We received your message and we understand. First words in Savanah's plea, especially , We understand.
Any idea what this could mean ? I've been wracking my brains on this !
What could anyone understand in all this ?
Anyone ?
I take it to mean we understand what we have to do to comply with your demands
Just my opinion

everyone will have their own take on it. Personally I think it means that there was an additional message that informed them she is not alive.
I'm kind of thinking too, there had to be some additional info . SG looks totally defeated😭

That’s my interpretation too. Particularly because she said ‘that is the only way WE will have PEACE’. If you are hoping your loved one is coming home (alive) then peace isn’t quite the word you’d use. It is also prioritising the siblings feelings and needs not the moms.

My theory and opinion only….Is that there was a call to AG Sunday morning. The caller may have mentioned NG missing from church services or not mentioned it. I imagine the call was rather short, say under 5 minutes. I’m also imagining the call came from maybe a burner phone and was unverifiable by LE at that time and may still be? I think there was definitely a call and that’s why it was originally mentioned by the sheriff. I think this “probable” phone call is very important to how this all played out on Sunday morning at 11:56am.
This story says there was a call at approximately 11a.m.

Did they go in person or send an Uber to check?
I'm not sure what you mean? Are you asking if the family member took an Uber to Nancy's house on Sunday?

I'm sure she has to be very careful and is being guided by LE , FBI .. on what she can reveal , after all that news station is the one getting the most vital communication from the perp(s). I would not want to be her. She just can't tell us what she thinks or feels in regards to the emails. I think she's being very professional , she has to be !
Yeah she is being porofessional I guess , but does she have to come on at all?
Be safe say nothing, When you have so many people hanging on to every word you say to get info, its a tease to say “ i know a lot but i cant tell you” just dont say anything at all. maybe its just my pet peeve.

Hello! First time posting so please excuse any mistakes I make. I’m confused by the bloodstains on the porch. From what I saw it looked like the blood droplets were going toward the door and then spatter to the side of the door. If they were exiting through the front door it would seem difficult to open and close both doors while also taking a bloodied NG with you. Could she have been going toward the door instead and was stopped by someone? Admittedly I have no idea how blood spatter works I just think with my own doors how difficult it would be to exit through them and leave a mark like that. Although I guess the blood would be smeared had she been moving towards it. Again, sorry it’s just been bugging me all day and I’m overwhelmed with so much information and I’m just confused.
Welcome new member!! A quick tour: Bloodstain on porch convos are on aisle 1, church lady call not in report anymore aisle 2, flashing lights in sil garage aisle 3, white van aisle 4, ring camera aisle 5, septic tank aisle 6, uber vs ride home aisle 7, tumbleweed on front porch aisle 8, apple watch, pacemaker aisle 9 and security cameras aisle 10.
Happy sleuthing!

When my mom's church was virtual during covid, on youtube as I recall, people chatted in the comments before and after the service. That might have been a regular thing for Mrs. Guthrie too.
My congregation is in-person and still online, and there is a lot of messaging/chatting among the streamers. I've watched it when I'm home sick, and there's a crowd of usuals who are always on. I suspect there's probably a group of women who enjoy each other's company and chat, and someone noticed Nancy wasn't online like usual.

Just speculating here. In the siblings' first video to the "kidnappers" SG bluntly stated they needed proof their mother was still alive. I assume the second message was in response to that video. According to the news anchors that saw the second message it did not contain proof of life. My speculation is that the "kidnappers" responded they could not prove life. SG then says, "We understand."

The anchors also stated there were no demands in the second message so the, "We understand" was apparently not in response to any demands. I think SG knows her mother is gone (one way or another) and is asking for her remains.

Speculation and opinion.
It was reported that the first letter said that NG was "scared but safe". Under the theory that she died, did they lie in that letter? Or did she pass away in the few days after the first letter? JMO

I wonder if NG dates or has any male friends she spends time with?

Back to the second half of the SB
Please
No more conjecture about SG coming up w/$6 mil
She can do it with a snap of her fingers
Any delay is LE trying to figure out how to hack into bitcoin or digital currency underground

Odd coincidence. On February 4,1974, 19-year-old heiress Patty Hearst was kidnapped from her Berkeley, California apartment by the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). They initially demanded 2MIO and then 4MIO more..That would be 6MIO .They did demanded the 6MIO of dollars to be provided in food to CA residents.

We know how it’s all ended. However, it’s also caused a huge media frenzy. The media extensively covered the unfolding drama, including the tapes released by the SLA and Hearst’s subsequent radicalization. Legal battles about book/movie rights later followed.

While I do not expect the societal rifts in the NG case or any food distribution, I can see a similar media frenzy ensuing during which some of the bigger TV stations may be offering big money for future licensing fees (interviews, videos, photographs etc.).

Thoughts?

Prayers for Mrs Guthrie,
Nin

Interesting. Because I thought it was weird. I find that incredibly enmeshed, that a friend at church would call a daughter about her mother? I would absolutely think nothing about someone missing church.

Of course, the gal who checked on her friend, for not answering her phone, caught Chris Watts, completely off guard. He had no clue police would be at his house the day he killed his wife, Shannon Watts, and two daughters.
Yes, well, Nickole Atkinson had made definite plans with Shanann and was supposed to go to a doctors appointment with her.

Unless Nancy had plans to meet someone at church, I agree, it’s enmeshed.

Anyway, maybe I’m hyper focused on this because there’s nothing new happening.

Now wait a second right there sister
You don't believe Tonya when she says she had nothing to do with it?
Nice comic relief. Well done!

Apols if this has been raised (I’m sure it has). Surely other houses on that road have smart door bells. Have LE not yet released the car seen driving in the area at 2:30am ish, when I presume the roads would otherwise be very quiet?

Just thinking about the ransom letter submitted via tip line - if an actual kidnapper for ransom (who would have to plan for kidnapping plus where to hold the kidnapped person - needs planning) really thought through the ransom process, and was savvy enough to:
(1) send “letter” via tip line such that it’s not traceable via mail/no trace DNA or fingerprints on it/no handwriting to possibly match…
(2) demand payment in bitcoin and set up an untraceable wallet (?) to receive the payment, such that there’s no meeting somewhere to hand off ransom money, no marked bills…

Ok, we all know from books and movies - you will need the proof of life part. And if you planned well with those first two things, you should have had an equally savvy idea for providing proof of life (even if it’s an AI fake or whatever)

I feel like the total lack of a plan for showing the inevitably requested proof of life is inconsistent with the creative tactics to send the random note and get the money pretty safely.

Combining that bizarre oversight with the bizarre delay in even getting a ransom note delivered, I’m not sure but it makes me more skeptical that the ransom note sender is real… (although that bothers me too because authorities seem pretty sure.)

Anyway, lack of any planning or effort (real or fake) regarding the obvious proof of life requirement makes me wonder about the whole ransom request.

And If they were not the kidnapper, and its a hoaxer, the two tip line messages and setting up a bitcoin wallet didn’t take much effort or time, lots of weirdos could have done it?

This makes me think AG and SIL are in the clear possibly. If they were involved, would they go and check so quickly? And the short time period before calling 911 seems pretty precise in terms of checking the house, noticing something is up, and quickly calling 911. I wonder what the 911 call documents.

Edit: If they were called at 11AM, and we assume they have maybe a 5-10 minute conversation on the phone, how long would it take for them to drive to NG's home? This might be academic anyway as we don't know where AG and SIL were beforehand, we can't necessarily assume they were at their home 4 miles away.
From the time the camera went off and her pacemaker disconnected was 41 minutes. Who ever was there had knowledge that the police where not called. I believe its some one that is family or in her circle.

I had a question about the friend who called AG to say NG was not at church 1/31, and couldn’t reach her.

The church looks huge, so I take it, if Nancy goes in person, she sits in the same place, with friends every week. Perhaps, they even checked in the day before, and she said she would be there for church, and maybe lunch after?

It’s not like work or school where you are really expected to be there, with church, it’s a voluntary attendance.

I do think it’s a little strange the church friend called Nancy immediately after missing church. What an accountability group! The speed of the friend’s call makes me wonder a bit, just seems off to me.

JMO
It seems off.
