If you are listening to Tricia, Brian Entin just said that 3 deputies just arrived at Annie’s house now

but don't you need your phone for uber? i would think she would have her phone with her when she left her house. my 87 year old mother always took her cell with her when she left the house!
Her daughter may have ordered the Uber.

At the very beginning of the case there were indeed reports the victim's phone was in the car. I found it odd as well.
Thank you ! At least 3 of us saw the statement. Whether it was accurate or not, who knows, but it was said.

I predict an arrest is about to happen....imo

i'm not buying that.... she didn't pay for camera/security but paid for a whole 2nd mobile phone? i don't think so IMO
Some phones and plans are ridiculously inexpensive. So, if in practical matters of her day-to-day needs she had actually needed a phone but had never felt the need for the security subscription. Then, yes.

Yes. I don't believe the left the house alive, but if she did, she's just got to be dead now.

If she was actually kidnapped for ransom, there would have been proof of life, not these bizarre games with news outlets as an intermediary, where they refuse to provide the one thing they need to provide to get paid.

And the delay in doing that too.
Completely agree with MassGuy. I don't believe she was kidnapped for ransom since the first ransom letter came after 24 hours and these ransom letters have given no indication that she's alive and therefore that they need to be paid. I think the ransom letters are a distraction. MO

Thinking of NG and the family right now as this all seems to be coming to a head. A cold, dark evening seems fitting, unfortunately.

Why would they keep going back to Annie’s place?

Could they have opened the garage, cut the power and then when the vehicle brought back, turned power back on and then didnt reset the time on the opener?

Depending on the model, the app could show 'Offline/Reboot' indicators that could imply it was disconnected. It depends on the model of operator and what app she was using, but I have the impression the house has had a lot of maintenance work done. If they're able to confirm the time the door opened/closed from the operator, it's probably 10 years old at most. The newer it is, the more information they're probably able to track from the operator and connected app.

Edit: Battery backup has also been pretty standard since 2019/2020, after California passed a law requiring all new operators in the state to have one. It became pretty standard nationwide. So it's even more likely that it might be more involved than just switching off the power, depending on when it was put in.

Maybe the reason she took an Uber that night is because someone borrowed her car?

So, does NG have the smart garage door app that she can open and close garage and also see times the door is opened and closed. I have it. Called My Q? I assumed that's how LE know the times her garage opened and then closed when she was brought home. But what if they are just going on times the person who brought her home said she opened and closed garage.

Did she bring garage opener with her? If she has the My Q she can use that app on her phone. Or she may have the keypad outside the garage. I will try to look at garage pics to see if she has keypad.

If she used My Q app she might have put her phone in her car on her way into house, to charge and be there for church the next day. Seems odd.
Does the app tell you if the door was opened manually?

Brian Entin (News Nation) just reported via X/Twitter that three deputies just arrived at Annie Guthrie's house. So much happening tonight, honestly, I am really on edge.

In his latest video he stated that Annie's house seems to be empty. It seems as if SG left and maybe they found another place to stay. Are they collecting evidence?

If indeed a random stranger moved her in her own car, surely they wouldn't take the chance of returning the car.

Or perhaps they just wanted some privacy and had the means for it

ETA: playing devils advocate here to an extent (although I hate this term generally!!)…still have a bad feeling the ransom is not relevant
