This is what has been on my mind when seeing the video. It was odd, to me, the way he covered the camera lens. You would think you would just use your palm or fingers. However, if he was in mid knock then the strange way he blocked does make sense. If you watch the video it really does seem he was going for the door, looking to the left of it first (looking through the sidelight?). He then raises his hand as if to knock (actually pound) on the door then seems to notice the camera. He actually steps to his right. After covering the camera you can see his left hand do something. At first his left hand is wide as if to grab the doorbell then changes his mind and it really looks like he presses the doorbell. That doesn't make sense. Its between eight and ten seconds of the video released. His left hand presses on something below the lens. The doorknob is clearly seen and not what he is touching.

For some reason after manipulating the doorbell he decides to turn around and find the plant etc.. Unfortunately we don't have video if the camera comes off while the he is holding the plant over it or something else happens. Not having sound also leaves a gap in possibly knowing what is going on. Of course the intention of the released portion of the video was possible recognition of the person and not what he is doing.

I have thought he may be under the influence of drink or drugs, just so weird to use plants to try to cover camera when he had a backpack packed with stuff on his back which might have had something in to conceal cameras,

It looks like they forgot about camera, but it could have been their “job”, thus extreme disguise,
So the person, people inside( entered back door), could bring NG out undetected ( sorry).
Just another thought.

Yes. That’s what I’m thinking too but still so odd

Can you imagine if the perp spit on it like some men tend to do as a habit. And it just laid out there in the open all this time.
Drool from the mouth light.

In my opinion couldn't the foliage have DNA from the mouth of the perp breathing and possibly spreading spit? I mean people, myself included, wear face masks to prevent spreading germs when sick. 🤷‍♀️

I am still thinking about NG being confronted by that masked figure in her bed having been woken up, it is horrifying to think of what she must have gone through, and the terror it must have instilled in her children when they showed them the video to see if they recognized the masked man, it certainly sent shivers up my spine and made me check my doors were locked securely at night
I would freeze in fear knowing that there was no way that I could escape. Paralyzing terror. If they picked me up off my bed wrapped in blanket, I would fight back. In my condition, I could be easily restrained, carried out the front door and placed in a vehicle. JMO

Tucson is a very special city. We’ve stayed many times at a small, old resort in NG’s part of town, which is in the mountains overlooking the city. It is a beautiful area. People are friendly. There is a common love of land and sky. People work together to live responsibly in the desert. It is a spot of blue in red Arizona. These are simplifications but just had to put my 2 cents in. If you don’t know Tucson or the desert you may not be able to understand the love and beauty there.
I, too, have grown to love AZ. Fantastic sky, sunsets, huge mountains, the desert is very serene.
Very Beautiful.

Seems to me - and I know nothing- that the camera porch guy may not have been trying to get in the house. Perhaps two bad guys are involved. Both, perhaps, went in back and did whatever they did in the house. In my scenario, porch guy came out to front to meet bad guy 2 and help remove Nancy from the house. Forgot the camera was there and then had to deal with it. Backpack could be full of “stuff” from inside - not full of burglary/kidnap tools. Thoughts?
IMO it makes the most sense that the camera was removed so that NG could be brought out of the house without being caught by video. Kidnapper must have entered house earlier from another location. JMOO

Exactly, so why is he there! My spider senses are tingling on this one
And this was at AG's house where he was interviewed and talked about the premonition wasn't it?

I'm not going to venture that he is involved, but interesting how he kept saying it was 'very well done' and 'very very well done'

The things, that make you go hmmmm..

We all have experienced cases, were it looked like a mastermind had been behind it only to eventually realize it’s was quite the opposite. Sometimes things seem to be arranged to look a certain way and sometimes they are just happenstance.

So, what do we have here? Let’s revisit.

Starting with a photo from FOX news, from February 6th, marking the damaged and intact floodlights on NG’s property. The damaged floodlights are installed on the4 main house in close proximity to each other leading to the courtyard.

In this photograph from WBTV we see an open gate, which is located between the guesthouse and the main house. In most of the other aerial videos including GoogleEarth that gate is closed. I therefore assume the gate is usually closed or most likely closed during the night. This is also one of the intact floodlight locations:

In Brian Entin’s first video (02/04) he is interviewing two retired FBI agents and confirms a forced entry into the house. We I know about a back door/sliding door (?) possibly being the forced entry location. It has not been confirmed whether or not the subject entered through that location.

Next, we have been told by the Sheriff, that NG had been dropped off by a family member. She supposedly entered the house through the garage door. In this photograph we see the open garage and also the gate leading into the courtyard. Notice the 2 steps and the floodlight above (!). That floodlight did not appear to be damaged:

So, we have 2 floodlights that are damaged and 2 floodlights, which seem intact. The first 2 floodlights are close to the roof of the main house. The other two are located above the steps leading to the gate (courtyard) and on the corner of the main house to the left looking at the main entry in the front of the building.

So why damaging the floodlights illuminating the courtyard and not crushing the floodlight in front of the gate or the floodlight on the corner of the main house? Leaving the corner floodlight to the left of the main entry intact can be explained by not really playing a role of either tripping a camera or illuminating the subject’s way of entry.

Leaving the floodlight in front of the gate intact begs the question why? There is no camera, that can be tripped. If the subject planned on entering via courtyard and through the back door/sliding door (?), would that gate not be the access of choice? It does not seem that high. Backpack over and you are in.

Well, then we have to also consider the two (pairs) of floodlights dangling down from the wall. It looks to me like someone went on the roof and either tried to step on one of the floodlights - they broke- and then tried climbing do own. From the roof stepping in the second floodlight..and they broke as well. Really? Someone would be that sporty tho climb on the roof - or parked their pickup truck close to the garage to get up there - but they are not sporty enough to get down?

And then we have the recently released video of weedy lantana man wearing a fully packed backpack and he is trying to obscure the doorbell camera with some plants after already being recorded. Who does that?

So wee have Mr fully-packed-backpack-lantana-man getting sporty now and trying to get on the roof after realizing the front door may be a no-go trying to get into the courtyard while possibly braking the floodlights? Or did he break the floodlights after getting into the courtyard via the gate after possibly already being recorded? Who does that?

All of this makes no sense. A pre-planned home invasion or a pre-planned kidnapping would absolutely involve more preparation than to pick some flowers trying to cover the doorbell cam..And yet, removing the doorbell cam would insure not to see the condition NG was in, when possibly taken out that front door. In case they never intended to handing her over back to the family..just saying. ALL IMO of course.

Who does that..? Unless this is all smokescreen and they knew exactly what they were doing, why they were doing it and to whom they were doing it to.

All IMO

Cheers,
Nin

I think anyone of us on Websleuths would have done a better job collecting evidence and securing the scene.

I like that confidence.

Yes. I think two people.

All these missteps will one day come back to bite LE, defense attorneys are going to have a field day discussing all the things that were not done correctly, all the contamination of the crime scene to imply that the whole investigation wasn't done correctly and the jury should not rely on anything the prosecution places into evidence from such a poor investigation of the crime scene

I keep going back to the thursday after the crime. FBI went back and removed Cameras off of the guest house. These cameras appeared to be mounted to the exterior brick then had a hole drilled through the top of the wall where a wire ran and was connected to a solar charger on the roof. Pretty obvious to spot and looked like a standard install. So I don’t believe those were added by local LE and then removed later by FBI.

So my question is; How in the heck did they not collect those cameras for 5 flippin days?!?!

Unreal imo

When LE went to NG's house when she was reported missing, LE immediately knew it was a crime scene and closed off the property for an investigation of a crime. MOO
And brought in homicide unit🥲

I have rationalized the SIL (maybe AG) being involved vs. not. The night before NG is abducted, she has an idyllic night of games and dinner at AG/SIL home. They are presumably the last to see her alive. Still unclear who brought her home. The garage up/down for such a short period of time still bothers me.

We know they are going to be questioned no matter what. It's possible LE believes the suspect has a connection to their neighborhood. Maybe he saw NG often at their home and that unfortunately grabbed his interest. And this is the reason they are searching around AB’s home. The connection is proximity only.

However, I cannot show any serious interest in following this case and not consider SIL (maybe AG) of potentially being involved in some way. I do not think the suspect in the FBI released video is the SIL but that does not mean there is no connection to NG being abducted and IMO murdered.

LE has repeatedly gone back to their home. I have lost count how many times. LE is also going inside the home. That tells me LE has some evidence that is bringing them there…. over and over. IMO

When Sheriff Nanos talked about that garage door opening and closing he stated "approximately" and he even stated, "I can't state that enough."

If Nancy's home is in the area I'm thinking of, the Pima County Sheriff's Dept is only about 12 miles away. The area has homes that start at the base of the Mountain (Dove Mtn) and work their way up with lots getting larger and houses set further apart than a "subdivision". They have a beautiful golf course, and a Ritz Carlton close by. This home seems to be up in the more secluded area further up the mountain. Stunningly beautiful area and typically low crime rate.

Just my observation.
Not Dove Mountain. She’s in the Catalina Foothills.

I think until the doorbell footage was recovered that LE probably had suspicion it was AG/TC - after all they were the last to see her alive AND they were the ones who raised the alarm. Occam’s razor would suggest the same. It’s probably why there seemed to be activity around AG’s house over the weekend and in to the start of this week. I think discovering the footage of the masked man has blown any of their theories out of the water and they’ve realised this is much bigger than a disgruntled SIL offing his MIL for whatever reason. I think that’s probably why we’re now seeing what we’d think are basic investigation steps - securing the doorbell mount, searching around her house, asking for camera footage from neighbours etc. MOO.

Many of us probably disagree with being armed inside our homes and that's ok, no need to debate. That being said, I think it is wise to own a firearm, be trained to use it if and only if needed, and encourage our family members to do the same. I'm not comfortable around firearms because I'm not trained. However my young adult daughter is and she carries.
If I were comfortable and trained and was met with an intruder like this case, I would have no problem protecting myself.
Just my opinion and thoughts

I am wondering if the 1:47 camera disconnect was actually done from NG’s phone inside. I can disable my camera from my phone. Then the perp thinks shoot the camera may still have the ability to film so before he take NG out the front door he goes back at 2:12 and removes the camera. HL from TMZ seems to believe the video of this monster was from the 2:12 motion that was detected. Just a thought
