Metal detectors looking for Apple watch or pacemaker? JMO
The Apple Watch was found in the home.

“To authenticate something, they have to show that they know something everybody else wouldn’t,” he said. “And as far as we can tell, there has been no report out on the placement of that watch, where it was found. And so it would be something that would be held close to the vest.”

I don't even know why this keeps coming up. It's been eye-opening in a way to see how many treat the elderly as totally lacking independence and autonomy. Jmo.
I don't understand why this Uber trip keeps coming up either. If it really ends up being AG and/or TC who did this terrible thing, NG was safer with the Uber driver than she was the for the remainder of the evening.

It didn't dawn on me that just because my area has a BOP facility nearby not everyone else does lol
I wouldn’t have known it worked like that until the FBI arrested our local sheriff on federal charges and i was surprised that he was held in the county jail of a neighboring county - guess they didn’t want to put him in his own county jail. Turns out the feds pay the county jails to house these defendants and if they are convicted at trial then they go to a federal prison because after conviction it doesn’t matter how far away they have to go but before and during trial they like to keep them close for going to and from court and for meeting with their lawyers and such.

Does Luminol react to other things, like perhaps pet urine?
Luminol *can* react to some other things and urine & saliva are on that list, though it's not a common reaction & usually not as bold as its reaction with blood. It can react to cleaners as well. Basically - Luminol reacts with enzymes & metals & different materials/matter can glow, but it all often looks different. Bleach will often BLAST a bright glow, blood is usually just a solid decent glow. Often the patterns of the Luminol reaction are what give a good clue about what happened (ex: giant "puddle" shape or a floor covered in "wiping" patterns). It's not fool proof by any means. It's just another tool that can be used upon suspicion.

They need to document that luminol testing showed no indication of blood. If they don't, the veracity, competence, and thoroughness of investigators can be questioned in cross-examination. Documenting the lack of results is necessary.
thank you so much

Is there a lot of coverage on this case in your country?
Not sure if he is in England but we have a lot of coverage in the Mail for sure.

Our vacation/lake house had a septic tank...that's too big an opening for septic. And the tanks are usually close to the house with the field drains going outward, downhill and away.
My septic tank cover is 150 feet away from the house. Not every scenario is the same, many factors vary. Though it is unusual by me to have large openings (they are usually 10-12 inch access panels here by code) apparently in other places it's different. Generalizations don't work well for this.

That’s how it is here too

Because the ransom note author demanded $6 million or else.
And Savannah's considerable personal finances are well known and a potential motive.
And the SIL/BIL may have been having financial troubles, which can lead to arguments/emotionally charged situations.
And kidnappings for ransom revolve around money.
And murders often happen over money.

From what I’ve heard it was only sheriff not FBI searching AG’s house last night.. it’s strange to me that it would be Pima co. and not the FBI searching.
If a murder charge was filed it would be in the local jurisdiction. Kidnapping would be a federal case.

I am sorry @academyrd .... I had read your post totally wrong

Early on, there was lots of back and forth about how/why she was missed, so as to alarm someone in the church, because she would zoom in to those services.

I believe most of us were feeling that this was totally credible....
We had Zoom services in my church during Covid, and we, in the Church, could always look at the Zoom screen to see who was "dialing in".

But you seem to be questioning the WHY the family would bother to check in on NG. I believe the following answers that question.

I thought we read that LE had questioned the Church person and determined she made two calls:
1)Nancy's phone and then
2)Family's phone
I don't think there has been any confirmation of the church person or that those calls had even existed.
- The Sheriff initially referenced that someone from church had called the family, the family went to the house to check on Nancy, spent about an hour there before calling 911.
- Then reports came out that the church itself had said Nancy had only attended online services since COVID on a livestream where you can't really tell who is watching or not. The sheriff at the next press conference made no mention of anyone from church calling. He said only that the family went to check on Nancy, and suddenly the time was at 11:56am and they called 911 at 12:03pm.
So conflicting info, but I don't think we have ever gotten a clear answer.

Because money is one of the main motives in many murders and most kidnappings for ransom?

(it is also the number one reason given for divorce and family acrimony)
Yes. And also that this family has the ability come up with a large amount on the fly, where not everyone has easy access to 6 million dollars or whatever the demanded amount is.

The filing date stands out to me, only because it's the year her husband, Charles, died.

"June 10, 1988, at age 46 while on a work trip in Mexico."
I thought I read that SG’s dad was a mining engineer?

Thank you - as much as I’ve tried staying up to date on developments I somehow missed this.

Two sheriff vehicles are at a neighbor’s house. They knocked on the door, but no one opened. The neighbor’s house is at the top of the road behind Nancy’s house not AG’s.
Do you think they want consent to search their properties in case suspect used them?

I have no confidence that the septic tanks or cisterns in the yard can be adequately evaluated by a deputy with a pole. These need to be drained and a camera sent down!!!

LOL. They'll know how we feel when they GET there!
