Nope. I'd think a woman at NG's age, with life saving heart meds she hasn't taken (presumably) for 13 days would require immediate medical - think EMT - support to ensure she made it to a hospital. There are likely strict protocols that would require transport by an ambulance, IMO.
They would have airlifted her out of there.

TUCSON, Ariz. - Fox News is reporting that at least three people have been detained on Feb. 13 in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, citing an otherwise unnamed local law enforcement source.

Big picture view:
"The source says after receiving a tip, authorities detained two males, plus one of their moms. The source said a warrant had been served," read a portion of the Fox News article. "The source cautioned that during a warrant execution 'technically everyone is detained.'"

What's next:
Fox News is reporting that according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, a written statement will be released.

A Pima County sheriff’s deputy maintains a roadblock as a suspected raid on East Placita de Michael and North Placita de Rojelio regarding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of U.S. journalist and television host Savannah Guthrie, takes place in the Catalina Foothills outside Tucson on Feb. 13, 2026

Massive presence by SWAT, LE at a home about 1.9 miles from Nancy's house. 3 or 2 people (diff reports) including a woman, taken out and detained. Things in the air now, waiting for press statement (not a PC)....FBI arrived there in the last 1/2 hour. Search Warrant for the house. Also traffic stop for a white van. We don't know who the driver was.

Can anyone find the house on AirBNB or any other rental site? I can’t.

Even better! I was responding to an OP who was hoping if NG was at the house that they'd put her in a car and drive to a hospital. I was suggesting not. But I like your airlift protocol even better. Who cares if people see a helicopter. Save NG!

Something I can't get out of my head:

SG called Sen. Mark Kelly immediately after 911 was called. Why?
I worked for a US Senator and it is NOT unusual for constituents to call, even if they aren’t acquainted with the office holder, when they’re in difficult and challenging situations. Senators have an incredible amount of resources at their fingertips and unfettered access to federal administrators and agencies.

Yeah when I looked at the map I figured it was somebody who lived a mile or two south across that main road.

I’m shocked the possible perps were located north. Nice homes. Can’t even trust wealthy neighbors. Sad.
IF it turns out that the actual perps were two miles away this entire time, I will be shocked. (I like the term our UK friends use: "gobsmacked.") Last night, I opined that if they were smart, they'd be nowhere near Tucson. I thought they had crossed the border and were hiding out. I can't wait to find out if they actually have Ransom Person and Porch Guy in custody. Criminals are stupid. MOO.

It’s in the same general area as NG. I am also in the area. I know you’ve mentioned a crime map. Crime is low in our area. Tucson is a weird place with crime pockets that are a few miles from expensive areas. But this neighborhood is low crime.
I think that poster means the map of the NG house and the media staging area tonight—not a crime map per se—but showing where NG crime happened

I live on the east coast so I'm going to hit the hay. Crossing my fingers this is the real deal. If I wake up to a notification on my phone that says "Suspects detained have been released, search for Nancy Guthrie remains ongoing" then you might as well cue up the circus music.

What we know

  • INVESTIGATION LATEST: There is police activity tonight in Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood related to the investigation into her disappearance, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson confirmed.
  • SUSPECT DETAILS: The FBI provided new details about the suspect seen in videos on the porch of Nancy Guthrie’s home the morning she disappeared. Authorities said they are looking for a male who is 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with an average build, and said he was wearing a black, 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.
  • DNA COLLECTED: The sheriff tonight said that authorities are working to identify who DNA collected from Guthrie's property belongs to. The sheriff said it was not from Guthrie or someone in close contact to her, the department said.
  • REWARD INCREASED: The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction to $100,000. The agency says it has fielded more than 13,000 tips from the public since Feb. 1, when the mother “TODAY” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie disappeared from her home.
  • ARIZONA SEARCH: The sheriff's department says investigators combing the foothills around Guthrie’s neighborhood have recovered several items, including gloves that have been submitted for DNA testing.
  • 'WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP HOPE': Savannah Guthrie shared home movie footage of her mother and their family on social media, writing: “Our lovely mom. We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope.”
  • Nancy Guthrie live updates: DNA from someone other than Guthrie was collected from her property

Me too, but the purported and unverified occupation isn't what the Sheriff's tweet mentions. Think higher. JMO.
He’s held the position they mentioned.

Thank you for this. Like I said earlier, when we were dealing with my niece missing, it never occurred to us to call our senator first (or second, after 911). Interesting.

Crazy & scary how this house is so close to NG's. You never know who is watching you.

BE reporting now on NewsNation that a "massive police presence" is still on the scene, particularly the FBI and an evidence unit. Search warrant is being executed right now at house. A man and a woman came out willingly when 2 SWAT vehicles arrived. A third person, a man, was detained at the traffic stop and is possibly related. BE was also told by authorities they expect to be at the home "all night".

BE also said his sources told him earlier today that something was "going down" tonight because someone in the home was being "surveillanced".

He doesn't have names/identities of the people that were in the home.

His FBI sources told BE that communication has been a "mess" between the sheriff and the FBI and they have been left "out of the loop."

Finally, BE when asked about the white van, said there are a "ton of white vans" in NG neighborhood, people constantly getting work done on their homes, and he wouldn't make too much of this information.

News Nation just thanking Brian Entin for the exceptional reporting job he is doing on the NG case.
I agree completely. He is an outstanding reporter.

My opinion.
