Could you please provide a source from the investigation that clearly states the doorbell camera was a Nest? I am having difficulty finding that.
As far as I know, it’s not a source from the official investigators, but from knowledgeable WS users of Nest. @HoveringWombats’ post and pic was very convincing:

Did AG/SIL go to the same church as NG, and did they attend virtual services? Were they the ones who noticed she was not there?

Its standard for FBI involved in a murder case? In my experience that's simply not true. The kidnapping case, yes - but murder? No.
In my recent experience FBI field offices were helping our local law enforcement in a murder case I had the unfortunate experience of being … adjacent to….so I think they just asked? Granted turns out the suspect crossed state lines but I’m sure that took some time to prove.

I'd say 75% of the countless murder cases I've followed on here have involved the FBI in some capacity.
Most likely because if the case is making national news it may involve aggravating circumstances such as the person being transported across state lines. In my LE experience, the FBI was only involved in one (out of about 115) homicides while I worked there. That one involved someone taken across the state line and murdered

I respectfully disagree as of now. LE folks (any of the agencies) do not owe public play by play in an investigation. I’m sure it feels like eons to public, but they have a lot to go through. In reality, a week and a half is not a long time in a criminal investigation. I do not believe this will become a cold case. Having every media outlet and you tuber try to get social media attention is making it seem like more information should be out by now. LE owes it to the public if they feel like the public is more unsafe than they already were because of lack of an arrest yet. Otherwise, I actually wish media would leave this case alone for a bit to give LE a chance to do what they need to do to nab the right person/people. Moo
I’m not expecting a play by play. I am expecting them to do a thorough job investigating the homes Nancy was last known to be alive. I don’t expect them to allow family to continue living in these properties, compromising a possible crime scene. Or worse, alternating a crime scene by cleaning up. I’d expect them to seize the vehicles Nancy was in. Not allow family members to keep possession.

No. A week or two isn’t long in a normal investigation. But the life of an 85yo fragile woman hangs in the balance here. They should have done the basic investigating FIRST. Cleared the family. Then branched out.

If she knew the robber robber would be my only guess for this scenario. "Hey aren't you that kid who works at the Mexican Restaurant?"
Yes, except why take Nancy, alive or deceased ?
That just seems so personal, imo.

Pima County just said: "activity at the Guthrie residences will continue tonight and into tomorrow as part of the ongoing investigative process, including the expansion of the search and follow-up on leads.” Plural, residences. Means daughter and SIL's residence. There is a reason that this is at least a third time they are doing a search there. I still believe SIL is involved. I do think could be some evidence he is involved, but LE really needs a body before making an arrest. Many of us follow true crime and the one thing LE is always adamant: it is much better to get a conviction with a body. A body gives cause of death, which may lead to finding a murder weapon. Also, if LE jumps the gun to make an arrest, the perpetrator will lawyer up and LE will never be able to question them again. I'm sure LE is just hoping to get more evidence where Nancy could be as well as hoping perpetrator will slip up and reveal something. I think we all are watching the tv and think there should be an arrest by now, but, in reality, cases like this are rarely solved quickly. Throwing in the ransom messages, and the national media because of Savannah, this is a rare case.

So if the authorities don't know, then there was no communication.

...or they are just saying they don't know as a 'best answer' for the case. They don't have to tell it how it is...

In that case the only way her friend would see her would be in the video chat. Which is really strange for someone to notice and be worried about NG not being in the chat.
Someone up thread posited that she may have watched the live stream at some other location with the supposed person who called AG. If this is true, it would be wonderful for that person to come forward.

So follow up on new leads…fingers crossed this pans out. Are they doing it at nite so it is harder to observe what they are doing? Wild thought maybe ransom was paid and NG is going to be returned tonight close to home or sadder thought they know where to look for a body now and it is close to her home.
Let us hang onto those words. They are following NEW leads. That means there still is hope. Prayer and hope for justice for NG. No 84 year old should ever have to go thru this horrible situation and no family should ever have to endure the pain this family is enduring. God Bless this family and God Bless NG.

All great points. ^^^

Nothing was done that should have been done, until it was far too late.

There are many questions that seem to keep being asked and not answered :
  • What happened at that dinner and game night ?
  • Who was there outside of family ?
  • Who drove Nancy home ?
  • Or did they actually drive her home at all ?
  • Did Nancy leave AG's house at all, because there's no proof she walked into her house that night.
All we have is people's words for this, which can be fallible.
Omo.
Questions 4&5 of this keep getting me. I feel like this could be a key. Thinking we “know” that these happened but haven’t heard them for fact.

Can anyone explain why Fox News isn’t a credible source and AB is? Don’t give me some garbage about the 2020 election either.

Bbm.
Still waiting on that.
One would assume they'd all be cleared by now ?
Imo.

Worth watching this:

The claim here (from the Daily Mail via Megyn Kelly) is that NG was due to meet with friends (not sure if online or in person) to watch the church service online.
