I did not realize that the phone was not in the house...and I did not think this all the way through, but what if the abductors wanted to keep syncing her pacemaker with her phone (and watch) while they transported her elsewhere in her car... and then it was a BIG mistake on their part not to take it back into the house?

If the car was used in the crime somehow, interesting that they shared the timeline data of the garage door opening/closing when she was dropped off by family and not later in the night. They would presumably have data for both (unless the operator was disconnected somehow like the camera?) but were holding it back for whatever reason...? Confused how they haven't towed the car yet if it's coming up now, but this has been the most bizarre case to follow.

I was actually in the camp of someone that was in relation to her social circle (not family) being responsible, but now I'm leaning in a different direction. JMO.

Is it possible that this was never a kidnapping , but an attempt to cover up a murder?
That’s been my suspicion all along

Woah, I didn’t realize her phone was found in the car? I cant find - could you link?
Hmm was NG car at AG/TC's? And did SIL drive her home in it? Followed by AG to ride back home with. Something's not adding up with the ride home story. OR did NG drive herself home??

I know but this was different.
Is it different beyond the receipt of a ransom that may or may not be legitimate? Asking legitimately…as you can see by my post history I am just as on the fence and perplexed as everyone else and change my opinion hourly

On paper, they can bring in writing analysts, they can examine the paper and where it is sold from and dusted for fingerprints...etc...

Using the computer to send ransom notes is so much hard or nearly impossible to trace.
BTK (Blind, Torture, Kill serial murderer from Topeka KS) send messages to local police. His last message to them was used on either a typewriter or computer at his church, and that ultimately confirmed to the police that he was the BTK murderer. Agree with Warwick7 that it's nearly impossible to trace, but once there is a connection with a person or place, these connections can be made. IMO

That's true about her phone. Odd it would be in her car since she ubered to the dinner. She had her phone to contact uber. I'd assume she'd have it on her when Uber arrived to pick her up.

So she'd have it at dinner and then when her SIL/BIL drove her back home. HOW did it end up in her car ?

I'd think she would keep it with her when she went back home and went inside. I'd want it with me, home alone in a big house all night. So when did it get placed into her car?
She has a home phone AND a car phone?

Has LE towed NG’s car previously? Or is this the first time it’s been removed to be processed elsewhere? If the latter, I’d be interested to know why they are doing it now — have they located information which leads them to believe the car may have played a role in the crime somehow?
According to this article, a car was indeed towed and the sheriff made some grand gesture suggesting it was so routine. LOL it wasn't Nancy's though, the victim, at her own home at the crime scene?

You can go back and edit your own old posts for like an hour after to remove the comment and put "DBM" instead.
(DBM = Deleted By Me).
This wasn’t directed at one of my posts! Hopefully other user deletes ◡̈

There is so much that we initially heard that is not correlating with what we are currently hearing. MO

Just my opinion, but maybe LE got some evidence results back from labs and now are curious to see whose dna is primary on the steering wheel. I've always thought it odd NG's cell phone was in the car, when it seems most people would have their phone in the house with them. Just my random thoughts/guesses, fwiw.
Her phone was found in her home.

There was blood involved here, and I've been confused because if they do have a suspect, then her blood should be in the car.

Perhaps though, it was the wrong car.

But that too of course.
But why would blood be by the front door if she was moved with her car.

Yeah, that is a really big problem with her car being involved.

Holding it back doesn't seem to work, because you'd fully expect them to have towed the car if they knew the garage had been opened later on.

I guess disconnected could work...

It's an issue.

Wow. Her own car is brand new, it surely has location tracking, they’ll definitely figure out if it was used in any way. And if it was, they can’t have gone that far to have made it back in the cover of night and put the car back. And I doubt they could’ve fled on foot without cameras catching them, even if they had an accomplice pick them up close by.

It would seem to point at someone close to her, but I still don’t see how they could’ve done something like this and hidden her for this long without LE catching on.

What is going on? ☹️

Per Sheriff Nanos 9:48 p.m. - Family drops Nancy off at home & garage door opens.

9:50 p.m. - Garage door closes.
Thank you! But is that the ONLY time during the day it opened/closed? If she left that way for the Uber, it would have had to have opened/closed then, too. Again, just a thought.

Yes, and no clue where the phone in the car came from? First I’ve heard.

I don't think fingerprinting is really even used anymore with the advances of DNA. It's a pretty unreliable and outdated science.
Fingerprints are as unique as a DNA. They are still definitely used and still definitely not scientifically outdated.

There are still used in connection with DNA and yes they’re not automatically considered the gold standard as they used to be, but they are still useful and still very helpful
