I'm not sure why people are so quick to say last night's police activity yielded nothing. They'll need time to process any evidence they gathered. Until then, they really shouldn't speculate on the value of what they may have found last night. Seems like a good time for us all to take a break and check back later.

I think we all will be getting a break today for thread clean up. IMO 🙃

Also a reminder that it’s only been 2 weeks…it feels like a long time (especially for the poor family) but in the grand scheme of investigations it’s really not.

In the meantime lets continue to pray, or send love and healing vibes whatever your preference, for NG and her family and for justice to be on its way.

It is a long time when this is still a rescue mission involving an 84 yo woman. Not just an investigation to catch a perp.

The home/crime scene was released back to family originally within a few days after the disappearance wasn’t it? That means any new evidence found after that cannot be considered real evidence. It could have been planted to incriminate someone.
Again—just speculation that the DNA is in any way related to the actual taking of NG…
And yes—IMO—the house was released to the family too soon—should have been locked down for much longer in the event that other information coming out might have required a further search. The area WAS compromised apparently during the initial investigation and later so I have no idea how “trustworthy” of the evidence gathered might prove if any case goes to trial and is challenged by a defense team.

wow, how extraordinary, all that time and effort for naught, LE seem to be going nowhere,

For a bunch of “sleuthers” a lot of people don’t seem to have bothered “researching” the rules of the site.

I wonder what the real perp(s) are thinking ...sitting back...watching all this unfold.

I think they’re feeling really good right about now. I don’t mean to seem tough on LE and FBI but this is really a mess.

who needs medication regularly not just to maintain her health but to help with her pain, plus she possibly needs to have a certain type of diet for her heart condition and she is unlikely to be getting any of these things

Yes—like a disaster relief mission goes from search and recovery of survivors to simply RECOVERY phase…

IIRC, Richard Allen self reported the next day. Were Abby and Libby found when he called or still missing?

I can't recall if initially they were considered just missing or abducted and if there is a difference on how LE handles missing, abducted or kidnapping cases?
Honestly, I can’t remember, but I want to say they were already found.

It does seem like overkill, but I understand why they are doing it. They are (were?) getting thousands of leads a day, so there must have been something about this one that seemed viable.

I disagree. You have a tip and you send someone out to investigate the lead---you don't send 50 LE vehicles to the site. There have been many times they interviewed someone based on a tip and then followed them around. For instance, the perp in the Abby and Libby case self reported he was at the site. Did LE send a whole swat team to his house? Maybe they should have--but I digress. NO, they sent a DNR officer to interview.

This is just crazy the way this is being handled---media or no media.

I think the differnce here is .. they don't have a NG's body. They really don't know if she could still be alive. IF there is a chance she could still be alive, that response might be reasonable, no?

agree, they either appear to be doing little or that over the top response last night, and not clarifying anything about last night for hours was beyond ridiculous

Same situation as Rio Rico but this time area was close enough for more 2nd wave (after SWAT). Should spend more time researching who they are going in after IMO. Doing this and coming up basically empty just makes them seem more incompetent.
I disagree. It shows they're taking every lead seriously and working around the clock to find Nancy. This isn't a TV show where everything gets wrapped up in a neat little bow. They're damned if they do, damned if they don't — meanwhile we're all sitting in our warm homes picking apart their every move. Just my opinion.

I'd hate to live in the Tucson area--and look anything like the suspected POI and be scooped up LE.

How many more leads that potentially look like the POI that are called in are going to have their doors broken down (the Rio Rico guy did)

I'm sorry but this is just crazy the way this case is being handled.

I'm not hopeful this SO is capable of bringing Nancy home safely, unfortunately.

I edited my post to include a link where I got my info.
You should delete that—it doesn’t work==and delete the original post IMO—it is inaccurate and people following older post threads will read it but think it is accurate info…

Savannah Guthrie missing mom live updates: All four people questioned last night have been released

This reporting is bad. tomorrow we will be entering the THIRD week of Nancy missing, not the second week.

Oh, we know it was just “a tip” that led to last night? What specifically? Please elaborate as to what facts you have that show the response was uncalled for.

Keep in mind, they’re getting thousands of tips. We aren’t seeing thousands of search warrants. What level of investigation do you believe they should be doing before doing their jobs? What do you think a judge got wrong?

Since you bring up a lack of search warrants in Delphi, are you forgetting about the multiple search warrants executed in Delphi in the days after the murders?
