No direct sources on why they think these items are the brand listed, but grabbed larger images for anyone that wants them.

They think the jacket is 2XU brand, the gun holster Uncle Mike's, the nitrite gloves Hyper Tough, and the backpack Ozark Trail. I know there's been some chatter about Ozark Trail. All four of the items I just listed appear to be sold at Walmart. They think the ski mask is Rothco, which they've found online.
I don't want to have to delete but please we need you to link back to your source.

Real as in they know the kidnapper? Well, in that case, the right thing to do would be to contact FBI quietly, get the perp arrested and collect the money. Given that they are not doing that, they are obviously an accomplice or the main kidnapper. Assuming this is not a scammer looking to make a quick buck.

I’ve seen some strange and messy cases before but this one has to be right up there..

It just seems a complete mess from the outset - mistake after mistake from law enforcement

How the hell do you return the house to the family over a week ago - only for today decide the porch needs a white tent around it
too many cooks in the kitchen

Family needs to hire a PI. It's past time.
Problem with that is.

They wouldn’t be privy to any critical information that’s already been obtained.

They certainly are within their right to do it and i wouldn’t be surprised if they are frustrated.

But i don’t believe it would be of much help in a case like this.

I haven't heard that the family has hired any attorneys.

It would probably be a smart move to do that right about now, even if innocent.

I hadn't heard of The Daily Mail UK but I just Googled. Results indicate that it's an unreliable source and tabloid-like, so I wouldn't put much stock in that they're "reporting".

Same here. I am always getting notifications from people asking about someone they don't recognize. Also, almost everyone on my street has their porch lights on. I actually have a lightbulb on my porch light that comes on when it's dark, so I don't even need to turn it on/off. It's unbelievable to me that it didn't seem like NG had her front porch light on.
Especially since Nancy lived in a HOA, which I believe she did, from the letter posted in here that the HOA had sent out to all home owners in the community. The home owners association DOES probably did have a private Facebook group. Those things are usually a disaster, but you are so right, people constantly post suspicious photos from their ring cameras, or crowdsource who a mystery person is, or what they are doing there. Unofficial community watchmen, every neighborhood has some in-between stirring up drama. LE has hopefully already reviewed that group for any clues. In between all the lost pet postings, meltdowns over trash collection, and kids on e-bikes, there may some real clues that people posted in real time as they were airing their grievances. (Those boards can be useful too and might actually be for something like this.)

Good Lord. They are just now "looking for video from January 1 - February 2" ??? And just now "about" to send an alert through the neighborhood app?? Make sure it's from officials. Great. Luckily the neighborhood group has been more on the ball. Why didn't LE do this immediately. Even to say, PLEASE PRESERVE ANY FOOTAGE FROM JANUARY 1 - FEBRUARY 2" to at least ensure it didn't get overwritten. Honest to God, I have watched my local neighborhood lost pet Facebook groups act more proactive and organized than this investigation.
LE, reporters, a pizza delivery person. People have been all over NG's home, inside and outside. No chance of proving anything.

The problem here is that the nominal lead agency is and will remain PCSO.
That doesn't mean they're the ones actually running the show.
So, what you appear to have here is a titular head (PCSO), and a different actual true lead (FBI).
There is such a thing as too many cooks in the kitchen sometimes.

PCSO made some horrific blunders right out of the gate.
It looks as if the SO has been regulated to providing security/traffic detail from the outside looking in.
It appears as if the FBI is doing the lion's share of the real investigative work.

The PCSO appears to be incapable of handling this type of investigation, yet it's their investigation.
The FBI can't wrest it from them.
Consequently, here we are.

I'm sure a lot of us have worked with and/or for a Nanos type at some point.
Let's all spare a thought for the FBI agents who are trying to work in concert with Sheriff Nanos whilst also trying to keep him from complicating their work with his open-mouth-insert-foot routine.

JMO.

Could police have come to swab the nest bracket and doorknob for DNA since the perp may have used his hands to pop in the mouth light or adjust it? Lets hope he left behind some saliva.

What a clustermug
Complete clown show at this point.
Poor NG.

IMO.
Too many cooks in the kitchen. Whomever told him that is also pot stirring. They need get along to go along. Saying things like to a reporter certainly isn’t helpful to anyone out there working or to NG and her family. It’s very disrespectful and just escalates public distrust of the case. Immature reporting

They're directly behind the paywall of the article I quoted, I just grabbed them since I have a relative that subscribes to Daily Mail. Can't edit the post now but this is the article. If you need to delete because it's insufficient, completely understand, I don't want to cause integrity issues.
