Have there been any reports of valuables missing? Did this person really go in with the express purpose of abducting an elderly person only? Have there been other notable crimes like this? Could it possibly be random?

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I know, they haven’t reported anything about the inside of the house and what they found.

It looks like this is a left handed person. That’s an identifier if someone is suspicious it could be someone they know. He covers the camera with his right hand but uses the dominant hand to mess with the camera. He uses his left hand to grab the brush or plant. Seems small but anything helps!

Is the Guy in the Video Possibly Ambidextrous?. People like drummers and pianists are often able to use both hands equally well. Perhaps that explains why some people are saying the video shows the person as left handed and others as right handed.

I know just enough about systems and servers to be annoying (but not enough to be in the know). These setups are huge, with layers like live databases, incremental backups, snapshot archives, and leftover logs. Whoever pulled these images probably had to dig through different storage tiers, reconcile metadata, and work through permission layers (basically combing through copies most people would never see). That takes serious effort and I think that’s pretty impressive.

I can’t help but wonder if the person in the video realizes these files were actually recoverable (are they realizing now that there are pics and video of them when everyone thought the camera saved nothing).

Probably breathing easy when he learned those cameras weren’t storing recordings in the cloud.

Now he’s gotta be panicking.

It seems to me this suspect must know that Nancy Guthrie lives alone, bc he has been outside the residence for awhile, setting up his attack, so he knows no one will be coming to the door if they heard him outside.

I'm wondering if this person could be a package delivery person ...Amazon delivery...who knows Nancy and knows she lives alone....a city trash man perhaps...who knows she lives alone...or a mail delivery person who knows her name and knows her daughter is well known.....

Can't AI remove the mask off that persons face? It seems that AI should be sophisticated enough now to be able to show the face of this kidnapper!

I think he could just as easily be right handed. Bending over and picking up things with the left hand makes sense if the gun is weighted to his right side, or holstering hand.

Question for the guys who have carried guns before - is that a comfortable / uncomfortable place to wear one?

I’m a female so no crotch issues here, though it’s odd.
I’m also diabetic with a pump on one side and a sensor on the other of my stomach so dunno if that would influence me (never carried a gun before)

I wrote this back some pages ago. I'm female .when I open carry , that's how I wear it. It's a lot easier for me if I had to use it. On the hip would require me to reach for it that is uncomfortable for me . Also I have it in my head it would be easier for someone to disarm me from the hip.(female)

I really wish I hadn't asked. I've been told the question is moot as the flower itself has no meaning or symbol attached to it, and they grow everywhere because they are easy in that particular region.

My mother used to say I had too much of a romantic disposition, and it has led me to ask a dumb question.

In my opinion, we should move past the flowers. They are just there and have played a reluctant part in all this.

It's night vision, not b&w. The IR light causes some features to be exaggerated and some to be understated. This gives people and things an uncanny appearance.
