

I just had a horrible thought.
The plea from the family included we will pay if you indeed have Nancy.
What if they paid anyway out of fear and without proof of life, and they are getting Nancy's body back ?

Maybe that $50K reward got a new tip?

Something seems to be up

Wow what did they

Emphasis mine.
Valid point !!
Hmm.
Am still surprised that Nancy's home was released to the family so soon, but again maybe it was deliberate ?
Which brings up other questions.
Omo.
I wonder if the securing, releasing, securing, releasing and now securing again is not just messy police work. Possibly early suspicion of inner circle person(s) and wanting to see if they might do anything or move anything or take anything. The notion that not allowing access might not potentially move the investigation forward.

My sense is that whatever was planned did not go as planned. I think Nancy was alive when she was taken out of the house. I think there was a plan to get a ransom and return her but now it's not possible to return her and not get caught. I think there was a participant or participants in the inner circle and the heavy lifting was done by unsavory acquaintances, I suspect these acquaintances did not intend to do anything besides collect a lot of money and abscond when possible. I think the members of the inner circle are sweating as they realize they are part of a plot that has gone very south. I can only imagine the tension.
Fargo like?

I hope not, and that would not help their ransom demands They’ve already searched for disturbed earth,
The letter was received approximately 4 hours ago, it might be LE had to do some research and get another search warrant approved by a judge?

I will just say: My goodness this is wild. And we've all followed some wild ones.

I had a really wild theory when replaying SG's Instagram video. Could it be possible that LE knew very early on NG is not alive and disclosed that to SG, but have since been dealing with the ransom claims (which LE perhaps know were coordinated by someone close to SG). In other words, there is asymmetric information being shared by LE with SG and her family, and SG is in the impossible situation of knowing the unthinkable has happened, but has to go along with the LE strategy while they monitor people close to SG?

If this second note contained something only the kidnapper could know, I'd rule out suspecting the family. There is no way AG/her husband could be covertly sending ransom notes with the media, LE, family etc. all surrounding them. Even by email, that's way too risky and easily discovered.
Is there another note??? What did I miss??

  • #6,999
Hmm could she be close by?
I've been worried that the Sherrifs Department may have dropped the ball by calling off search and recovery efforts so quickly.

We've mentioned how the desert landscape and lack of cameras makes it hard to track things or people. This would include disposing of a body.

I hope that the sniffing dogs would've been sufficient enough but I have my doubts.
