Diversion???
Do we have any applicable examples of something like this? This would be a ton of manpower to waste on some sort of diversion…and to what end?

Teslas are "cyber cars". I think they're online via Starlink 24/7. Their cameras are always working.
They used them to catch people vandalizing them and dealerships, when all that was going on.

It takes time to get evidence results back from labs, from what I understand. Just my opinion, but they are likely waiting on those results.
Hopefully the FBI/Qunatico is able to get them results quickly.

We don't know that they didn't have police sitting on the house. We've also seen them set up cameras to monitor locations in previous cases. I remember the Jayme Closs case where a police camera captured someone breaking into the house weeks after the murders.
Yeah, they managed to snag some pervert who broke in to steal her underwear after the original crime. I'd forgotten about that little "sting".

I hear you and I appreciate you playing devil’s advocate :) But do you actually think in this case that LE have been sitting on the house or have cameras? I hope so, but I’m not so sure.

I would hate for them to pay a fake ransom and it embolden a scammer to do it again
i think scammers are already emboldened as are kidnappers

A potential deviation in all of this is that the cameras may be the kidnapper(s) and he/she/they referenced them in the second letter. Indeed, what if the perp was watching the investigators? 😳

JMO.
That's a little too Hollywood for me.

I think it's one of Nancy's, and they previously didn't remove it for some reason. It better be a good reason.

Agree! It could have been planned release of crime scene.

I was looking for information about who was at the game night and/or dinner at the sister's (AG's) house.
Who were the last to see Nancy in person besides family ?
Not sure if it's significant, but if it was a MahJong game, for instance, it requires at least four players.
I have a reason for wondering, but wanted to see if anyone had more information about Nancy's final hours.
Tia.
Imo.
You can play Mahjong with 2 players, and even 3 (Siamese mahjong or use a ghost player)

I deleted my original post because I didn't realize it is Fox News.

I must say that Trump's comments are concerning. His comments seem more like it could be someone closer to Nancy. I hope that is not the case. I truly do.

I have been on the fence. I truly believe it is possible that she was kidnapped and still think that could be an option until told otherwise.

The house is older and was probably considered pretty remote when it was built. Maybe the small structure is a well house?

The context is that the Senator's daughter was kidnapped. She goes on TV to make a plea for the person to return her daughter, and goes out of her way to humanize her to the kidnapper by saying that and other things about her.

ETA: I got to this comment of mine and realized my profile has a Silence of the Lambs quote, ha. May have seen it once or twice. 🙃
Yes thank you, it was in the context of a kidnapping story line in the movie. I still think it is quite odd to use a quote from a movie about a serial killer when talking to the person who has abducted your mother. There are other ways to humanize the victim. I am assuming the FBI gave some tips on how to handle communication and that is one I cannot figure out.

What if it was hooked into the area the perps planned to hold NG and could receive a transmission when proof of life was requested?

I have zero tech skills so don't have any idea if they could transmit video to a "card" that LE could then access. In olden times a newspaper with date easily visible was used to establish time and proof of life.

i am wondering if the camera on the roof was a wildlife camera.

A news outlet that had previously received a communication from the "kidnapper," received another communication. It appeared similar, and included some detail that would supposedly verify that they were the same person who sent the previous communication.

This communication was sent through the newsroom tip system, and wasn't an email as we had previously believed. That's likely the case with the communications the other station and TMZ received in the past, but not a fact.

After this communication, police returned to the house. They were spread out all over the place, seemingly looking at different things. They may have removed a camera from the roof area of the house.

That's pretty much it.
Thank you!! So basically no major breaks or updates? Or proof of life?

Question: Do we know why the Circle K? And where is that in relation to AG's?
I don't think there is much info out in the Circle K. But.... if I were to guess from my previous life in SOCAL....

Once development spreads from the city and 'burbs proper into the surrounding hills, the road net work can thin out. Certain canyon- or relative canyon roads then become by far the most convenient routes for people to come and go by. Some times, alternative routes can take you miles out of your way.

So.... the convenient routes become "ckoke points" (military term describing roads, bridges etc. that enemies must use if they want to get from "A" to "B"). Except in this case, the users are not enemies, but commuters etc.

Some canyon roads don't have a lot of businesses on them until one gets to the built up areas. A Circle K or other gas station on a "choke point" would then make super convenient waiting spot, meet up spot etc for the kidnappers.

They might also need to drive by it to get to the home. Likewise, choke point the Circle K could serve as an emergency holding spot for: " No, no not now! A neighbor is walking their dog- turn around!! type commands from a gang leader.

this same investigative pattern of repeat visits to the crime scene by LE happened during the idaho 4 investigation, from what I recall, MOO.
Gilgo Beach cases as well
