Anything is possible, but the LE concentration on them is typical of not being able to rule them out. That suggests digital footprints and alibi aren't readily available for either of them.

Couple that with some of the financial entanglements they have with NG and it begins to look like motive.
Do we know of any financial entanglements?

I hope there is some resolution. I hope Nancy is found, I hope someone is charged, and I hope the family does not remain in limbo for a long period of time. I see that the FBI spoke specifically about the kidnaping/ransom aspect-if they do not believe that occurred, are they out? Is there some other department that can continue to investigate? Does the state or county have investigative teams that could assist the local Sheriff?
As far as I am aware even just faking a kidnapping or ransom demand is a federal crime so the FBI would remain involved until that's resolved.

John Miller, CNN:

"We're in the dark, but on details like that we probably should be."

Says we don't know contents of second letter, and if it had another Bitcoin address. Also says we don't know if they communicated some other way."

"No such thing as a real deadline for someone interested in a $6 million ransom." Basically suggests that most kidnappers would rather wait, as opposed to getting nothing, as well as a murder charge in addition to that.

Yes, I get the feeling that she has maybe accepted that mother may no longer be alive, but still holds out hope that she may still be alive. Such a sad, sad situation to have to go through.
SG's sorrow seems very genuine.
Hope she has answers soon, wherever that may lead ?
Imo.

More police activity at the Guthrie houses tonight, into tomorrow.

Interesting that the activity will begin tonight. Why didn’t it begin earlier today, when it was light out, or wait until tomorrow, when it is light out? Developments happening? Something actually easier to see in the dark vs. daylight? Rhetorical question of course, just curious to me.

The FBI is not aware of any continued communication between the Guthrie family and suspected kidnappers, nor have we identified a suspect or person of interest in this case at this time

@FBI

Harvey Levin TMZ not aware of any bitcoin deposit made.
SG new plea shift to public.
Pima County Police says they're exploring new leads.
And Harvey Levin says he’s checking constantly. Bitcoin account is visible and still at $0. He did make a valid point, imo, why would SG make an appeal to public for help if she had already paid? Might she be asking for signs of her mom after or before being released? (My speculation on that point.)

Doubtful anyone comes here to read and/or comment because they think these cases are like a game of clue ?
We are discussing any and every possibility which might shed some light on the methods of the perp and which could lead to a break in Nancy's case.
WS is not like you have described it, a social media free for all, but is helmed by hard working people who help keep it factual and within the guidelines.
No one has been bashing, not sure where you're seeing that ?

Rather we're discussing within the guidelines about how this frail and elderly woman was possibly taken from her own bed and home.
There are multitudes of members here, who have contributed greatly to our understanding of the cases and the methods used by law enforcement for solving them.
That same law enforcement have cleared no one and as such it's permitted to discuss possibilities.

These cases and others are never a 'clue game' for most-- if not all -- of us .
Some of them painfully linger long after the perps are sentenced, like this older case from about 2018 in the Daily Mail which still hurts as justice was not as harsh as (imo) should've been ?

We can speculate about the sister AG and brother in law, TC, using their initials only.
All questions seem to lead to a closer circle around Nancy than a random perp.
Still many unanswered questions.

IF LE say the family is cleared that's great and the focus can be on possible employees or someone known to Nancy or the family in general.
The perp had inner knowledge of the cameras and took time to remove some or at least the SD cards in others.
They had more knowledge than a random burglar, imo.

At the end of the say, all we want to do is to solve this case and if Nancy is alive, to get her back home, and I'm sure you would agree ?
The rest can be worked out later.
Omo.
Well-said. Thank you for speaking for so many of us who are here because we want to contribute toward helping NG come home or toward a resolution in this case where the suspects are able to be convicted. We are here with our many different areas of expertise in order to help solve this case as well as other cases.

I feel so far that political is the only thing it genuinely can't be. Groups or people that do this kind of thing for political reasons want people to know while the media are still interested.

So far no mention has been made of either ransom communication being political in nature.

But what if the message had been rec'd loud and clear 🤔 the ransom was just to buy time. The plan isnt to end her life...it was just to send a clear message...let's see her returned safe!!!!

I fear this case has been botched from the get go.

The State Police should have been brought in IMMEDIATELY to help with this case. This tiny agency is not equipped.

Both Nancy’s AND Annie’s properties should have been sealed off as crime scenes. NO MATTER WHAT. Those were the last supposed places Nancy was seen alive. All vehicles should have been seized.

Then ALL the family members should have been dragged down to the police station and DRILLED. Questioned. Proved their timeline by providing corroborating evidence. Taken polygraphs, etc.

All electronic devices should have been seized.

All vehicles should have been seized.

And should have been done for purposes of elimination. Eliminate the family first. Then work out.

This is LE 101

These “statements” about driving Nancy home, at what time, by whom, and what exactly happened at the drop off don’t make any sense. Was it just the SIL? Was it Annie & the SIL? How does an 85yo woman with SERIOUS physical limitations get into her garage in 2 minutes? There should be history on that remote opener to show the average time it takes her. 2 minutes just seems way too short.

Crime scene experts should have gone over BOTH properties with a fine toothed comb. As well as all vehicles. These were places that Nancy was confirmed to be.

That first critical 48hr window has been lost here because of sloppy police work. And the delay of reporting Nancy’s disappearance.

We are now into the 2nd week and they are just now checking Annie’s house with Luminol. After the family has continued living there? And possibly doing a clean up??

They just discovered there was a camera on the roof of Nancy’s house. What else did they miss?

We have a supposed ransom demand that has not been confirmed legitimate.

My questions are these:

1. Why haven’t the family members been eliminated as suspects?

2. Why can’t they confirm the legitimacy of this ransom demand?

3. Why do they keep going back and doing basic things that should have been done on day 1 or day 2?

4. And WHY would the Sheriff go to a basketball game with a case like this going on so early in an investigation? Normally a case is worked by all involved without sleep for days. They’re not going to events. This is a very bad look.

This is heading for a catastrophic conclusion. In more ways than one.

It is so incredibly difficult for public, family and friends when crimes go awry.
When some family IS CLEARED and other friends or family definitely are not.

When the Sheriff ( who we all place so much hope and help in) allows bad to happen… it makes the situation untenable.

We- - Believe that most heinous crimes are solved and there are more good people than bad. Good over evil. Love and justice always win in the end. Keep the faith. Good cops will solve. 💔❤️‍🩹

Interesting because, as you said, they made a choice and believed it was best to do their work when it was dark. MO

Has anyone asked in the online gaming community, what they might know? Sounds like an out there idea, but you'd be surprised how often they know stuff, from around the world, and it hits the regular news days, weeks later... Also, a vast majority of them are into and understand crypto, bitcoin and, well, shall we say "methods" on anonymity, encryption, etc. fwiw, a lot of the world's intelligence communities recruit from there, identifying bright youth and helping develop them for later potential. MOO.
I think this is a good idea, especially regarding the crypto and anonymity aspects. Maybe someone asked a gaming person about technical aspects...

I hope that someone who is familiar with that world can post some things there -- maybe SG's latest video plus what number to contact....

Can anyone remember which YT host was recently discussing the brief publication of some ransom letter details in a video by the local Tucson station (KOLD, I believe)? The Tuscan station’s video was deleted. It had revealed the bigger ransom amount ($6m) but also that the salutation used was “Dear Savannah,” which does seem significant.

Does this ring a bell? I watched it in the last day or two but have forgotten where.

So follow up on new leads…fingers crossed this pans out. Are they doing it at nite so it is harder to observe what they are doing? Wild thought maybe ransom was paid and NG is going to be returned tonight close to home or sadder thought they know where to look for a body now and it is close to her home.

Excellent post!
This sheriff's office appears woefully deficient in investigative talent.
Poor Nancy.
And where's the FBI??
It's looking more and more like a cold case that we might still be commenting on ten years from now.
I agree that the Pima County Sheriff's Office is inept at investigations. Hopefully, the FBI will help solve this horrible crime. It would be terrible to see this case go cold.

This whole public monitoring of the bitcoin account is a bit insane to me. Assuming it's a real ransom letter from the culprit, do you really want to highlight how many people are monitoring this account? Yes, even if it's anonymous, the culprit still wants to "get away" unidentified. It seems irresponsible to report on it. Like how many people know this account number at this point. I feel like the media should have kept that part to themselves. jmo.

Maybe because the 5pm deadline has passed.

Hmmm...I was replying to a poster who described how some churches track attendance. Somehow their post didn't carry over to mine. Nevertheless...
Thank you for your insight.
