I haven't been watching video, only reading here -- can anyone confirm that the building where the camera/floodlight/whatever was removed was for sure the main house? Or could it have been on the casita instead?

It was on the casita pointed towards the backyard.

Just in on Court Tv. TMZ is saying that Nancy is alive and where the kidnappers will drop her off.

I think is from earlier when TMZ reported that the first ransom note claimed that Nancy was alive and that if the ransom was paid, the kidnappers would return her to Tucson within 12 hours, so they drew a radius of what would fall within a 12 hour drive at 60 miles an hour.

I keep thinking best case scenario is she's being kept and taken care of at a house in the area. How many of us would know if our neighbor had someone being held captive in their house?
Just my opinion and praying for this type of outcome.
I realize it's not likely because she would see the person holding her captive but I have to believe there's some decency in this world. Otherwise it just feels too evil

Interesting, If they are taking her vehicle it would seem to indicate that it was somehow used in the commission of the crime imo

Are you perhaps thinking of Harvey's recap on TMZ where he gave more details from the first note, e.g. that if ransom was paid they would return Nancy to Tucson? (Source: Nancy Guthrie Alleged Ransom Letter Offers Clues to Geographic Area of Search)

Defense attorneys will have a field day with this, ugh

If they are doing it for a strategic purpose and they still retained control somewhat of the scene after “officially” releasing it (for example if they planted cameras), I think they/prosecutors could probably effectively defend it. I mean a defense attorney absolutely will still pounce on it, but if they can lay out the logic behind doing what they’re doing, it might be salvageable for a jury.

If they can’t, then yeah, absolute win for the defense

This isn’t new. He said this after the first letter came in. As far as we know there is absolutely no proof been provided that she is indeed alive
