Cartels are into drugs, and they make mega money from that. Surprising if a cartel was involved in this. Just doesn't seem like something where they would involve themselves.

I agree. While I would hope that my dad (same age as Nancy) would not open the door, in the middle of the night? I cannot guarantee that he wouldn't.

IMHO it's like the elderly giving their bank information out: you remind them constantly not too, yet everyday someone does. They know better and still do it.

I am positing that somebody gave the man seen in the Nest Cam a key. Or told him where a key was hidden, and that’s why he backed up and rifled under a bush.

There was no force entry, so he had to have had a key to get in. Nobody is opening the door for a stranger in the middle of the night!

There are people who know how to pick locks. And there are professional locksmiths who can open your unlocked door with their special tools. My theory is that the person captured on camera at the door brought some tools to pick the lock. That's why there was no sign of forced entry. MOO.

I think you’re right! I don’t see a legend, but I have seen that same red – line around the area when it was closed especially during fire season so I just assumed. Ignore my comment.
