AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

I'm still on page 868 (apologize if this has been discussed) but studying photo of potential perp, wondering about wearing a jacket -- I think of Tucson being warm. Thinking a jacket with backpack and a knit balaclava might have been hot clothing on Jan 31/Feb 1.

Also, noticed that at start of the video, perp appears to not be wearing the backpack (don't see straps at start), but once on porch he does have it on.

A javelina has joined the FBI and PCSD walking houses in this neighborhood. So to recap today in the Guthrie case: surveillance images, pizza delivery, FBI and PCSD going door to door and a javelina sighting.

As much as I hate what is happening for the Guthrie family, I'm enjoying seeing the landscape of that beautiful area....and now seeing a javelina which is new to me to see. And, that dark sky.

Yeah. A million people can ask that question it will produce a million different images.

It's not reliable, and definitely not helpful.

The danger is the people posting this stuff on social media, and the danger is that the wrong image gets stuck in people's brains, like what happened in the Charlie Kirk investigation.
Got it! Thanks so much for the info

Gussied, there is someone close to the family who looks remarkably like those eyebrows, complete with criminal history. I see folks referencing STS here, so I’ll assume that it okay to say it’s mentioned in the comments there. IIRC, they even discussed the name in the live program. Friend of a family member, criminal history in line with this crime.
Ahhhh, okay, I see what you mean!! Sorry about that, I don’t know why but when you said that I thought you meant PHYSICALLY close and I was gonna say I don’t know what her neighbors look like! Thanks for the clarification :)

It’s interesting, Brian Entin got to interview a local in her car and she said that people have been casing the houses in the neighborhood for a while. How accurate that is, I don’t know. I’m sure law enforcement has already looked at crime activity that’s taken place in the area within the last few months or year.
Reminds me of the white van a local recalled seeing in the hood prior to this happening.

Agree. Latino 20s to early 30s.
I'm not the poster you were addressing, but I saw it and it was a gray haired, gray bearded white male in his late 50s.

To me, it was not accurate to what the footage shows. I'm thinking a Latino in his 20s.

Sorry Everyone! I was informed that I should not post the pic so I deleted.
You can bet the FBI did that. Won't tell us, however, unless Patel is around to break the news.

My mother is 77 and my sister, who lives in the same suburb, has access to her cameras. Our mother hated it at first (i am not old! I need my privacy!) but has since realised the benefits. So it's not such a far-fetched idea to me at all, I am not rolling my eyes 😉
I have cameras everywhere. my husband and I frequently check in on each other. we both travel for work. I travel with a camera. It is the first thing I set up, and I make sure he can see me. I am now at the point where I will add my daughter to this so she can see me. people always think it's weird and I always get " don't you want privacy?" I have plenty of privacy. What I want is someone who can see me if ill laying on the floor dead, or if I'm disappeared.

We get text alerts for one of our cameras and you know what? We silence our phones at night, lol? Why? The text alerts from the back camera detect a moth as a person even when we unchecked all the settings. After you have a camera system a while, you just get lazy with it. Its hard to be hypervigilant when nothing ever happens. Sad but true.
Mine is currently going off like crazy because my husband is in the driveway. We have one for our backyard and I turn motion detection off back there because taking our dogs out ends up running through batteries. But if motion is off, WHAT AM I DOING WITH THE CAMERA? lol

But really though, it's sadly true. We don't mute our phones at night but we will silence notifications on the cameras sometimes at night because...nothing ever happens, right? Ugh.

What caught my attention in the FBI flyer is the mention of contacting an American embassy or consulate.

Is there any suspicion from the FBI that the suspect could be a foreign national?
Or left the country?
Or dual citizen?

Male, middle-aged appearance. Bald head with a full, thick beard that appears salt-and-pepper to gray. Face is oval with a broad forehead and strong brow. Eyes are medium-set and intense, looking directly forward. Nose is straight and proportionate. Lips are medium, slightly parted. Beard is closely trimmed along the cheeks and fuller around the chin and jawline. Skin tone appears light. Expression is serious and focused.
I posted earlier about someone I saw on instagram that was being being interviewed. He was bald with a mustache and beard, but had on sunglasses. It is NOT an official source, just a random instagram so I didn’t feel appropriate to post. According to the video he lived about 15 min away. He was bashing the sheriff for being at the ballgame and saying that he thought SIL was guilty. Just weird and strange

Timeline which includes Monday, Feb. 2.

Monday, Feb. 2

The sheriff pleaded with the public for help at a news conference on Monday, saying Nancy Guthrie "did not leave on her own."

Savannah Guthrie -- who traveled to Tucson -- spoke out on social media on Monday, saying, "Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. ... Bring her home."

Let's make a list here of items needed to pull off perfect crime:
1. Reflective backpack
2. Flowers for covering up ring camera
3. Black latex gloves from Walmart or Tractor Supply
4. A keychain flashlight for mouth
5. A quarter zip from Belks

Did I miss anything
A great wax job done on your eyebrows, Probably should get your mustache waxed too...Floral arrangements , preferably Lantana, A good friend who is into Zoom church services to report the absence of the victim, quickly. An inside scoop podcaster (AB) to totally misdirect who the perp is and a basketball loving Sheriff. MOO

Do you have a link? I would like to see if NG possibly tried to fight back or get away. Thanks
When I look close it almost looks like blood drops and very small blood spray dots too. IMO dome type of trauma happened very close to the ground based on the blood spray.

DEVELOPING: Two SWAT armored vehicles have just departed the Pima County Sheriff’s Department parking lot, heading in different directions. Sources say the activity is connected to the search for Nancy Guthrie.

At the same time, the FBI presence outside Annie’s house is increasing, but I don’t see any tactical gear here.

At least 10 agents in the neighborhood canvassing right now.

Holy, sources saying the SWAT vehicles are connected to the search? Can we take that to mean they have an idea of who took her? 😳

I want to think not long. The sooner they could get out the sooner someone might call in with a tip. Somebody I'm sure recognizes that person. JMO
The FBI said they got them this morning. First they had to get a warrant then dig to find a needle in a haystack. Had to get third parties to help them find the data that most thought wouldn't be recoverable. Amazing work.

Has anyone noticed that the 1 million posts about the church lady have disappeared and are now being replaced with posts about plucked eyebrows and the kind of flowers near the front door? Just an observation..lol

Easy to see why regular long-time posters abandoned here and went to private group convos!

Those Catalina hills are other worldly beautiful.
