The ransom demand is said to be $6 million, and for that kind of money the employer will want to be notified ahead of time I assume. Of course this case has national intense coverage.

But the amount demanded could be even higher than $6 million.

Perhaps the FBI checking out the kidnapper note is the cause of the delay in paying the ransom.
Do people actually think they will inform the media and public when a ransom is paid? I don't.

I'd love to know what Brian has shared here. The link doesn't work for me, I assume because I don't have Twitter. Is it an article or a video?
here is the exact segment on youtube

Perhaps it has something to do with the exchange rate of bitcoin? Or rules and regulations about bitcoin? IDK, someone with knowledge about that end of things would have to chime it.

Someone else here suggested SG's employer might have death/kidnap insurance on their TV celebrities. Maybe the extortionists did their homework and it is tied into that somehow.

Or they know SG's cash liquidity.

IDK just guessing.

SG is wealthy for sure, but not super rich. If she is worth $40 million, $10 million is a big chunk of her wealth. Maybe they thought $6 million was more apt to be paid.
Hackers have already used AI to steal information from one of the tax filing services. It might not be long before criminals know all of our financials. One of the Shark Tank guys said this is a good thing, which I don't understand. This NG ransom demand might be the just tip of an iceberg on the horizon.

I guess the idea is to at least for LE to drive there and check if NG is there?
Ah ok. But the property is likely under the control of somebody right, even a sales agent?

I forgot to mention this the other day, but I noticed on Google Maps that AG's address appeared blurred out on Google Maps. At least, the address I found publicly online. I wasn't sure if it was the exact same house though; I tried to match it against the photos of the house, but I'm not 100%.
The neighbor's house is blocked out on Google Maps. 5800.

Hello! First time posting so please excuse any mistakes I make. I’m confused by the bloodstains on the porch. From what I saw it looked like the blood droplets were going toward the door and then spatter to the side of the door. If they were exiting through the front door it would seem difficult to open and close both doors while also taking a bloodied NG with you. Could she have been going toward the door instead and was stopped by someone? Admittedly I have no idea how blood spatter works I just think with my own doors how difficult it would be to exit through them and leave a mark like that. Although I guess the blood would be smeared had she been moving towards it. Again, sorry it’s just been bugging me all day and I’m overwhelmed with so much information and I’m just confused.
Welcome to WS, @NonnaBalogna! :)

Just fyi putting on my cyber hat here. If kidnappers hopped through multiple vpn overseas in countries that are not friendly with US or have complex privacy laws, they can hide there pretty well. There are no international standards for cyber crime tracking at all. Just fyi. There's no international body that oversees. So, thats likely the holdup on tracking the email origin.

So, my Mom used to live near me. She is also elderly and doesn't always answer her phone. I've brushed it off as maybe she was grocery shopping, or outside gardening, or at a neighbor's house, etc. I then would call several more times. About 30 to 45 mins of not being able to get ahold of her, only then would I drive to her house. AG and TC have 2 kids and lives of their own. They also likely couldn't just drop everything ASAP to rush over the moment after they got the call.
Agree and I would do absolutely the same with my mom. My theory is based on what my initial steps would be after a phone call alerting me. I’m assuming that there were several calls from AG’s phone to NG’s with no answer before they headed over to NG’s at 11:56. I assume, because that seems very natural and expected.

I'd expect that a concerned person from church would first try to contact NG before contacting NG's relatives. Maybe LE has the same expectation & failed to find evidence of such a contact on NG's phone.
My thoughts as well. If I had talked to my friend who said she would see me at church on Sunday and she no showed, I would be concerned. Especially if she had always been a punctual responsible friend and was not in good health.

I would call her a couple of times, and if I got no answer, I would call her daughter.
So yes LE should have a record of the friend calling NG and getting no answer?

Can you just say what, specifically, should be brought to attention... ??
I think they are saying there is a nearby property that was sold a year prior and may be vacant. Another poster suggested this might imply NG is being held there.

I could see this being like a Kohberger or Tepe murders situation, where LE is aware of a suspect and keeping it close to their chest to not alert them ... but this situation is different because it's a medically fragile 84 y/o woman, who may still be alive, and each day that passes makes the situation seem more grim. 😞

"Building a case and taking their time" just seems so much more dire when the victim could still be alive. I just hope they know more than they're letting on, and I hope there's a chance she's still alive.

Just my opinion, it's kinda creepy to join NG's church service, even if only virtually... Let these people have whatever normalcy they can without outsiders eavesdropping. Surely if anything truly important happens there, we'll hear about it quickly.

Well the public was informed recently that the ransom had not been paid. But would be paid at some point. So we are getting information. I think payment should be kept quiet?
