I found this information to be very helpful. I always like to know the exact details of when someone first notices a person is ''missing''. It's the moment someone realizes that something is wrong, and nothing is the same from that moment forward.

In this case, the exact details seemed to be an afterthought for some reason. If the 'church ladies' had not noticed NG was missing on Sunday morning, the whole day may have passed before someone else sounded the alarm.

Their client would have to explain why they signed a consent to search form that details exactly what can be searched, and was witnessed by multiple individuals.

Pure verbal consent stopped being a thing quite a while ago, unless there’s some sort of weird exigency. Even then, they’d likely record the verbal consent.

MOO but SG has a secret or not so secret anymore, admirer. Something changed today. She didnt seem as distraught. She was trying to take back some control and she clearly didnt signal or say anything that indicated they were paying any ransom. This is going to be a crazy "fan" who didnt want her to go to the Olympics and found a way to keep her here. Something along those lines and IMO, LE is finally investigating that. I am very sad that her family has been totally eviscerated as being the perps, in debt, lying about the person from the church, being accused of being neglectful for letting her take an Uber , yet SG somehow has become THE ONLY SYMPATHETIC FIGURE. IMO, HER TALENT AND FAME, ARE WHAT DREW THE ABDUCTER'S TO HER MOTHER'S DOORSTEP. I know this post won't be popular. However, it's honest. SG became untouchable while her family was maligned. If not a secret admirer, then a contractor or someone who knew she was NG's daughter and there was means for a large ransom. I am surprised the ransom wasn't paid. IMO, that was a foolish move. jmo

If this was a targeted person because of a wealthy relative (SG) there are a lot of famous adjunctive people who live in Tucson who are way wealthier than SG. I don't know the rules of listing people bc I'd assume that may be construed as Doxing, but it's an easy google to see who has siblings or other family members living in Tucson.

I wonder if the investigation could be getting bogged down a bit due to the fact that Tucson has more than a usual amount of people from all over the country in town right now. The gem show is in town. Jan 28-Feb 15 Lots of various locations all over town. It just came to me.

If the ransom notes were able to confirm where specific, relevant items where in the home or how they were placed (watch, etc), or what had been done to things (flood lights), then that would indicate that these things were done on purpose (duh) and with specific intent to use as confirmation of the abduction. Kind of like a serial killer and his trophies. This would then suggest that this was a well-sorted event and that the perp or perps knew in advance that there would need to be multiple special, unusual things done at, near, and/or to the home to prove that their demands were authentic. They also knew that these things would need to be done in advance if they had no intention or desire for intensive interactions, conversations, or negotiations with family or anyone else. In their eyes, perhaps, the authentication alone should be enough and there is no need to elaborate. Either pay or suffer consequences. "Believe me or not, I don't care!", in other words. This suggests complexity. And refinement. And a grudge.

Doing it this way would obviously be so that the perp(s) wouldn't put him/themselves at more risk of being tracked or located. And just like the letters being sent to media to publicize his/their brazen act, it also suggests that the ransom demand, fairly low by today's measures of wealth, could indeed be peripheral and not the primary reason for the abduction.

Just thinking a little (what is now likely considered) outside of the box.

These interstate billboards are useful and sensible given the statement made by Ms. Savannah to the effect that the siblings believe their mother is still alive.
The billboards would alert some waitress at a restaurant in California or a gas station cashier in Texas or a truck driver in the interstates about a missing 84 year old woman with pictures in the billboards, in case the criminals are transporting her interstate given that more than a week has passed since the crime.
The FBI puts up the billboards but the cost of the billboards could be born of anyone willing to pay!
And the cost of these billboards is not stiff for someone making upper 8-digit $$$ per year such as Savannah and her friends.

All anyone has to do is go on social media for local Tucson stations or on Reddit for wild speculations and accusations. Most have zero idea and simply throw everything out there in a disrespectful manner.

Good point, Sheriff wasn’t sure how to respond when asked at the press conference if there was a threat to the public since no one has been arrested. Add to that, no more requests for tips from the public and any descriptions of anything people should be looking for etc.? It’s too quiet. Do they have a suspect in their sight?

OR ask for consent and at the same time explain why they’d also like a warrant. I’m really confused about the warrant issue. My take is the warrant is a good thing in terms of a future trial. Any findings with only a consent could be argued against, while a warrant is solid? In this situation would LE prefer a sealed or unsealed warrant? Help me here. Do we even know if a warrant has happened here?

Both a warrant and consent- as as long as the person consenting has authority to consent- will hold up in court. One spouse can consent to the search of the marital residence of both spouses the only limitation there might be if there were particular rooms or areas where the spouse didn't have authority to access. Were a warrant issued in this case my guess would be it would be sealed at least for now given the sensitivity of the investigation.

I didn't realize there was a separate guest house on the property. It would be really remiss not to search it.

I watched that interview and felt that retired FBI agent was either out of his depth or not up to speed on the case. For one, he said sealed warrants would still be viewable as in existence in court records to the public/reporters when they are most definitely, definitely not.
