If we're talking about this hourglass (seen it mentioned before in the thread) - It's called a bartack and is very common.ENHANCED PHOTO
If not, sorry and carry on lol

Good thinking, the Arizona desert is well known for its complex network of canals, rivers, lakes and retention ponds. In that case - a boat? Are there any canals or rivers in the area?
Yes sorry didn't see it. So many postsIf we're talking about this hourglass (seen it mentioned before in the thread) - It's called a bartack and is very common.

Are you suggesting they might have claimed exigency due to a tip, just to keep from showing a sealed warrant to the homeowner? They have to claim in a search warrant what they are looking for. Let's say they find do that and find something critical not covered by the warrant? Any defense attorney who takes that case could get that evidence thrown out pretty easily. And possibly charges dismissed.I’m not sure the tip thing was actually true. It’s just a way to get around explaining the evidence used in your probably sealed search warrant so that it doesn’t leak out when she inevitably goes and talks to half a dozen media outlets.

Fireman carry. I was trained to do that carry in the military and was able to transport men as heavy as me that way. If NG was carried out the front door this way the blood would indeed drip behind the person doing the carrying. IMOGreat line of thought, here.
This photo shows the porch a little bit closer up.
About 4-5 tile rows down from the front wall and 5 tiles over, there might be some slight shoe prints, but it's hard (for me) to tell.
I'd expect there to be more smearing and footprints considering the amount of blood and the chaos of an abduction. If it was a straight march to a vehicle, I'd expect a more linear pattern. Was NG struck just outside the door, or was she delayed here for some reason before moving/being moved toward the road?
Carrying someone over your shoulder is really hard to do, though obviously not impossible. The masked man doesn't seem particularly big or strong, so I have my doubts he'd be able to do that. Now, with a partner - one holding the legs and the other the feet - it would seem more doable to me.
Agreed, but this forum has been used by LE before and they may be monitoring it now. So, if some small detail a WS'er finds helps to bring NG home safely to her family then I'm all in. ...and absolutely someone will call it into LE.When you find the exact jacket, what will you do with that information? Why is it important for us to know? What can WE do with that information on this website to advance the case? LE yes. Then they can try to find purchases and receipts etc. I am confident they are already running this down. JMO
I’m not American and have not studied your geography, so I’m not sure how I was supposed to know this.Good thinking, the Arizona desert is well known for its complex network of canals, rivers, lakes and retention ponds.
Photo on FBI website, no video without backpack releasedAnyone have the photo or video of the perp without gun showing and no backpack on? Did they release just the still pic or was there a video along with it?
Did the guy come prepared to rob, abduct, or murder? Did Nancy ever sleep elsewhere, like at her daughter’s? Could the masked man think he was breaking into an empty home? Did he really intend to remove Nancy, or did things go sideways? Could he possibly have done this solo? There are so many possibilities here that every scenario has a pretty low probability of being right.
I get the impression this was targeted, as this guy came prepared. His actions with the doorbell camera don't indicate to me that he was overly familiar with that house.
It's almost as if he was told about it.
The ransom thing really throws this off. It doesn't appear that the FBI was buying it because that money was apparently not paid.
The demand occurred late in the proceedings, it was done bizarrely (reaching out to news outlets), and contained absolutely no proof of life. It looks to me like an afterthought, perhaps by an opportunist, or someone trying to mislead the investigation.
IMHO, you need to add:Yes, the posters in this thread would be sure to have a treasure trove of excellent information to help:
- She never made it back to the house
- The SIL or one of his evil band members done it
- She's hidden somewhere inside her own house
- She's buried somewhere under her own yard
- The perp took her away in her wheelchair
- The perp took her away in her wheelbarrow
- But what about her dog? Did they find her dog?
Looking like he was coming from the yard ... not straight up the walkway.. wasn't there a roof camera on the front?Exactly. So weird.
Things stated as fact need to be supported by approved sources in WS forums. These are the rules, which are easily a accessible via link at the bottom of your screen. What people are saying is that you have posted quite a few things that read as if they are givens in this case without a link to a source to back up your statements. Long term posters/ followers here are pointing out that many of your 'as if fact' statements are not supported by the actual known facts of this case per approved sources. JmoWhich part is supposed to be misleading?
Which pack - the X tacking on the straps is present on both.If you look at the straps on the backpack there is a distinctive hourglass stitching on strap that I don't see on this jmo
