There is no proof of kidnapping, much less that this person committed the kidnapping.

To us outsiders maybe, but we have no idea what has been going on with the inside of their circle.

The two pilots recently transferred out; I need to find that article that states one was transferred due to a disciplinary action and the second opted to leave on their own.

Yes, it became high-profile because of SG. Would it make us feel differently on hearing that another elderly person was kidnapped in Wisconsin? No. And I hope newspapers would have the decency of keeping us posted about any old person who was abducted from own house at night.

Also, human sympathy for the children who highly likely, it seems, have lost their only parent, the mom, and in such horrible circumstances, is fully understood and expected.



It is not about Christianity, it is about different cultural traditions. Atheists use this term as well as Protestants. Catholics and Eastern Orthodox mostly do not. In essence, it describes less ritualistic form of the funerals. As funerals tend to become such, maybe the term will spread. (It is not commonly used in Europe). But yes, this is how I understood SG's phrase: that they would need the body for the funerals.

However, I don't know whom SG is addressing, and whoever scripted the text. It has to be explained as the term might be misinterpreted. Likely SG knows that she is addressing Episcopalian Americans. This is how I interpret it.

If not, the term may be totally misunderstood, btw.

My comment was not to post my lack of empathy for the Guthrie families suffering (it is tremendous), but to suggest that the abduction of NG seemed strategically planned regarding the attention it would garner world wide vs a suggested Jane Doe in Wisconsin. <modsnip>

This is disturbing. There are many wealthy single elderly women living alone in the area. Few have security.

In many countries, kidnapping for ransom is pretty common. Not so much in the United States. I hope that this is not going to be a trend. There are a lot of soft targets in the area.

Again, you do not pay someone who will not give you proof of life. That's a key requirement in any negotiation.

Imagine you are any other celebrity with an exposed family member…. If they pay this ransom it may become open-season on relatives. I would be very concerned.

Former CIA and FBI agent opined that the tone this time (the new video released at 4:30 today) is more defeated, includes coded language and may even be negotiating for the return of a body at this point.

I also find the wording very odd and coded and specific...

Just another consideration based on this, its a bit out there but none of us know what has happened so thought I'd just add some other thoughts I've had:

Savannah has gone on to have a very successful career in journalism - she returned to Arizona for the very recent story about her Mum, which clearly showed how very loved and valued her Mum was to her, how close their relationship is.

Did this trigger something in someone who was associated or linked with Savannah when she was living and working in Arizona? Long held jealousy, envy, etc. Maybe someone who wanted her fame but is still working in the Arizona area and doesn't feel they had the same opportunities or rewards that Savannah is now enjoying in her career?

Can you get good fingerprints off of a rck?

I don't think so at all. My office where I worked had a rock thrown through the window, it landed on my desk. (not opened yet) I did NOT touch the rock. I called the cops. I proudly pointed to the rock and said I did not touch it so you can do fingerprints. Well, he barely could hold back his guffaw. Said all the nooks and crannies would not make it useful for fingerprints. Would have to be a flat surface pretty much. So now I know. So hopefully some prints can be found on anything LE dusts for and I'm sure it's the garage and inside and outside. Just hoping, not gloves, but hope for DNA. I am sure the monster will be found due to their intense work. IMO

Yes. I have been involved with a study and even if death, the pacemaker will still sync.

If she was killed in the house and still within 30fr of the watch, it would have shown flatline data and they woukd have concluded early on she was dead. Its my understanding they had active heart data until she moved away from watch and phone etc. Thats why they think she left alive

This suggests to me that whoever removed NG from her home was aware of her pacemaker.

And purposefully did not want her pacemaker to report her death.
