AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

I was thinking they could’ve opened the garage, the ladies got out and they closed the garage door with the Daugter exiting a different door near where the car moved to

Tommaso drove Nancy home per New York Times interview with Sheriff Nanos

"After dinner and games, Mr. Cioni drove Ms. Guthrie home, and the garage door at her home opened at around 9:48 p.m., Sheriff Nanos said. That door closed at 9:50 p.m."

Brian Entin reported car at Annie's house was taken
Ok. Per this clip I see that AB reports that her source told her that AG's car was taken:
But I haven't caught Brain Entin reporting that.

I edited and deleted that bit because I thought I'd backspaced it out before making following post.

I didn't have a link and kinda half recall it was AB who said it when talking with BE on a broadcast.

If Nancy's car was at her daughters house because maybe from a previous visit earlier that week because she didn't feel well enough to drive back then or she ran out of gas or something and so she left it there so her daughter or SIL brought her home that time maybe it would explain her taking the Uber to that dinner. Idk JMO
Most elderly people are not able to see well at night, so they do not drive after dark. That's probably why Nancy did not drive herself to her daughter's house.

This Brian entin interview with former border patrol is v interesting.

Someone who knows the terrain could easily get to the house on foot.

In fact there is one point where a car suddenly drives past them in the background in what otherwise appears to be a completely rural desert landscape.

It really helped me understand the lack of camera sightings.

If the family members who dropped her off turn out to be guilty, it's possible they drove into garage with NG's body in car. Then waited till 1:47am to turn off cameras, and carry her body out front door (gets cut on way out, to explain blood) to new car. Pacemakers will continue to send electrical impulses after the heart stops beating, so I wonder if it's possible the scene of the crime was elsewhere.
I've been theorizing similar to you. Though I was considering NG to still be alive when the car pulls into the garage. And possibly when they leave the home too.
Also, yes pacemakers often have to be turned off after death, this can be done with a magnet. But it's stated she had a pacemaker app on her phone, theres also things like Life Alert. LE likely has way more data than we know.
Car pulls into garage with occupants, door shuts. Then we have no idea what's going on in the home until the ring cam disconnects in the early AM. I'm very curious when anyone last saw Nancy prior to this family get together.

I wonder whether the notes were sent to TMZ and KOLD because they are low technological level?

I assume if I send such a note to “The Atlantic”, they’d have more resources to sort things out, where it came from, who sent it, VPN or not.

But TMZ and KOLD may have older computers and some systems not helpful to define the origin of the ransom notes.

Could it be true? And could the person sending them know about it?

(Nothing against what they write. The question is about technological equipment and if the sender had some prior connection to these places, knew their weakness, in a way).

Last time anyone saw NG alive was night of 1/31/26. Blood droplets exterior front entryway belonging to NG could mean NG last proof of life 2/1/26 early morning. Zero proof of life after say 2:30am. I don't see ransom letters sent days after NG last known life are related to NG disappearance. Without any proof of life, IMO, NG is deceased

From my limited understanding the hiding of the source is done by the criminals and not to do with the recipient.

If you open this link and scroll down to the video called:
Could a potential Bitcoin ransom be traced? Experts advise

There is a cyber security expert who states that in order to hide the source of the ransom note email from FBI the criminals must be 'highly sophisticated'.

He didn't explain why/how but I think we are talking something more than an average VPN which even I have, and I'm a fairly reluctant technology user.

Edited for clarity.

I'm not sure about KOLD, but my guess is that they sent it to TMZ because they thought that TMZ would be most likely to publish the note, or at least talk about it publicly

To me most reliable sighting of NG alive is Uber Driver who picked up NG alive at 5:32 then dropped NG off at AG house prior to 6pm. Only last proof of life is Uber driver unless AG had inside home cameras and car cameras

Her pacemaker was working at her house later.
It works off her phone, though right? Not something AT her home. So I think it's an assumption she was home?

What proof can TC give that he dropped off NG and that she was alive?

Only proof TC has given is his word. Where's the proof NG went into house via garage alive?

Well, I'm not part of the investigation team so am not privy to what proof they may or may not have... was just passing on those details Sheriff Nanos gave to NY Times ;)

So they just pulled up in the driveway, watched her go into her garage, and when door closed they drove off? :(
Yep, sounds suspicious to me. No time for even goodbye, let me help you open the door and get you inside safe and sound. 2 mins bye, hurry, get inside, garage door closing in 120 seconds...run don't walk with cane. Does not add up.

I still want to know why no mention of NG's cane's, whereabouts. Missing, left in the house? What?!
