Do they also need a warrant if the family approved of the search?
I would think they would need a warrant still. The property belongs to NG. She is not declared dead but she is also not around to give permission to search her home. That is why they need to get a warrant for all areas.

Maybe they’re distracting us from something else going on. This is weird.

There is so much vegetation on the property that NG wouldn’t be able to maintain on her own so there had to be a groundskeeper. If it’s not family I would look at those who had regular access to her property.
Good point.

As a side note, the groundskeeper could be groundskeepers if they contracted not to an individual, but to a company with several trucks and a lot of accounts. This arrangement may lead different people coming by on different days depending on scheduling, number of employees and convenience.

Wouldn't there be a few entry points in neighborhoods I know the Canada border there is.
Short, sweet and to the point, no. The Mexican border is very different than the Canadian border.

There are a small number of border crossings in remote towns that could arguably immediately join neighborhood to neighborhood. But, even these are gated, fenced and manned by both Mexican and US officials. The fence goes through the neighborhoods on both sides.

Too my knowledge, the last possible unofficial, but tolerated "always been there" type crossing was in a very remote part of the Big Bend area of Texas that joined a small number of homesteads on both sides together by a hand cranked cart over the Rio Grande. I think, however, that even this was taken down many years ago.

The thing has been removed and now it has been taken into the house.

Multiple agents walking around the backyard area with clipboards, searching in bushes?
Do the clipboards mean they are doing a grid search?

Taking photos of whatever that thing is.

could that be the broken floodlight that was mentioned in the 1st note?

Earlier on Fox, a reporter said they saw one in the backyard with their drone (before all this new searching was going on)

Are they on the roof of a guest house?

🫥 I.....have no words. I mean of course it's possible. Stranger things have happened. Exactly though, what is the basis for him saying this though? No one knows.
So tired of this sheriff, seems amateurish.
On another point, it appears nobody has any idea where this poor woman is, or whether she's even alive. Every day that goes by, the chances continue to diminish.
I'm worn out.
The FBI should be able to identify a suspect if it was an inside job (family, servants, etc)
I don't get it, and I don't want to hear anything about LE playing 4-D chess or any such nonsense.
The full resources of the federal govt are being brought to this and...nothing.

Definitely reading into it too much. Those are the only two local news stations in Tucson.
no there are 3. KOLD, KGUN, and KVOA. All for big three 3, plus local fox stations have morning shows

This is driving me insane, what was it?!
Did the perpetrator(s) leave a camera of their own at the scene to keep an eye on things after the fact?

So much activity on and around that roof.
Is this thev main house or an adjacent guest house
Maybe line of sight or DNA from roof

Clipboards? Like this is a scavenger hunt.

There is something really foreboding about this....

And it seems related to confirming the authenticity of the ransom letters...

But not actual proof of life.

Here u go guys!!!

KOLD Ransom note was sent through newsroom tip system - so not an email after all.

No proof of life in message. Not calling it a "ransom note."

No further demands made.

Message did not offer a way for the family to communicate.

Does contain a detail that would perhaps allow investigators to determine it's the same person who sent the first note.
