Maybe she does, but LE doesn’t want to share that information yet.
That reminds me of the case of Elizabeth Smart. Wealty family. Had alarm system. Recently had "roof work" done. Dad forgets to set alarm this one night. Odd job roofer guy slid in through kitchen windows. Left with Elizabeth.

I’m a little behind and not sure if it’s been discussed as to why NG’s car was towed last night.
I’m thinking LE saw evidence from a license plate reader or security camera not at the home that it was being driven that night. Why and by whom? Those are the questions.
Maybe it was seen on the Circle K cam.

Speaking of the guest house… (I’ve seen it called a “casita”)

Does anyone know if Nancy had had a lodger or rented it out? Was it for actual out of town guests?

And if she is not? I would not want to cater to such horrific evil. Unless i was given solid proof, as in bring her right to a designated spot in person.
If she’s not returned, my hope would be that FBI would find the ransomers and prosecute/ recover the funds. Given that the Guthries likely have much more info than we do..if they believe the ransomers have her, I stand behind the decision to pay.

Things im avoiding in 2026 just to be safe: Family game nights, ubers, roofers, white vans, ring cameras without subscriptions. Did i miss anything?

He may have walked her in the home through the garage, but left out the front door.
And perhaps ripping that front door camera off when he left. And he could return — undetected by that camera at least.

JMO but I really think that it should have been taken on the first search. Or at least kept in a secured crime scene area. But it wasn't. Last night was the 3rd search and seemed to be even more extensive.

If your home is paid for, you have little to no debt, it is worth 1.2 million. You have $500k in CDs, you have a life insurance policy for $1 million, you are worth over 2 million.
do we know she has a million dollar life insurance policy?

MOO, the ransom scenario is bogus, and no money/bitcoin has changed hands. I don’t think it can be seized the way cash or ETF can be. That’s why criminals love it.

In the very very beginning Sheriff said Nancy needed meds in 24 hours to survive. I would like to know how he got that info? Was it relayed by family that way at initial 911 call? Did he surmise that? Why was it said like that? Is there a reason it was said like that? Did they already know about ransom note when this was said?

Also another random thought. Elderly often have paper thin skin and bleed very easily due to blood thinners, etc. So, even a small wound from a scuffle could have caused the bleed. She could have grabbed a vase and tried to smash it on them and cut herself. Who knows. There were some flower looking debris on the front door stooping near the blood.

Right, we have no idea whether it’s legit… the reply was with regard to HYPOTHETICAL question originally posed by AJones.

Has anyone any info on if SIL has access to a white van via their band/Work or AG's Jewellery business? First thing I thought of.

Also see a lot being said about a band mate of SIL having multiple prior convictions has this been discussed here yet?
Since he hasn’t been named as a suspect, I don’t think we can discuss this person. However it is public knowledge that he is a member of the band Early Black, along with Tomasso Cioni.

I think the best course here would be to assume AJ is telling the truth and that she will return later to confirm, or if she misspoke, to clarify.

So assuming it is true, what does the retention of a white van by LE, with our understanding that a neighbor of NG reported a suspicious white van in the neighborhood, suggest?
To me, not a lot. Nothing. I’d have been hearing of white van in news and hidden it if it were mine and I was responsible. I don’t think it’s involved.
