She didn't do it on purpose as she was clearly in a panic, but she is the reason the public know his name.

I don't blame her, personally I think BE was wrong to have posted it without redacting his name, but if I'd inadvertently done that I'd apologize.

As she's not the one who turned him in I hope her family is understanding about her speaking too frankly to a reporter in such a stressful moment.

I think she and her SIL did the right thing by speaking out and clearing his name. This is such a high profile case you don't want to be linked to it in a negative way. LE and FBI agents certainly won't clear it for you by talking to the press.

Someone (probably 50 pages back at this point - I've been traveling all day) mentioned that they could be safety glasses, which I would buy.

I also think the darker outline could be the lining of the mask. I don't think they're eyebrows, FWIW. They come too close together in middle, especially on the right eye (his left, I guess). They'd be extending into the bridge of the nose, IMO.

Agree 100 percent. To me it looks like he has a thinner, darker snug mask underneath and the contrast edge is being misinterpreted for eyebrows/facial hair.

Yes, he was driving a Rogue but he DID say in the interview that he also has a van. Did not mention the color. The reporter even restated 'Did you say van?'

To clarify, Carlos drives a more modern white van as his work van with GLS on the side of it. It can be seen in footage by the reporters walking toward the home to interview. But he was driving the family's Rogue when detained. He has been cleared so his van does not factor into this any longer IMO. It may have just been what was seen on the Circle K video. He states that he could have made a delivery in NG's area, it's possible but he doesn't know.

The delivery van could be conveniently out for repair or something and parked in some repair lot. I wonder if they let C go because they wanted to see if he would lead them to NG. He hasn’t been cleared, has he?

True, but Richard Allen didn't demand a digital currency ransom from an apparently untraceable crypto account, nor bounce an evidently spoofed IP from Tajikistan to Neptune. And perhaps even from Neptune to Rio Rico, AZ.

My dad installed garage doors for years, can confirm older ones are very easy to break into, I used to break into my own frequently when forgetting my key.

We got ours in 2009 after we replaced the original door. It's a metal beast. Before that we had a wooden door with windows. It was not very secure. Lots of the homes in my neighborhood still appear to have those older doors with windows.

The day before, the FBI released the first video of the possible suspect, an armed man seen wearing a ski mask and heavy gloves who was attempting to disable Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mom's Nest doorbell camera shortly before she was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home.

The thickness of the gloves made it too difficult for him to tamper with the camera, so he turned around and gathered scrub from Nancy's front yard to use to cover the device. He eventually pulled the camera out, which stopped it from recording anything further.

The nightmare video showed a gun holstered in the man's pants as he disabled the camera at 1:48 a.m. on February 1. Less than 20 minutes later, cameras inside Nancy's home detected someone inside.

By 2:28 a.m., her pacemaker stopped syncing with her Apple Watch, which was still inside the house, indicating she had been taken out of range of the device.

This guy could have some sort of tattoo on his right wrist as well.

But my thoughts are this was premeditated, and the target was Nancy

His backpack was full, so he most likely had items inside for part of the kidnapping, not someone who wanted to raid her house, plus nothing has been stated as missing.

We don't know if any blood was found inside to confirm that an assault had taken place there

or a forced entry.

The blood droplets finish just after the path from her front door to me.

I think she was covered with a blanket and carried to a vehicle, with another driver

LE hasn't said anything.

It appears that she had two entries in the back. One that leads into the garage or a utility room.


And very likely a larger door under her patio.


According to TMZ the blue door is where the light was smashed.

There is no way that the blue door is her only back door.
She has a pool, she lives in AZ and her house is 3,000 sq ft. She has a patio etc.

I appreciate you trying to learn more about the method and place of entry into NG's home because to me it seems like such a wild card question, given how large the home is, it's all one floor - who's to say the perps even went through a door? Could have been a window. Or multiple entry points. I don't think we even know if she has a security system and if so, how it operates (just movement in the home, just open/closing doors, windows?, was it on that night in its full capacity? sometimes people leave them off - she's lived there decades or forget especially after a late night). Broken into or keys/codes used? Entries already unlocked? Happens a lot where I grew up, less likely in Tucson I would imagine.

The weirdest thing about the Nest cam footage we've seen, to me/MOO, is that they were even at the front door, given all the other possibilities.

She was returned home; her blood was deposited at the front door and down the sidewalk AFTER the doorbell cam guy was there in the wee hours of the morning.
That's all that can be said with certainty.

My opinion is the person detained last night is not involved.

I appreciate the information. I wasn't familiar with GLS.

My opinion is CP is not involved. I think he became a priority because he was part of a delivery crew that delivered to NG's house in recent months. Investigators look at everyone who regularly or periodically worked for NG. Then they'd look at anyone who had short, casual contact with the victim or her home in recent months. A GLS delivery to NG's house put the crew on LE's radar. Inside deliveries would raise their profile.

Nancy probably discussed major purchases like furniture or appliances with her children and friends. Financial records would document purchases and identify the specific delivery company. If GLS delivered to Nancy's house in recent months, LE needs to look at them.

My opinion is that CP's phone was NOT in the vicinity of NG's house around the time she was kidnapped. If it was, he might still be in custody. I don't think a kidnapper who took elaborate measures to prevent leaving DNA would carry a trackable cell phone into the victim's home.
I'm pleased the governor vetoed this bill. Thank you, Governor Ayotte.

I looked at the roll call. The legislators from my district all voted for the bill. The majority of people here oppose our delegation's anti-LGBTQ+ obsession. Our senator and reps are all Republican. They march in lockstep even though their Republican governors have vetoed it twice before.

Half of the delegation are extremists. They often sponsor the bills that intrude on civil rights. You know, the ones yelling Don't Tread On Me while restricting reproductive care, voting rights, and and examining teenagers' genitals.

The rest pretend to be moderate but vote right along with the extremists. They're passive enablers. The average legislator doesn't want to understand what they're voting on. They phone it in. They're there for the perks, the prestige. It's a big social club for retirees. They vote the way leadership tells them, without knowing what the bill does, and take no responsibility for its impact.

I think CP was among the circle of people identified as being at or in the house in recent months. When the doorbell video was recovered, something about his build or appearance or maybe even a tip made him a priority.

Despite what CP told reporters on his doorstep in the early morning, I don't think a relative was the catalyst that made him a high priority. LE had already detained CP and burst through the doors of his house before they showed his relative a photo of the masked kidnapper. The relative may have responded that CP's eyes looked similar or LE may have told him a relative identified him during the interrogation. Either way, it's clear CP was prioritized and already detained before LE showed the relative the kidnapper's photo.

This is what it looks like to me, too. Like there is some kind of latex mask under the ski mask. I go back and forth on whether what others see as eyebrows are on the mask underneath or part of the eye holes on the balaclava.

But so many in this thread see things I do not I'm not confident in my read on this.
