AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Good point. Also thinking of my own parents, I don’t think any of their friends have my phone number, and I don’t have theirs. So I’m surprised that a church friend would have any Nancy’s children’s numbers handy to call them.
Everybody is different.
My best friend and I exchanged the numbers of our oldest adult kids a few years ago. We've never used them but we have them.
Sometimes church friends are also dear friends in general and you stay in close contact.

If they didn't have a search warrant than anything they found would likely be barred from evidence at trial.
It was reported on FOX that they had consent warrants.

I respectively disagree. The LE doesn't need to have a presser to allow anyone that public opinion has determined is guilty stand and beg for the missing person. The LE needs to concentrate their efforts on reviewing new information and tips, not clearing people in public. There are many other people that could be suspect. What about the mystery church lady? To me this person could be responsible as well, because he/she might have a guilty conscience. I honestly would not want to go and state my innocence because that will only bring out more people that will say he is guilty without any facts. MOO.
Will be interesting to see if theres any calls on AG telephone from this mystery person tbh

The SIL claim was clickbait. Neither the SIL nor AG are involved. If authorities even had a tiny suspicion they were, then they would have search warrants. I know crime stats show there's a connection between last person to see a victim but LEs actions prove they are not suspects at this time.

I believe the family ARE quite possibly involved. For a MULTITUDE of logical reasons. What makes you so sure they are not.

Skipped the country?!
To be fair I think AG and SG have only been seen in the videos they released. I was hoping MK would ask BE if they'd seen either AG or SG or CG out running around but she didn't.

My opinion only.

I'm perplexed as to why more billboards are going up if they are closing in and an arrest is imminent.
It is in sync, though, with SG's message on Instagram today.

Wonder if AG knows where TC is, now ?
Imo.
He's probably staying home out of the spotlight. I am sure he and his wife know all about public suspicions of him and they don't want to fan the flames with a bunch of appearances.

I wonder who is paying for them? That information might provide some insight. IMO

It's fine to have different opinions about how this is playing out.
Then we can agree to respectfully disagree, I guess.
Do not think it was the church lady who did it, at all.
T.C. does not need to state his innocence, if LE clears him, that will be enough.
Imo.

Just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but my understanding is that LE has 2 priorities: find the missing person, and legally obtain evidence leading to a successful prosecution of the perpetrator(s). Part of the rules of engagement include that LE can withhold information, tell false information including lies, and/or mislead parties as investigative methods while searching for the truth. These can NOT be done by the prosecutor in prosecuting the criminal charges. There, the suspect, who is presumed innocent, has the right to the truth and any withholding of information, lies, or misdirection may well lead to charges being set aside, a mistrial, a successful appeal of a conviction, etc. Just my thoughts, fwiw.

Circle K 5801 N Oracle near Las Lomitas. It is one minute drive from AG house.

I am pretty sure LE took Nancy's car right after news broke that there was a vehicle of interest seen at the Circle K. Which led me to believe that it could have been Nancy's car seen. We weren't given a time it was seen but it would be highly suspicious if it was at anytime that evening since Nancy took an Uber to Annie's that night.

I’m sorry if this has been addressed, but if SIL were to be a suspect, what do you think were his movements in theory? Did he drop off NG, leave, and come back around the time the cameras were turned off? Did he drop her off and never actually leave the driveway, lying in wait until she went to bed? Or did he go inside with her? Do you think they maybe had a disagreement on the way home?

I saw the discussion earlier about how people were unhappy we were suspecting family members, and I don’t feel strongly one way or the other, so this is all theoretical.

Regardless of who is the culprit, the motive is likely financial.

I don't find it depressing. I hope I have friends that care about me when I get to that age.
That's what's depressing. I don't know if I will have anyone left. 😔

Several posters have asked on this thread recently if LE would need both AG and TC to give voluntary consent to a search of their home and property. I assume that LE would need the consent of all legal and official homeowners. Do we know if both AG and TC are listed on auditor's website as both being official homeowners?
No, LE does not need consent of all owners. In fact, it is consent of the legal occupant. For example, if your house was a rental, LE does not need consent of the owner - just consent of the legal occupant or resident. This comes up alot in searches of hotel rooms. The occupant of the hotel room provides consent. Hotels are not legally required to open doors for LE unless there is an urgent need or there is a warrant.

The Daily Mail says TC is with AG, SG, etc. The article is paywalled but Megyn Kelly reads the relevant portions in this clip.

''Here's the latest

Family’s plea: “Today” host Savannah Guthrie posted a video Monday, saying the family believes 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie is “still out there.” “We are at an hour of desperation,” she continued, “and we need your help.”

Continuing investigation: The FBI says it has not identified a suspect or person of interest in the case, which is now in its second week. Additional FBI personnel from across the nation are deploying to Tucson, it said.

Purported deadline: Guthrie’s possible abductors demanded $6 million by 5 p.m. today, CNN affiliate KGUN previously reported, citing a purported ransom note sent to the station. The note included a threat to Guthrie’s life if the deadline wasn’t met, according to KGUN.''
......................................................
'The crime scene at Nancy Guthrie’s house is “contaminated,” because of how many people have visited the site, former New York police detective Michael Alcazar said Monday.

“News outlets have been at the crime scene, which has now contaminated the crime scene, which just makes it a little bit harder to process, because now you have more DNA and more fingerprints, more footprints in the crime scene,” Alcazar told CNN’s Erin Burnett.'

''The initial ransom note sent to TMZ and two Tucson stations about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has “a direct, stark statement about consequences” if the potential kidnapper or kidnappers don’t get the money, TMZ founder and executive producer Harvey Levin told CNN’s Erin Burnett.
“That’s all I will say,” Levin said. “But it is chilling when you read that sentence. It is short and to the point.”

I'm pretty sure I figured it out. One of the MSM articles said it was very close to AG and TC house. Not gonna dox them but it would be the Las Lomitas store.
Brian Entin said that the gas station is right around the corner from AG’s house and would be passed coming back from NG’s house.

It sounded to me like the FBI was paying.

"The FBI is rolling out digital billboards in several Texas cities—including Houston, El Paso, San Antonio and Dallas—to aid in the search for the 84-year-old, Brooke A. Brennan, FBI Phoenix Public Affairs Officer, told CNN Thursday. The billboards feature Nancy's photo, essential identifying information and the FBI tip line for anyone with information."

This was also mentioned in the Thursday press conference; I don't have the exact language in front of me but IIRC the sheriff said something to the effect of "the FBI is putting up billboards." I can dig it up if needed.

Good point.
At least if they went out in public they could cover their faces somehow if they felt unwanted (and undeserved) scrutiny was occurring ?
Jmo.
