or at least stop it from later overwriting the footage on the cloud. by stopping the camera from recording any more, the perp guaranteed the last footage in the cloud was of himself. otherwise, a few hours of cars passing and the breeze making the bushes wave around would have eventually overwritten it.Someone said upthread that removing the camera would trigger it to record to the cloud (I hope I'm explaining that correctly.)
I agree they have a vested interest, so confirmation is important. But I will also say that I've found they have a pretty good track record of having solid sources, and also not making things up. Then again, there is a first time for everything, and skepticism isn't a bad practice in this case...TMZ has a vested interest in this, and they desperately want the note to be connected to the person who actually took her.
ohhh but that doesn't mean that someone on the phone would have it though I think Google had it in their systems as the last image. Otherwise whatever device even NG used to see footage would have had stored to rewind/playback..which would mean they had this the whole time.Removing the camera stopped it from overwriting future footage so Google/Nest was able to obtain it.
I was thinking more if they picked up in cars passing.I mean so many people have cameras esp in nice areas - for various reasons, but I though they said that the houses weren't close enough to really get images of activity at NG house
I'm waiting for someone more reliable than TMZ to corroborate this.

somone on this thread said the black dog is not Nancy’s. I think it was said it was Annie’sDepends on the nature and severity of her hearing loss. Maybe her dog came beside her barking when the doorbell rang or someone entered the house.
What caught my attention in the FBI flyer is the mention of contacting an American embassy or consulate.
Is there any suspicion from the FBI that the suspect could be a foreign national?
The eyes look like a woman’s eyes. The body looks like a male, but maybe it’s a female with a lot of padded clothes on.Why would he want to expose his eyes and mouth? Like why not wear night vision glasses? Also, not cold in Tucson and he seems to wear such padded clothing.
My thoughts exactly.I'm waiting for someone more reliable than TMZ to corroborate this.

It would be ",just desserts" if the perp's act of removing the front door camera is exactly what prevented the stored images from being overwritten and lost forever.I think you can see the images in real time as they are happening but it won't be retained. So for example say she had work being done at the house and AG or NG wanted to check before coming back if they were done - you look at the camera on your phone to see what is happening at the moment. But depending on the camera you would have very little if any ability to rewind or see anything that already happened. And if they weren't awake then they won't see what is happening or know what happened.
It’s been mentioned that the suspect may have initially gotten in elsewhere, and he was seen on camera at the front porch after he’d already been in the house. Perhaps assessing best way to get her out.I'm still on page 868 (apologize if this has been discussed) but studying photo of potential perp, wondering about wearing a jacket -- I think of Tucson being warm. Thinking a jacket with backpack and a knit balaclava might have been hot clothing on Jan 31/Feb 1.
Also, noticed that at start of the video, perp appears to not be wearing the backpack (don't see straps at start), but once on porch he does have it on.

I also uploaded to GEDmatch for this exact reason.I'd def turn in a family member. I submitted my 23&me to GEDmatch for this purpose. Any one who commits a crime should have to face consequences. I don't care if it's a relative.
That would be absolutely perfect...wouldn't it?It would be ",just desserts" if the perp's act of removing the front door camera is exactly what prevented the stored images from being overwritten and lost forever.
I wish they would release those notes to the public! Someone could recognize a phrase, wording, just anything that might help. jmooI'm waiting for someone more reliable than TMZ to corroborate this.
