What if someone paid the initial $50000 from the TMZ ransom yesterday, and the receiver immediately used it to purchase the Land Rover. Maybe was trying to dispose of the evidence when pulled over. And the employee of the car dealership was taken for questioning to get information about the purchaser. I’m not sure if the timeline adds up, but just a thought.

I don't have any brand recommendations but IMO it's best to get a system that records to it's own device (I use a PC as a back end 'server' if you will) and also uploads to the cloud. Redundancy of data collection seems like overkill to many people, but if something happens when your wifi is cut you've got the on-premise device. If they take or destroy your on-premise device the data is still retrievable.

Also get an expandable system where you can add cameras to the same network if needed. I think most are up to a certain number. Mine is very old but IIRC when I bought it it came with 6 cameras and I was able to add up to another 6 to the same instance on the software.

I was listening to the scanner last night and yes there was someone shot in the face. However, with that said, I got the impression that it was unrelated to NG investigation. There was also a report of a young man acting strange in the middle of the road that was called in.

IMHO, I don't believe either are related to NG case.

Full body shot definitely looks similar to Lantana Man. Worked on height again by guessing these tile are 24x24.
Visually, his full height (feet to head) spans just under 3 tiles vertically. 3 tiles = 72″ (6′0″), He appears closer to ~2.8–2.9 tiles. Estimate:2.85 × 24″ ≈ 68–69″→ 5′8″–5′9″

I think 5'10" Lantana Man and at 5'9" are one and the same.

No wonder dude was so double layered up. He is hairrrryyyyy with a capital H. There's a pic in shorts on his IG. Scary pic with AK rifles too.

I am confused, but maybe some of you can help. What do you have to have for a search warrant? I was under the impression you had to have something more than just a lead? It blows my mind that you send that many things as last night, ME, multiple forensics, two SWAT teams, to end with the nothing. This is two major operations now and no arrests? It seems odd.

It is hard to believe they sent that many people and CSI to the location and nothing resulted from it. I mean, that was a huge amount of force and investigators.

Same situation as Rio Rico but this time area was close enough for more 2nd wave (after SWAT). Should spend more time researching who they are going in after IMO. Doing this and coming up basically empty just makes them seem more incompetent.

I'd recommend installing your own POE IP cameras with SD cards and then monitoring them with computer software like Blue Iris. I have mine set to record 24-7, on hard drives and my cloud, with AI alerts and push notifications to my cell. Then throw in a couple of backups like Ring cameras for redundancy.

I’ve got a similar setup but with solar cameras. Other than the initial charging up before I installed them, they’ve never needed charging via cable in the year and a half I’ve had them. The battery never even seems to go below about 70%, which makes for a great “set it and forget it” option for locations/camera spots where you don’t want to be going up and down a ladder to charge it every few weeks/months!

I’m not asking to handle the DNA. I’m saying that government agencies can upload the DNA into the genealogy sites , and those of us genealogy detective volunteers can make family trees for the matches at distant cousin levels and narrow it down through cM’s and % of DNA and other matches. It’s tedious but doable with volunteers from all over the world. The unknown DNA that needs to be figured out can even be given the name Jane Doe etc.

Right now they have no way of knowing if that DNA is in any way connected to a CRIME. They can’t upload information w/o some warranted basis to attach random DNA to a suspected crime.

Yes. I understand that officers do search warrants and leads daily without all of the equipment this outfit seems to use. I think ultimately I just don't understand.

They detained a mother and son from a house. They detained someone else at a traffic stop. They went to detain a fourth person who shot himself in the head. That speaks as massive guilt to me. Moo. You cannot arrest a dead person. So thats why no arrest was made. @brianentin

All incorrect. He works for the dealership where the car was sold, no one knows who actually sold it. He doesn't have any strange ties to the Middle East, he is Middle Eastern. He also doesn't call himself "the accountant", he is an accountant, based in Tucson.
