AI informs me that SG's net worth is in the neighborhood of $40 million and she makes at least $8 million a year from NBC.

I hope and pray that a suitable ransom gets paid in the next day or two and Nancy is brought back alive to her family.

I share this opinion someone in the brothers background with military expierence

The focus is on savannahs status but wouldn't a military person be better at avoiding detection
Thank you, its been on my mind the last few days. I didn't want to say anything, the Colonel appears to be a very private man ~ rightfully so.

But... military/former military are capable of a lot; so yes, they would be capable of avoiding detection and tormenting the family with ransom notes etc. EDIT to add: the whack-a-doodles with military training.

But then again, why is there blood at the front door? I get she couldn't probobly couldn't access the front, And as there is blood there the person would haven't have known that and possibly taken her out the front, but then they would have had to unlock the doors. Is there a lock on the outside? Was this door also locked? Would they have had to walk round to unlock it? Where are her house keys? Id have thought they are with the car keys..Id think they would need fingerprinting/dna testing. This bit is a little perplexing!
It's possible they had her keys or had received a copy key from someone and did unlock those doors right after they took the door camera.

It occurred to me that while the garage door opened and closed at least one known set of times, we don't know where NG's car was before that. If we don't assume it was in the garage, but possibly parked in the driveway, that opens up the timeline for it to have gone somewhere or been accessed in her absence, imo.

So I work in this area and odds are (with SG's knowledge/wealth and NG's wealth and age) NG may have a trust, not a will. A will is basic and has to go through probate, a time-consuming, expensive, public process. A trust would manage more assets, do so privately, and can set things up financially for grandkids, charities, etc. People would still be beneciaries and get money when she passed away. It would also manage the money that NG lives on and protect it in case nursing home care is needed, etc. But it would all be managed by a trustee. A trustee can be a family member, friend, or a bank/corporation. How this factors into a financial motive may still be the same as if it were a will. I just wanted to clarify in case it matters!
I also believe it's likely there was a revocable trust, which is the most common type.

I've never followed a case this complex, but I have followed countless cases. In doing so, it's easy for me to gauge where law enforcement is with an investigation.

Not only am I not seeing an indication that they are lost, but I'm seeing the opposite. We're not seeing all the things we usually see when that's the case.

Press conferences have become more sporadic, no regular press releases, and they're not asking for tips about vehicles or persons of interest.

I see a focused homicide case.

Agreed. Also being super careful legally with everything so this has a solid prosecution. IMO

But didn't they say her pacemaker disconnected from app/ Bluetooth like 2:30am which means she was in the home up until that time?
It is my belief that she was in the house at that time because the Sheriff noted when the pacemaker disconnected-unless you really want to go rogue and say that both the watch, and Nancy, were elsewhere and arrived back at the house before 2ish. Watch put in charger and then Nancy left/was removed from the home.

The house is in a revocable trust.

Yes, I have tried to picture a scenario where that 9:48-9:50pm garage door open/close was NG's car arriving home -- perhaps with her as passenger, perhaps not.

So far I'm not coming up with a theory that seems plausible, but who knows.

How far is the next home to hers? Hitting things with rocks or bricks would make a lot of racket, bringing a lot of attention to themselves. They’d really be taking a risk doing that.
I agree. Our home and property situation is similar to NG’s. No other homes in proximity between 0.5-1 acres. The lack of other homes and buildings near us to buffer noise allows us to hear more than many would realize. I do think if the light was busted by suspect it happened late at night.

Another sheer speculation is that NG may have always bragged about her "famous" daughter, SG. I'm sure that she was very excited about SG being part of Winter Olympics' coverage and probably told everyone at church and in the community to make sure and watch! It's natural for any mother to be proud. Perhaps, AG, who felt that she has always physically been there for her mother, never got any credit. Plus, it is very hard being the middle child sandwiched between two successful children. Just trying to speculate on possible family dynamics.

JMO.
Or she could be immensely proud of her sis and telling everyone that she "taught her everything she knows!"
: )

Kind of off topic but I happened to do some work for the mother of a very famous music mogul almost 20 years ago. She had moved back to her hometown for about a year or so. I got the feeling she was either famous or connected to someone famous. But she didn't divulge that information until I point blank asked. All that to say sometimes family members of famous people don't talk about it unless they trust the person they tell.
I just can't figure this all out

What if NG was planning to spend down her estate in some way? Not necessarily changing her will, but thinking about selling the house and moving into a retirement community or something similar? Maybe she had gotten that advice from her doctor or was being hounded by a kid? Maybe even friends who had recently made the move?

My grandparents were in beautiful, upscale continuing care communities. However, the buy-in was several hundreds of thousands of dollars and the monthly fee varied from $4-$10k+. Something like that would be appropriate for someone like Nancy (not saying that she wanted to go!), but would mean that her estate would be significantly smaller when she passed, if there was anything left at all.

Just spitballing because, to me, money as a motive doesn't make sense if someone in the family is the perp. They'd get the estate within the next decade. However, if there wasn't an estate anymore and someone had been counting on that......

Either that or someone needed money much faster than the time it takes to go through settling an estate.

If someone in the family is involved, I think it would be for something like debt or drugs (or both) - they can't exactly start living a super flashy life with their millions in bitcoin while evading suspicion. A hidden expense would explain the desperation behind the crime.

Curious, has this been reported that the house is in a revocable trust (source)? TY

Don’t know if this has been mentioned about the ‘movie quotes’ in SG’s response: sometimes there are family jokes which refer to something one member finds interesting or amusing, phrases from The Godfather, Austin Powers, etc. Could the SOTL quotes be a particular phrase used or enjoyed by a possible POI?

Couple options come to mind:
- an app (I've never seen this but it seems that this is common for newer doors/systems)
- if "family" drove her home in her car after borrowing it, the opener would be in the car
- a keypad (this is what I have - you enter a code to open the door and then close it using the button inside)
- "family" who drove her home had their own opener

I think the app or keypad is most likely, IMO, since she would have needed to close the garage door on her way out to the uber if she left that way.

In one of the videos/live streams of them searching the house one of the agents stands at the left side of the garage door and appears to enter a code at the height of where a keypad would be and the door shuts behind him. I’m assuming that is how family/NG would enter the garage when not in her vehicle with opener. I’ll try to go back and find it. Might take me a bit.
