AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

I just don't find this suspicious. We're hearing church friend, but this could have been a long time friend of Nancy's that she saw frequently. If they always watched this live stream at the same time and chatted (text or online) the disappearance was noted. Probably not a huge deal, but then Nancy didn't answer any of her attempts to communicate. Maybe she's not feeling well and sleeping? So she texts Annie and probably says something like "I hope your mom is feeling okay, I didn't hear from her this morning." Annie starts texting/calling and doesn't get an answer so she heads over. This exact scenario has happened in my family (hearing aid was out, no kidnapping) and nothing about it seemed odd to me. Whatever Annie found was so alarming that she called 911 within 6 minutes.

All speculation, of course.
Exactly what I’ve been thinking, but you did a much better job articulating. Whether Annie knew the church friend who called or not it would have been an alert to me to check on my mom.

I doubt he even knows

Is anyone else still curious about what Donald Trump meant by his comments on day 6 of the search (Friday)? For context, Trump told reporters he had received new information on the case through federal law enforcement and the FBI.

Part of what he stated:

“A lot’s taken place in the last couple of hours. A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.”

I wonder what he is talking about?
When the press was asking more about getting new info in the investigation, he said:

“I think we’re doing very well in that regard. You’re probably surprised to hear that,” Trump said. “I think we’re doing very well, meaning we have some clues, I think that are very strong and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon.”

Then when asked whether the search for Nancy Guthrie would expand nationwide, Trump explained that he was focused on solving the case. He said:

“I’m not talking about a search, I’m talking about a solution,” he said. “We have some things that I think that we’ll maybe come out reasonably soon from DOJ or FBI or whoever that could be definitive.”

Soooooooo, yeah.... What solution?????

Good point. Also thinking of my own parents, I don’t think any of their friends have my phone number, and I don’t have theirs. So I’m surprised that a church friend would have any Nancy’s children’s numbers handy to call them.

As others have mentioned it could be that this is a real close friend and NG may have said that she would see her in the morning (virtual and/or in person).

No. Not the least bit curious.

Can someone tell me WHICH Circle K provided the surveillance video? MSM consistently reports it is one on Oracle Road. As a 40+ year Tucson resident I struggled to remember one on Oracle. A quick google maps check did not find one either. There are a few close to Oracle though.
Circle K 5801 N Oracle near Las Lomitas. It is one minute from AG house. It was NOT near NG house.

When it happens, it’s almost always criminal elements kidnapping other criminals.

I have never seen a true kidnapping for ransom in my life, and I still don’t believe I have.

I think this is an evil hoax.
I was pleased to see that you agree with me on this opinion. I know you've followed cases long enough to have an educated opinion about this!!
My thoughts from the beginning of the case are that we can't possibly believe that someone is going to kidnap an immobile 84 year old woman, leave her blood on the front porch, and then hold her hostage (clearly injured and without her medication), and then write ransom notes to the media. None of that is plausible. I am in the group that believes that the ransom is "an evil hoax" that is serving as an aside/distraction to the loss of her life on the first night. I hope I am wrong with that last part.

Emphasis mine.
If a person is innocent, the best action they can take is to stand with law enforcement maybe at a presser and beg for the missing person.
If that's not forthcoming (police wanting to give a press conf.); perhaps spend all of your time cooperating to make sure LE can clear you and then you can move on ?
Not saying he didn't cooperate.

Maybe LE aren't satisfied with the answers or information they're receiving, and if someone is truly innocent that's not going to make them want to be seen anywhere in public.
Being in absentia is not helpful.
Unless he's busy at work ?
Just pointing that out.
Omo.

People cope in different ways. Plus, if this situation is about SG, and some crazy person did something to her Mom, an equally crazy person might try to seek vigilante justice on her behalf. And since his name was mentioned by AB as a potential prime suspect, whether he ultimately is or is not, the internet has been saturated with "ooh look at his side eye glare in this Christmas photo from 2013, he clearly did it!" posts. No one here, of course. 😉

JMO.

I’m sorry if this has been addressed, but if SIL were to be a suspect, what do you think were his movements in theory? Did he drop off NG, leave, and come back around the time the cameras were turned off? Did he drop her off and never actually leave the driveway, lying in wait until she went to bed? Or did he go inside with her? Do you think they maybe had a disagreement on the way home?

I saw the discussion earlier about how people were unhappy we were suspecting family members, and I don’t feel strongly one way or the other, so this is all theoretical.
We don't even know if NG made it home that evening. Did something happen at the party or afterwards?

They are apparently conducting or will be co ducting a third round of searching / activity on the house.
Why would LE be going back for a third round?

I thought someone earlier said it was this one (Chevron, not Circle K) ...??

418 W Rudasill Rd

Tucson, Arizo

If i remember right - the chevron thing came from JLR Investigates and he is hardly a reputable source

Still searching for the exact post but here’s one of the MSM articles about it … and like you said, it doesn’t identify which one exactly.

ETA: this New York post article has a bit more details about more general location of the gas station.
I'm pretty sure I figured it out. One of the MSM articles said it was very close to AG and TC house. Not gonna dox them but it would be the Las Lomitas store.

Why so much attention from POTUS? So many missing/kidnapped/abducted people.
This case has garnered the attention of the entire country with SG being a well-known daily talk show host. So not surprising.

IMO he isn’t privy to anything going on and he is talking off the cuff, which he tends to do. Can’t read more into it

If T is involved, I think it is highly likely that A is involved too. She would have said something if he had taken hours to come home after dropping her off, or probably noticed if he left again late at night.
Wonder if AG knows where TC is, now ?
Imo.
