Do we know what type of car the person detained yesterday had?

I am behind, but thought I read initially he was detained with a traffic stop. I'm wondering if they looked at other security cameras in the neighborhood and were able to identify a make and model of a car that the suspect used. Surely some other security camera must be pointed towards road and can't imagine there were too many cars traveling at that time.

Interesting...my BackDoor Ring Camera notified me yesterday that the battery is dead. So this morning I bring it inside to charge it. I at this moment have it plugged into the USB port on my laptop...as I type. As soon as it charged up enough it alerted me that "someone" is detected at my back door...it is seeing ME at this moment moving it around at the laptop to charge it.

So could it be the perp turned the camera face down and then on the way OUT the door he picked it up to take it with them and that is WHEN it got the 2:27 or so "detected image"...

The camera will detect visual AWAY from its mount...it's detected me and I'm 100ft or so away from the laptop and I'm using WIFI
Interesting! Good sleuthing. I would imagine a Nest doorbell works the same way.

It almost seems like the masked suspect wasn't particularly worried about their face being captured by the camera, but removing it was important. The result is that we (at least the public) have no footage of anyone leaving.

To me, it's odd, because if I put myself in the suspect's shoes, I'd be more worried about footage of my facial features than I would be about footage of my back hustling the victim out the door. In fact, footage of a living Nancy Guthrie being whisked off would make it more likely that the ransom would be paid.

I would also never assume that footage taken of me wouldn't be recoverable. You'd have to be a bit of a digital dumbbell to think removing a WiFi camera would prevent previous clips from being uploaded and stored remotely.

Well how would a random person even know how to contact the family? Very interesting detail in that post.
letter said "trying to reach the family to no avail" that means they DID NOT know how to reach them. moo

People don’t always get the reward money for one reason or another (the McDonald’s lady didn’t get it for Luigi). And I wonder if it’s taxable?
The reward specs often note that the person needs to be alive and successfully convicted.

I believe this is very relevant. ^^^

We still do not know if Nancy ever made it home that evening, and the daughter lives close enough that the pacemaker would keep syncing until Nancy herself was driven further out of range ?
What if Nancy was in a vehicle, alive or deceased, and was never moved from it, while the intruder was inside her house, rifling through her things ?
LE seem to have thought that it was a crime scene they were looking at, so even if nothing was taken were items looking as if a search had been carried out ?
So many unanswered questions.
Imo.
I would be willing to entertain the "Nancy never made it home" scenario except that her garage door went up and then down at the exact time the family said they took her home. I guess they could have driven over and entered the house at that time but why?

There are many paid sites that have this info

Yes, at this point Media is interfering. FBI didn't release the name of the person detained. The mother-in-law did after being asked by media during the interview at her house.
The MIL did NOT have to speak to the media. The man did NOT have to speak to the media. He’s out in full force giving interviews. At times he seems to be enjoying the attention.
It’s a choice

Bear with me. In NM an old letter has surfaced relating to Epstein and murder on his ranch. It asked for bitcoin to divulge facts. At the time the radio talk show host who received it believed it was real but gave letter to the FBI. It was never followed up. NM now taking it seriously years later. — Sadly this our new norm. Not good, brave citizens who are willing to help. It’s what’s in this for me. What can I sell? How can I profit? I believe every contact must be treated with seriousness. It’s an ugly world out there.

Thank you for clarifying. That makes sense.

I had heard someone say on a YT livestream yesterday that the car of the person detained was a Nissan. It was an SUV, so I'm assuming something like a Nissan Rogue or similar.

Just wondering what everyone is thinking about that jacket. Has anyone ever seen one like that before? It doesn't appear to be a current fashion from what I can see on Google. In fact, I haven't been able to track down one similar. However, I do recall seeing my Polish friend's husband wear something like this.

Maybe if we can help LE identify the jacket--and the jacket is on the rare side--but it will lead to identification when it was purchased?

I believe I found something similar with the same stripe and posted it pages and pages back. Vintage Nautica. I saw it in off-white and blue.

Thanks and that would make sense. I was thinking vintage as well as in 90's style.

I feel like it is still a very difficult crime to get away with. Kidnapping is harder than killing someone and then you also have to communicate with the family and receive payment, which is another chance for law enforcement to trace you.

I think if you wanted to make $1M in crime, you'd be a lot less likely to get caught if you just robbed a couple dozen mansions. And the penalties for getting caught are much less severe as well.
It would even be easier to rob the Louvre. Kidnapping for ransom as purely a means to money is insane. You'd have better chances of getting away with robbing a bank because the national news isn't going to do wall to wall coverage of it... it would just be a blip in the news.

Blood on the porch only proves she was at the house at some point. It doesn’t prove she ‘made it home’ in the sense of being safely dropped off and left there. That’s a big assumption to jump to.
In the video of the masked man on her doorstep, the blood isn't visible. So it looks like the blood landed on the doorstep after that man and any accomplices were there.

Some people did find it very easy to rob the Louvre in broad daylight!

Agreed.
Someone very familiar with Nancy's routines was involved in this.
I still do not think at this time it was someone employed by Nancy ?

It was a white Murano or Rogue I can't remember which.

Yes, I thought the jacket looked very retro 80s tracksuit, with iridescent strips along sides of zipper and shoulders( visible for night jogging).

Maybe Goodwill, so it couldn’t be researched, may not be available new today. FBI could look through eBay and some other resale sites, they sell old clothes. If found, search warrant, who they sold to.

Her pacemaker connected to her watch that was found in the home. The Apple Watch would have tracking information.
I saw in the Murdoch trial, pinpointed his exact location and the number of steps as he walk through the house.

They’ve got a lot of data to back up her being in the home and time. If there is a trial we will see amazing forensic capabilities.

Do SG’s BIL and AG have alibis after BIL supposedly dropped her off at home? Do we have evidence that he actually dropped her off at home?

How do we know the house wasn’t staged with her things, but her body wasn’t actually at home (and never made it home after being at AG’s house)?

I hope LE thoroughly questioned AG’s neighbors and looked at surveillance videos near AGs home and along the routes the BIL could’ve taken IF he drove NG back home.

So many questions. Not enough answers yet.

I pray they find her soon.
