AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Has anyone considered that the images they released from the door camera are NOT THE ONLY IMAGES they have from the camera? It is likely the battery operated on the camera long after it was removed from the mount. I'm guessing that LE has pictures from that camera showing it in scrub somewhere and THAT is why they were looking in Folks yards yesterday and in NG's yard today. They would know the camera was discarded, in scrub, and how soon after it was removed from the mount, so that narrows the distance it could be significantly. Just a thought, fwiw, IMHO.
No, no. If they didn’t find something the first time they searched, even if new evidence comes up, they have to abandon the search from that point forward. Otherwise random uninvolved people will complain about law enforcement doing their job.

Seems like the Feds had more of a knee jerk reaction to their own investigation and likely felt pressure to take some kind of action against somebody and went for a hail mary. Some random guy delivering packages in Nancy's neighborhood with similar physical features.

One thing I don't think people are aware of, if the Feds bust down your door and do any kind of damage to your house or property, the car tearing it apart, etc., even if you are innocent, you will not be compensated for the damage they caused. This can be a serious financial burden to lower income people.
Not necessarily true. A Texas homeowner recently won under Texas ‘State’ Law. https://ij.org/press-release/victor...m-destroyed-her-home-while-pursuing-fugitive/

There are other cases out there of LE entering the wrong address, destroying property that homeowners are filing cases. Trina Martin, Atlanta, GA home was raided in 2017. The case went to the Supreme Court challenging governments responsibility in ‘honest mistakes’ in wrong-house raids. The court ruled last summer that they are entitled to compensation under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

Nah, just look back at all of the cases we thought maybe there was no lead on and then they provided some real eye-opener evidence!
Totally true! I was mostly just venting my frustration about how many people seem to have had access to traipse through that area in the last 10 days, disturbing and dropping who knows how much potential evidence or red herring non-evidence. MOO

It seems like this person on the cam went to a lot of trouble to cover almost every part of their body, to hide their identity. I keep hearing a lot about the eyes of this person. Any chance they thought of that and are wearing colored contacts or sclera lenses?

The FBI website page for NG states she was last seen at her home.

I believe they likely have information that places her there after the drop off that we aren’t privy too, but that part is just MOO. Many seem very determined to pin this on family.

So you really think the perpetrator put Nancy's own blood on her steps after harming her in another location away from her house? Highly unlikely.
As likely as anything else right now, why wouldnt it be likely? If you are trying to point to a crime taking place at her house when it didnt blood drops would be an easy and obvious thing to do?

Not sure why some people are having trouble with this theory, we have ZERO PROOF she actually got home at all that night.

So a black glove was found, which appears to be like a rubber glove, and did I hear although I can't remember where that the shoes also appeared to have covers on them?

So the types of jobs that use black rubber gloves?
Medical/EMS?
LE?
Tattoo artists?
Cleaning crews? Possible that she had a cleaning service?
Mechanics?
Contractors/Painters? NG had contractors at her house
Food Service?

Another odd thing to me about this is LE doesn't seem to be actually LOOKING for NG (alive or unalive). Like sweeps of homes, fields, etc.
It looks more like they're looking for items, camera footage, information.
That feels off to me. Unless such searches are happening where no media would have knowledge.
But, seems like actually finding NG would be the priority.
Agree. It seems like LE wants the criminal more than NG. Wonder how SG feels about this.

Going back to this: the detective with the gloves was noted as picking up mail. The detective carrying the grocery bags was not wearing gloves.

With all of the hate spewed online towards them, and with their address published everywhere, I'd probably wear gloves checking the mail too.

That, and the off chance of communication from the suspect.

Sorry if this has been discussed before (man this board moves fast!!!!) but is it a fact that Nancy got home safely after game night, aside from Thomasco saying he drove her? I'm just trying to understand why law enforcement continues to search Annie's house since the crime is said to have taken place at Nancy's house. Doesn't make sense to me.
I want to know the same thing. Do they have video (traffic cam) of him taking her home and him returning home? (This board does move fast!)

LE hasn't said anything.

It appears that she had two entries in the back. One that leads into the garage or a utility room.

And very likely a larger door under her patio.

According to TMZ the blue door is where the light was smashed.

There is no way that the blue door is her only back door.
She has a pool, she lives in AZ and her house is 3,000 sq ft. She has a patio etc.

Correct, there would likely be french doors or a sliding glass door on this patio that we've never gotten a good look at:

Emphasis mine.
Not officially.

Eta : According to the post below and NBC he has been cleared !

Keep thinking well she reurned home and then ...
But we don't know if she returned home after the dinner and game night, only other people saying they dropped her off ?
It'd be helpful if LE would say definitively that they know she was home by 9:45 pm or whenever the exact time was ?
I suspect they're not saying as they don't know, even now ?
Imo.
I am actually suspicious because they cleared him. They haven’t cleared even the family officially but they cleared this guy and let him go after a brief chat with him? He is now my top suspect just because of that. They could be waiting to see if he leads them to Nancy.

I don't suspect CP at all, but I have had experience with GLS, they are a really large freight delivery company (think mattress, furniture, etc. The kind that sets up appointments and then delivers bulky items to curbs from large trucks, to the door or in home- white glove delivery. I would guess his tracking circled the area near her home, prior to the crime. Even possible he delivered to her inside or outside her home. I don't know about delivering smaller boxes, maybe (like oversized boxes that could still fit in a van). We def don't seem to know much about the warrant, but they sure did move on from him quickly.
I appreciate the information. I wasn't familiar with GLS.

My opinion is CP is not involved. I think he became a priority because he was part of a delivery crew that delivered to NG's house in recent months. Investigators look at everyone who regularly or periodically worked for NG. Then they'd look at anyone who had short, casual contact with the victim or her home in recent months. A GLS delivery to NG's house could have put the crew on LE's radar. Inside deliveries would raise their profile.

Nancy probably discussed major purchases like furniture or appliances with her children and friends. Financial records would document purchases and identify the specific delivery company. If GLS delivered to Nancy's house in recent months, LE needs to look at them.

My opinion is that CP's phone was NOT in the vicinity of NG's house around the time she was kidnapped. If it was, he might still be in custody. I don't think a kidnapper who took elaborate measures to prevent leaving DNA would carry a trackable cell phone into the victim's home.

I think CP was among the circle of people identified as being at or in the house in recent months. When the doorbell video was recovered, something about his build or appearance or maybe even a tip made him a priority.

Despite what CP told reporters on his doorstep in the early morning, I don't think a relative was the catalyst that made him a high priority. LE had already detained CP and burst through the doors of his house before they showed his relative a photo of the masked kidnapper. The relative may have responded that CP's eyes looked similar or LE may have told him a relative identified him during the interrogation. Either way, it's clear CP was prioritized and already detained before LE showed the relative the kidnapper's photo. MOO.

If the perpetrator did intend to kidnap her, wouldn't he/she have brought something to put over her head? A hood or cloth bag so she wouldn't have seen where she was going. Perhaps placed it over her head as she was sleeping (I'm sorry, a graphic image and all IMO/JMO).

As an aside, I wear hearing aids and once my hearing aids are out and I can actually get to sleep, I sleep pretty soundly. Without them, I can hear - but everything is muffled. If I was in the bedroom with the door of the bedroom closed, it's doubtful I would hear the doorbell ring. Of course, all hearing loss is different.

What facts do we know about the status of Nancy’s hearing ??

I’m seeing glasses, anyone else think maybe this person is wearing glasses under that mask?
Someone (probably 50 pages back at this point - I've been traveling all day) mentioned that they could be safety glasses, which I would buy.

I also think the darker outline could be the lining of the mask. I don't think they're eyebrows, FWIW. They come too close together in middle, especially on the right eye (his left, I guess). They'd be extending into the bridge of the nose, IMO.

Do you have access to the investigative records? Tips? CAST data?

Or are you drawing conclusions from brief media interviews with one person?

Do you think the judge was wrong to sign off on the search warrant? That’s essentially what you are claiming right now - that a random person knows way more than the magistrate judge that signed off on the search warrant with all of the evidence in front of them.
No I am essentially claiming that they appear to be running around directionless and that is not comforting and I as a layperson can see it. And the responses they give don't make it sound any better,

Here is a still of the back of NG's home:

And another one that kind of shows the sliding glass doors:

Note - the darker one (evening view) comes from Fox News but getting it to link isn't working, but it is where the photo resolves to:
Yep. She has slider. She has a side door to the garage with a window. She has first floor windows easily accessible.

Multiple first floor entry points without any scrutiny/neighbors or street sight line. The privacy of the property/layout and the Tucson neighborhood darkness, would allow ample time to breach knowing there was a health compromised 84 year inside alone.
