All those cameras and no cloud recording.. so not really careful about using them for security. so why would perp remove just one?
Do we know it was even there before that night? It was a battery one.

I AM REPOSTING my comment and will check back later this afternoon to see your responses, still hoping that LE will have something new to report later today.

SO -- I've waited before making any comment because I felt we were all rushing to judgement. It's a human reaction to pin the crime on one of the nearest relatives, but it can also backfire. I know Savannah personally, and the last thing I want to do is bring more pain to the Guthrie family. Imagine if your mom was abducted and the public was pointing the finger at you. The sting would be that much greater. All that said, as of this AM, they have collected the elusive white van and as you all know, a second note was sent to KOLD yesterday which has been verified as coming from the same encrypted server. This note apparently made contact with the family, responding to the videos made by Savannah and her siblings. We now have President Trump indicating that officials are close to identifying the abductor or abductors. The horrible thing now, of course, is that we have no proof of life. I PRAY that Nancy is alive after being without her meds for 7 days. It is totally possible. Let's remember that. In fact, billboards are now being put up in AZ and surrounding states asking for the public's help. The hard question now is: WOULD YOU HIT SEND to give millions in crypto to this abductor before the deadline on Monday? If no one is caught this weekend, Savannah will be struggling with the possibility that non-payment could mean death for her mom... MY HEART IS BREAKING FOR HER...
Yeah and maybe check on that van. Thanks.

I have been wondering about that. Usually I would think they can not only match the blood to NG but how old is it? From the description of her medical condition and photos (one with bandaid and one with SG and NG in blue top and her left arm in all bruised...a clear sign that she bleeds easily. It could be from another time and just not gotten it cleaned up yet given she mostly uses garage door?

If Mrs. Guthrie had not turned up missing maybe but under the circumstances the blood appears to be evidence.

I think the family is wise to not touch the property even after release. For example not cleaning the blood, or staying in the home or even the guest house, not gathering there for any reason, until there is some resolution, imo.

If the blood was from a previous incident considering her home appears to be well kept I think it would have been cleaned up pretty quickly by either Mrs Guthrie, if we are to believe she’s fully able of taking care of her tasks, a house keeper, or her daughter who I presume would have been told I had a bloody spell on the front porch I got it stopped but it’s a mess out there.

The front door is used as evidenced by the package.

Also neighbors or friends stopping by she wouldn’t want blood and lots of it out there since she seemed tidy.

I am realizing that many aren’t as involved with their moms like me; we’ve always hung out a lot.

So maybe the routine was the partner drops her off late in the deep dark night and is on his way without a second thought as many seem to think that not unusual.

It may be they are just not that close or involved in her life or don’t want to start any time consuming habits of assistance.

All imo

As a crime writer it says. I was suggesting insider because she says she knows SG personally. Does verification as a crime writer pass as an approved source for what she said about white van? Idk just would like to know if the info is accurate.

Our ring camera setup is connected to a flood light outside of our garage. If it senses motion it turns on and records. LE may know the time the garage door opened and shut when NG returned home because she had a similar setup. If that flood light was smashed later they would not have info that the door was again opened later that night or early morning. Her car could have left and returned after the flood light was disabled.
I have a Ring Floodlight camera as well as doorbell camera. Mine is above the garage. LE has never confirmed if the "floodlight" they are talking about is a camera or just a motion detecting floodlight. Before I got the Ring cameras, I had a motion detecting floodlight that turned on when someone was in the driveway or walking up to the porch. LE did confirm Nancy had a Google nest doorbell cam and "ADT" but didn't elaborate on the specifics of the latter. ADT is an alarm system, but they also offer inside and outside cameras and partner with Google Nest that can connect with the alarm system

The fact a white van is even mentioned is more evidence we are living in a simulation. It doesnt get any more cliche than a kidnapper with a white van, does it?? This guy wanted to be a kidnapper his whole life. White van, ransom note.

That damn white van every time…. imo

Yes I would hit send if the FBI could give me reasonable assurance that the ransom demand is likely legit. On another note since you reposted your comment I am hopeful the Van info is correct.

Why Nancy Guthrie? What made her a victim in this?

If truly not for ransome, what was the endgame here?

SA that went worse than it would be just because?

Robbery attempt? Nancy woke up and it went sideways.

A grudge centered on Savannah? I just don’t see that.

I think these ransoms attempts are either a badly thought out afterthought or people trying to cash in.

Probably the strangest case I’ve ever followed.

MOO
Same, its perhaps the strangest ive followed in a while. I literally only login here when its a weird one, admittedly. Kyron Hormon, Laci Peterson, Madelyn McCann, etc. Ones that just don't fit right in what i feel a random crime would look like.

i was thinking the same thing!

my thoughts about the person who did this (though to be honest, with such a strange case i’m prepared to be completely off)
- bitcoins became popular in the mainstream around 2013. i could see a more tech savvy person in their 30s get into them around that time, someone like that could even be in their early 50s now! so the perp doesn’t have to be super young imo
- the silence of the lambs came out in 1991, so around 35 years ago. i do think it’s a classic, i’m in my early 30s and i’ve seen it too. it makes me think the perp is 30+ but i also think referencing movies in his ransom letter, and using movies as code (if that’s what’s happened) especially says something about his personality - someone who likes to show off his knowledge or who likes to pretend he’s in a movie
- i also think only a local would choose to target NG
- doing this in the dead of night, in the weekend, makes me think it might be someone with a monday to friday job and maybe a partner or family who were not supposed to notice he went missing for a few hours
- could also be two people working together, but i’m not really sure about that
Or someone with a spouse who works nights or weekends so not there to see they aren't actually home....

Armchair detectives flood social media as search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mom continues

Source Associated press search for Nancy Guthrie 02/07/26

Websleuths has competition! LOL. This case is white hot.
Banfield is specifically mentioned in this story.

Moments after the news broke about the apparent abduction of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, the floodgates opened on social media....

As the search continues with no suspects or persons of interest, posts across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and YouTube have put millions of eyeballs on tips and theories surrounding her disappearance. But they’ve also helped to amplify rumors and forced law enforcement to repeatedly set the record straight on at least one crucial detail.
I am seeing it pop up all over my social media. Which is good, it creates awareness. What is a bit concerning is... we are on Day 6 or 7? And no sign of her. No real leads that we know of. There is a lot of independent media/msm in Tucson too, they are following LE and staking out the family homes.

I don't know whether the ransom note is real, and if they really have her or not. But until they find NG, it lends credibility to it. Hope today is the day they find her.

All JMO

For now.. rbbm. snippets.
''Speaking to the Daily Mail, Dr Bryanna Fox, a former FBI special agent in the agency's Behavioral Science Unit and criminology professor at the University of South Florida, stated that Guthrie most likely doesn't know her kidnapper.

"If it were a family member or somebody who knows the house, they wouldn't have forced entry,"
Dr Fox explained. "If she knew them, they would have been likely to have carried out a ruse to get her to go with them and get into the vehicle."

"This was not just a random selection of the victim. This was probably a person or a group of people that selected her, probably cased her pattern of life, what time she goes to sleep, knew that she didn't have security, knew that she lived alone and would be sleeping alone," Dr Fox claimed.''

''However, Chris McDonough, a retired detective with Oceanside PD, instead thinks that Guthrie had "crossed paths" with her abductor at least once before, stating he could be a "gardener or a delivery person."

''Profiling the abductor, Dr Fox believes this is not their first attempt, and thinks they are "a male between the ages of 30 and 45, who has a criminal record, is sophisticated enough to know what law enforcement is going to be looking for, and has committed a series of escalating types of crimes."
She just had the roof done recently, that’s why white roof looks so fresh. Lots of people come for a couple of weeks, maybe cased house. I’m sure they have been talked to.
Maybe the reference to TC is just that he knows, referred the workmen for the roof or other recent work done at the house.

I have to think that, in general, 2 people would be more likely than 1 if a possibly unconscious or disabled Nancy was carried from her house and to a vehicle. If Nancy wasn't walking out herself, but was being carried out, that could explain the blood spatter. Whoever was carrying her out may have taken little care to prevent impacts to her body as she was being removed from the house.

It would be difficult for 1 person to carry her out - she's probably at least 100 pounds, probably more - and then get her into a vehicle. It is possible for 1 strong, likely male individual, but awkward. Doors need to be opened and closed. It could be done, but with 2 people it would much quicker and easier.

I lean against this being a real kidnapping. I think there was some kind of family dispute over money or inheritance, and violence occurred.

It's my opinion that Nancy is no longer alive, and that the kidnapping is some kind of hoax.
the original flyer said 150 pounds

The POTUS has shed more info than LE so far. Of course, he has loose lips while LE is tightlipped as they should be if an arrest is imminent. It is interesting he says this is not a Search operation but a Solution.

(Not sure if TMZ can be linked but these are true statements from Trump on Air Force One)

Pretty sure Tricia has mentioned Aphrodite Jones books on the YouTube channel. She may have been a guest at one time, but I don't remember for sure.
I have read some of her books. She used to have a show on Investigative Disovery.

Why not provide the full details and link? To say something, but not back it up with verification is pointless IMO.
No. It’s not pointless. As a verified insider she is providing information to us. I appreciate it!

Because the family is staying there, the 3 siblings
Didn’t they also return there after the family left? I remember hearing that.

There is no way a family member say in passenger seat helped this frail 84 year old woman who requires a cane to walk in just 120 seconds to unbuckle seat belt, grab her belongings in the car, help walk to garage door leading into home, say good bye to love one, then bolt back to car in order to shut garage door 120 seconds after opening. Does not add up
Yes it is. Assuming a VERY slow "fall risk" pace of 0.6 m/s or 2 ft/second, it would take 10 seconds to walk the depth of a standard 20' deep garage. If they parked another 20 feet from the exterior garage door on a level driveway, that would be 20 seconds total to walk 40' into the house. No one here knows her walking pace (which was likely faster than this example and especially if using an assistive device), nor if she was a fall risk when using the proper assistive device. We don't know if she could sit, turn, come to standing from the car seat then start walking immediately or if she needed do a safety 10 second pause once standing to let her blood pressure adjust. With a ten second pause that's still only 30 seconds to enter the house upon standing. They could have opened the garage door when approaching the house from down the street and it's still very possible.

We only know that she didn't have the endurance to walk long distances, as reported by the family. And surely no family would ever think to downplay her abilities and emphasize her frailties just a little to make the situation seem more serious or urgent.

Unbuckling a seatbelt for someone (if she even needed help with that), grabbing belongings (we don't know she even had) and saying goodnight in the car or while she walks to the door is a few seconds at best.
