Regardless of who is the culprit, the motive is likely financial.
If the ransom is fake then how would the real perp get money?

Nancy was expected at a friend's house.....not church

On Feb. 1, Nancy did not arrive at her friend’s house as expected to watch the livestream. Concerned, the friend contacted Annie — Nancy’s daughter and Savannah Guthrie’s sister — to report that Nancy had not shown up and could not be reached.

The source emphasized that Nancy was expected to be at her friend’s home that morning, not at a Tucson church, and said the circumstances surrounding her absence have been inaccurately described in some coverage.

This makes way more sense than the not at church thing.

People cope in different ways. Plus, if this situation is about SG, and some crazy person did something to her Mom, an equally crazy person might try to seek vigilante justice on her behalf. And since his name was mentioned by AB as a potential prime suspect, whether he ultimately is or is not, the internet has been saturated with "ooh look at his side eye glare in this Christmas photo from 2013, he clearly did it!" posts. No one here, of course. 😉

JMO.
Fair enough.

Yet if someone you were related to and cared for deeply was kidnapped, wouldn't you want to plead for their safe return and you wouldn't care at all what people thought about you, in public or in social media ?
Internet speculation would mean zilch if your loved one was being held captive and maybe suffering.
You'd do everything in your power to beg for them !
Omo.

Several posters have asked on this thread recently if LE would need both AG and TC to give voluntary consent to a search of their home and property. I assume that LE would need the consent of all legal and official homeowners. Do we know if both AG and TC are listed on auditor's website as both being official homeowners?
They’re both listed as the property owners on the auditors website.

Glad this was cleared up. It indirectly suggests that either AG or SIL contacted LE.

Regardless of who is the culprit, the motive is likely financial.
With no proof of life after all this time (as far as we know) and all communication done publicly, it feels like the motive might be public humiliation of Savannah. Does the writer of the notes expect to get paid without proving that NG is alive? Even if he didn’t want to send photographs or physical evidence, he could have sent information in the notes that only NG and her children would know. Absent that, I’d be surprised if he expected to get money.

What he’s getting is news and perhaps that was the motive all along.

If they didn't have a search warrant than anything they found would likely be barred from evidence at trial.
I may have to agree with you on that. If nothing else, IMO it's sloppy

I
Why so much attention from POTUS? So many missing/kidnapped/abducted people.

Just my theory. This case is bizarre. The last thing that anyone wants is for someone to succeed at kidnapping a well known public figure's elderly mother and holding her for Bitcoin ransom. That sets a terrifying precedent. JMO.

The SIL claim was clickbait. Neither the SIL nor AG are involved. If authorities even had a tiny suspicion they were, then they would have search warrants. I know crime stats show there's a connection between last person to see a victim but LEs actions prove they are not suspects at this time.

That is quite the outrageous statement to make, at this point in the investigation.

Any proof ? Referring to it as clickbait? How do ?

Maybe the church friend is the perp! Try that out for a twist!!!!!!

But if she and her friends attended via Zoom, multiple things can happen at once.

The concerned person could have texted while viewing the service, or stepped away and phone AG, as early as 10:50 if she didn’t see NG online.

I’m in a lot of Zoom meetings and depending on the group, we sometimes log in 5-10 minutes early to chat before the official proceedings begin. If this was the routine for a cohort of NG’s friends, they would have noted her absence AND been able to call or text AG well before 11am.
Well it was even bothering Billy Bush. He was asking Brian.

If T is involved, I think it is highly likely that A is involved too. She would have said something if he had taken hours to come home after dropping her off, or probably noticed if he left again late at night.
I agree. But the only thing i can think of where this could not be the case is if when SIL left to drop NG off, AG got ready for bed and fell asleep. If for some chance they didn’t share a bedroom, as even some healthy couples don’t, i could see how that could leave some room for him to sneak in and out and be back by sunrise after whatever could have happened after the 1-2 am timeframe.

just thinking out loud don’t take me too seriously

Why in the world did LE not clarify this days ago! They could see it was fueling rumors.

If you are correct, how does the kidnap letter writer know about the exact special placement of the Apple Watch?
Not sure, I would have to know exactly what they wrote. Did they say the watch is being placed on the toaster in kitchen, or is it more generic. Did it get leaked out by the authorities and someone is using that to write the ransom letters (I think this is likely). A real kidnapper for money, just wants money, they would release proof of life and get paid, it's about the money. I think the ransom letters are BS.

OK since my version of what might have happened had been removed (I have a copy of my version), I am leaving the discussion as I have no ideas.

My premonition is: we shall probably never know what truly happened that evening/night.

Good that they didn’t pay the ransom.

It could also be a crime of passion with someone trying to cover up evidence. It’s harder to convict without a body.
