I may have misunderstood that as something said early in the investigation; if so, sorry, Folks. On the other hand, several other posters have confirmed they too heard NG's cell phone was in her car, early in the investigation; and later, news outlets were saying the phone was found at the home. So I don't think we have proof either way where her phone was actually located. It may be the local Sheriff let it slip the phone was in the car and when they realized that was important, had him drop that and let the news outlets report it "was found at the home". There are various reasons LE allows misperceptions and misdirections to persist during an investigation. Just my opinion, fwiw.Her phone was in the car? I missed that
