I don't think the FBI has even been back to AG/TC's home. On Friday night it was the Sheriff's dept.

I'm not sure LE can lie. Even so, it would be horrible practice. Withholding information and claiming they dont know things/don't have a suspect is one thing. But putting out lies would not only give the defense ammunition in court - but leads to false tips and a confused public.

My opinion...my heart goes out to the family! SG's video today seemed less scripted. Which makes me think either it's been proven the ransom letters were fake or they sent money and are just praying for the best. Her demeanor seemed like she was not being controlled by a narrative. Trying to explain my thoughts and i hope it makes sense.

Right! LE said this at the first PC and I guess they felt like they didn’t need to clarify it.

LE has been pretty obvious about their searches of AG/TC house. I think today there was a notice that they might be searching at AG/TC house tonight which struck me as kind of strange. I feel like LE is putting on a bit of a show to try to agitate someone or some people while the general public is watching this same show. That is a ton of pressure on their targets. I can't imagine the tension.

The only times I have seen the family have been on SG's instagram. Reportedly, TC is with the siblings but there is no reason for him to be seen on those.....they were pleas from NG's children. He probably IS with them (and the child, I hope. ) JMO

I don't love all these former FBI guys going on tv and saying "oh a bitcoin account can be traced and found" !!!! Like.... aren't you supposed to at least let the bad guys believe it's impossible and then.... catch them??? Not openly say you can catch someone that way in the midst of a kidnapping with a ransom??? oy.

Anything is possible, but the LE concentration on them is typical of not being able to rule them out. That suggests digital footprints and alibi aren't readily available for either of them.

Couple that with some of the financial entanglements they have with NG and it begins to look like motive.

I only remember one time hearing LE outright publicly clear someone because of major public suspicion - in the Idaho 4 case, Kaylee’s ex-boyfriend (maybe Kaylee & Maddie’s driver that night too?). BK wasn’t even a suspect at the time he was publicly cleared. I say that, because while I’m sure there are other cases it has happened in, publicly clearing someone is not the norm.

And this is far from a normal case. The fact that there was supposed LE leak on a media broadcast that TC may be Prime Suspect which was then followed up on Megyn Kelly followed by absolute INTENSE public accusations about him... that would be my reason for making an exception (as in I4 case) to state something publicly, if possible to do so.

I'd never expect it in normal cases, obviously...but the wild accusations about him, wife, accomplices etc are out of control. If innocent... this is dire!

OMG!! That's just absurd. Maybe her friend was really scared and begged them not to talk about it... I don't know. there's no rhyme or reason. I saw the interview with her friend from the book club, but I didn't think she said anything about church. I wonder how she was supposed to get to the friend's house?
And I'm wondering if Annie or t knew she had plans that morning.

It sounded to me like the FBI was paying.

This was also mentioned in the Thursday press conference; I don't have the exact language in front of me but IIRC the sheriff said something to the effect of "the FBI is putting up billboards." I can dig it up if needed.

This seems odd. Why put up billboards in Texas? Unless they think she is alive and being moved.

Now that I read that article maybe that's why Savannah reached out to everyone today no matter where they were living. since this was released by a close friend of the guthries and it shows that obviously they're not happy about key details being incorrect. Makes sense to me.
