It wouldn't have to be the same part of an object landing in blood twice, transfer is a wet substance (ie blood) getting on the object once (ie stepping on a blood droplet) and then leaving the same markings on the surface as it moves, like a foot taking steps, or in your example a cane.

Just think how that would initally look to LE if Nancy's nest camera's disconnected via her phone at 1:47 a.m.?
Wouldn't you immediately suspect family or someone really close?
Of course you would.
But now with the burglary gone wrong theory its possible the perp may have ordered Nancy to disconnect the cameras via her phone.

I posted this last night. LE should potentially be able tie the glove to the Guthrie residence through plant DNA. The glove in question , if used by the perp, should be loaded with lantana plant DNA .

This is exactly what happened in my opinion. There are several factors supporting that theory

Absolutely. That’s probably what it is. I only mentioned the possibility because the marks look to be of similar… I’m not sure how to say it… intensity? One doesn’t look particularly weaker than the other. It’s so hard to tell from the photo.

I’m also trying to think of why LE seems to have thought Nancy could still be alive, even if they don’t anymore. It’s either wishful thinking or they have some evidence that points to her leaving alive.

So the subject possibly gained access via back sliding door (forced entry) after trying to enter through the front door (main entrance)? What are your thoughts about the sequence of events and why do you think like that? Just curious.

Just caught up on Savannahs new video - I felt that video was much more personal than other videos - almost like she thinks she may know the person who abducted her mother MOO

Been reading all the theories in here and I have a couple thoughts. First, I think SG’s latest video, she is talking to the person who wanted one bitcoin for the information he had on the person who had something to do with this. SG say u are not alone. We are here indicating they will help him if he comes to them. Also I think it’s revenge and might not be on SG. 51 mins in the house? Were they interrogating her to see what she knew about something and got hurt cause it didn’t go well? this is all My Opinion Only

If Nancy conversed with her perp at any point she could have told him something along the lines that her daughter is Savannah Guthrie from the Today Show.
At that point he knows that the full force of the law is going to come down on him regardless of the outcome. This might be why he decided to take her. Then the ransom idea came later.

Regarding Lantana Man (man outside NG’s front door): Can someone venture some theories about the gun? Do burglars breaking into a home usually carry deadly weapons? His weapon was in a holster that wasn’t made for that particular gun, and it was positioned uh, unconventionally, IMO.

He seemed more preoccupied with being undetected and less preoccupied with stealing property, IMO. If I’m not mistaken, armed robbery or armed kidnapping carries a much different sentence than breaking and entering. IMO. JMO.

Notice the words SG used in the latest video. You are not lost. You are not alone. This is IMO, SG KNOWING the REAL profile that LE has developed. An, obsessed, scorned, socially awkward loner. Someone who has developed an entire fantasy life around SG being his secret lover. Someone who lives with his mommy, perhaps. Possibly, bookish or nerdy. He may have an altar of sorts, erected in his home. Photos, posters, tapes of SG speaking on TV. He could no longer tolerate being spurned. The fact SG was out for several weeks for surgery made him become totally unhinged. NG had posted political opinions on her Facebook page. I don't actually think it was politically motivated, but it is one theory. We know so little. JMO

Celebrity based wealth could be more public and thus easier to recognize than other bases for wealth.

In the end, the daughter's position as a host of The Today show made her far more visible and recognizable than other wealthy people in both name and appearance. Though the crime targeted the mother, the daughterr's daily visibility could have made the link easier to recognize and to confirm.

And a news anchor looks directly into the camera to talk to the audience. For some unhinged person that can feel like intimacy and start to feed a delusion. I have no idea if there are any stats on this but I would not be surprised if news anchors (as a profession) have a higher incident of stalkers because their positions are so forward facing. IMO
