another poster or a news commentator thought he tried to grab camera and couln't get a good grip on it so may have used the lantana to help grip the camera. this makes more sense but let's just hope his bulb isn't that bright
ok that makes some more sense...still not a strategy...and I mean who preps like he did and doesn't plan for a doorbell camera??

When I saw him picking flowers, I thought maybe he was a gardener.

Before we all get too excited, I think they may have caught the person that sent the bogus ransom request. I can only hope they found NG as well.

JMO
Still though, I do hope they are 1 in the same but if not, the person who did this ransom put this poor family through hell, doing video's etc trying to get their mother back. I'm not saying this is the person but if it is, I hope they rot! IMO

Yeah, you can see him look for something to use before he grabs the plant.

Regarding this "south of Tucson" location, do we have any info on whether that correlates with the direction the SWAT vehicles went in?

Just a matter of time before someone leaks a name, IMO.

Not sure if relevant, but on Flight Radar there is a LifeNet Arizona helicopter in Tumacacori, AZ right now.

Let hope they found her! Crossing my fingers

With her health issues and lack of medication all this time, it would not necessarily take any action on the part of a “badass.” Regrettably.
True...but depending on the person, they could have taken care of her...yes that's not likely but possibly in my opinion

Please god let them find Nancy safe and unharmed. Let her be able to go back to her family.

Who said she entered via the garage? If she was dropped at home by her SIL why wouldn't she go through the front door? Seems a lot more trouble to open a garage door than a front door. IMO.

We know she has used the front door because her blood spatter was found there. And even if she did enter through the garage there should still be evidence of a vehicle pulling up to the house and swinging into the driveway. I can't imagine letting an 84 year old woman with limited mobility walk from the road and get herself into the house via the garage. She isn't the kind of person you just 'drop off'. In the released video you can see the the walkway and the road so a vehicle would have activated the camera.
I can’t say 100% she went thru garage but the timeline shows garage opened 9:48pm & closed 9:50pm so it certainly appears she did. And it’s no trouble to open a garage door with an opener or a phone app or even a key pad and likely easier for her if no steps from garage to house than front door would be. IMO family may have even pulled their car into the garage and let her out inside which would have made a shorter walk for her than the walk from the drive to the front door landing. i do agree at some point she either came out the front door or carried out it because of the blood but not when she came home. Vid of perp released today shows no blood there at the time he was caught on the camera.

Very far, over 30 min southwest. Why?
Very early reports lists the home of NG as north of Tucson, and this report says the person was detained south of Tucson

I'm proud to be with you all tonight on this milestone as Websleuths hits its first 1,000th page.
Same. Haven't posted in here in a while. Lurk on big cases. Been around doing a lot of work on the Drew Peterson case. (lost that older account)

SWAT vehicles headed SE about 45 miles according to Fox, but weren't given further specifics.
