The thing is though, when you're making 60k and your sister is making $8 million, you're most definitely going to feel like the poor relation. It would take a really big person not to feel some level of resentment or jealousy.
In all honesty, I'm super happy for any success my siblings achieve, but I've met people who are probably jealous. I've been jealous of friends before. However, that's a huge leap to murder, especially since it wouldn't fix the motive of overcoming the jealousy that caused the crime. Any financial reward would be a long time coming. MOO I don't get any family involvement vibes. From the little I can glean from Savanna's public presence is that they are a really loving, functional, and close family.

And certain comments that have been made like the Sheriff saying he wouldn't be talking about what was discovered inside the home out of respect for the family. 😢
Hadn't heard the LE say that but it partially explains how little we know about what went on inside the house. Awful thinking about. We do know LE immediately knew it was a crime scene. Sometimes info about a crime scene is kept close to the vest by LE for other reasons, too, such as information being something only the abductor and LE know. MOO

You should have added an IMO at the end of your statement. Some siblings have grace with each other. Support 100% unconditionally. Perhaps you did not.

I actually interpret Megyn's transcript as AG's neighbors. I think AG's neighbors would have more insight into their character than Nancy's. The phone thing is weird, though. Unless there's a solid connection between the two locations, the intruder wouldn't have dropped a phone in AG's neighnorhood. It's all so confusing.

A possible explanation for LE questioning Annie's neighbors...
A phone may have been discovered to be pinging in Annie's neighborhood Saturday evening when Nancy was visiting Annie's home and then later discovered to be pinging at Nancy's home when the man was seen at 2:12 a.m. Sunday morning and then now it is pinging back in Annie's neighborhood.
LE may have tried contacting the phone's owner but can't locate them so they are searching for them.

If they are "poor", that makes me one notch up from being a bag lady......JMO
I think the term poor was used purely in relation to SG. Compared to her, yeah, they’re “poor”. (As am I and, I assume, many of us here on WS are.) That’s how I understood it, anyway.

Money is so often a motivator in murder and kidnapping, I don’t know how it fits here, but I’m sure it’s something LE is looking closely at in regard to family.

Yes, of course! Very good point. She must have an iPhone.
It depends on which watch you buy. Some must be linked to a phone. Others operate independently

Anyone familiar with uploading pictures? Just curious what information would be traceable if the perp uploaded a picture or video of Nancy to another website and wouldn't it be likely the could scrub the video or picture or all its identifiable properties?

Like I'm questioning why the perp wouldn't use any old website where you can post videos or pictures.
Location data would be a big issue but it also reveals device and possibly device name and other details related to the photography

When did the sheriff state SIL is not a suspect? I haven’t seen that. If he’s been cleared, that’s huge.
Sheriff never said that, or at least not in the way you're implying.
They said no one was ruled in or out at this time and that they wouldn't comment on anyone being a suspect or not. That was the second press conference and that was AGES ago without any further update.

Okay no one responded so assuming nothing?

Anyway after searching forever last night here are some *you guessed it* Walmart specials that are very similar.

I think for the one set I posted grey/black the inseam isn't noticeable in the video so probably not likely to be that one but perhaps camera didn't pick it up.

I do like how similar the wrist "cuffs" are and how there is not an actual hood but a little bunch area of actual material - not a clue what thats called - looks very similar to the nest video.

Btw there is loads of different colors available for each, hard to tell the real color from the video.

The Walmart Special "Cheap" Gearing - Habit or Disposable Blending?

So a lot have been made of the gear we have seen in the only Nest footage of the suspect. It struck out as a bit amateurish and thrown-together but upon further investigation it was generic and cheap (Ozark Trail Walmart back pack $15, Cheap vinly pistol holster $5, possible walmart jacket, nitrile gloves, etc.)

There are amateurish signs about it - the reflective stripes on the backpack, the cumbersomeness of the gloves in a situation where you can't afford to be that--especially with a gun. The liability of a cheap mismatched holster when you can't afford to risk your life on that. The liability of a cheap back pack rupturing and spilling your "kit" into the night on your big score. These are poor operational choices. They could also be more stealthy as well.

Now while they are poor operational choices, they are generic and disposable. If he bought them with cash at Walmart, spread them out at different locations and reasonably disguised himself (hat/sunglasses) reviewing any footage/purchase receipts would prove much more difficult. It's almost like some crazy person's version of being "gray man" (blending).

Or was it just the habit of someone - a younger person on a budget, a landscaper or worker--who are used to getting practical affordable options and in their amateur mindset this qualifies as a stealthy, effective get-up? I often say that this get-up looks to me like something was lost in translation? With try hards they go the other way (Ka-Bar marine knife, style over substance tactical gear, etc.) Now with this it's just odd, cheap and impractical while being effective enough to get lucky. I've said I've seen things like this in third world conflict zones (where you see sporty stuff like nikes, combined with mil surp and thrown together). Maybe it's also a skewed or altered mindset (autistic, mentally ill, drugs?) Or it's just low income practicality in an amateur that overrides that tell.

Now behaviorally, it reinforces the amateur/off angle (casually using the latanas flowers, not anticipating a doorbell cam, using a saliva transferring mouth light) but the outfitting certainly stands out.

Is the zipper showing up lighter due to the infrared / low light photography? Someone mentioned something like "color reversal" which is apparently why the back pack shoulder straps.

Are they? I don't think we are privy to their interviews with family. JMO I understand concentration on their property and nearby, because that was reportedly the last place Nancy was, before being taken home.

Agree. Hard to imagine who did this crime and what on earth their motivation was. LE has spent a lot of time at AG's house and in the outside areas around AG's property as well as in AG's neighbors' property, and from an earlier poster, it sounds like LE is looking for a phone near AG's property as well. MOO

because I just realized i cropped the prices, for reference these were like $22-$28~

so a very cheap discardable get

It gets complicated. The EXIF metadata associated with the photograph can be easily removed. (The metadata includes camera/phone type, shutter speed, ISO, potentially location, etc.) A public website like Flickr or Instagram will also your record browser details (which can include operating system), IP address, etc.

If you know what you’re doing, you can work your way around these things with the right software, including VPNs and anonymisers, but it’s a risk.

And after all that, there could be something about the content of a photograph itself that gives away information.

It’s safer to transmit some information by text that would likely have come from NG herself and could be verified by her children. The absence of that type of information in this case (as far as we know) is significant.

He appears to be carrying coveralls like painters wear, and something the shape and size of a paint roller.
Going back the the images released by the FBI, the pants he has on appear to have integrated shoe covers!

Edit: The FBI needs to be prioritizing finding the guy in the TMZ Ring video!

AG took much of her social media and websites down or made them private so its tough to find but I did read some of it a few weeks back and it was very morbid.

I don't think morbid writing is a reliable indicator of real-life actions. Without something more concrete, it feels beside the point here, IMO. I'd hate for someone to look at my darker writing and treat it like 'evidence' about something tragic in my family.

Pima County Sheriff on theories a Gutherie family member is involved:“The family has been fully, 100% completely, whatever we asked for they’ve done.” "You can’t accuse people of a horrific crime like that and not have any facts behind it.’

But in the same interview the Sheriff did tell me so far no one has been officially or at least publicly ruled out.

The information about the contract with the Florida lab is quite pertinent.

Why would they use Quantico instead of their go-to lab?
FBI CODIS has limited DNA markers. They try to match with someone in CODIS.
Also, they can't do Investigative Genetic Geneology.
