Not buying that this guy knows things. These mails are so generic and easily manufactured without a single shred of proof added. Someone is simply trying to cash in on a tragedy.

I'll gladly eat my words if it comes to it, because I know as little concretely as the next person, but I just...don't think the ransom notes are from the actual perpetrator(s) OR anyone who knows them. The fact that they keep going to things like TMZ of all places versus directly to the family or even just less sensational media outlets is just weird and doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Was the news of NG's disappearance at least locally known before the first note came? I seem to recall that there was some days' worth of a gap. That, to me, just reeks of the notes being from opportunists. Plenty of other cases have seen scammers from many different corners -- sometimes local and sometimes not even from the same country -- swooping in to try to make a quick buck, or just to meddle with the investigation because they're terrible people (I think about how many families of missing children or endangered adults have said they got hoax tips from people who weren't even particularly angling for money, they just want attention and/or to torment a stranger -- and with this one being so high-profile, that's gotta be a big draw for a certain type of awful person.)

Time will tell, hopefully. I can't imagine the not knowing; it would be excruciating. I hate that for this family and the families of every person who's gone without explanation. And if these notes were all fake, I hope the senders are found and prosecuted to the fullest.

I personally don’t think it is a dealer plate. In Arizona, the temporary license plate you get when you purchase a new car is a white piece of paper, I’ve added a photo of an example (I edited it to obscure the plate number).

As you can see, the brand of car is abbreviated on the top right corner of the temp. plate. In the photo of the Range Rover I can see either “DR” or “OR” at the top right of the plate, under the paper which I think would be the end of the abbreviation for Land Rover.

I can only think of seeing deep blue metal dealer plates here in Arizona (photo added as well).

I’m replying to myself here to bring up this tweet again where the former police lieutenant suggests the suspect was wearing body armor. I haven’t heard that mentioned anywhere else and I have a hard time seeing it. What do you all think? Just another guy giving his opinion?

Is it possible this appearance was more altered than we believe?

It seems like by what BE read per the FBI is that they may have a partial match to some evidence they already have, concerning the gloves, and they are submitting the full profile to Codis to make it an official match.
Now that is just my personal take on it.

No, imo. All the click bait and poorly worded media articles are confusing people. They found gloves less than 2 miles from the home that MIGHT be the gloves worn by Lantana man (or someone else involved for all we know). This is the "match" that they made: the gloves look alike), no dna match has been reported. They sent the gloves for testing (in FL) and the testing revealed male dna. This dna will (after some confirmation/science stuff to be performed by FBI will be entered into the codis database.

They did separately report that unidentified dna was found in NG's home that didn't belong to any know family/workers/etc. The odd thing is I don't think they have mentioned the testing of the dna found in the home against the dna found on the gloves - which is interesting. are they not the same profile types or....? We also haven't heard if the unidentified NG house dna had a codis match. Maybe they don't have enough for a profile??? Did I miss this?

I know certain countries don't tend to do heritage DNA (Italy for example) so IF the perp was from Mexico (as an example as it is closeby to Tuscon) then I wonder if that country does much DNA?

BECAUSE it is a celebrity based tabloid type outlet. This fits perfectly with my theory that the perp is a celebrity stalker who has a delusional relationship with SG. Secondly, stalker, I am sure, has never been answered or adequately responded to, for any communication he may have had with SG on an Instagram page or NBC fan page. SO, he went to a celebrity site to get attention. As a backup, he went to local news outs. He received the coverage he craved. Perfectly executed Publicity. IMO

Amidst any panic and adrenaline, there might also have been the thought that a never-solved “missing person” case is a better chance of getting away with it than leaving someone, living or dead, and it being definitively known that it’s a murder, or at least serious bodily harm.

I didn't see a sliding glass door. I do see a large picture-type window with a sofa sitting under the ledge of the window. I was surprised because I always pictured sliding glass doors in the covered porch area.

I posted this yesterday but will do so again.

There is a set of sliding glass doors leading out to a small walled courtyard at the front corner of the house (opposite the garage). My bet is they lead into NG’s bedroom since there appears to also be a chimney to that room suggesting a fireplace there. See at 0:10 in this drone video:

After HL had said about it being a crime if the person isn’t telling the truth and is hoaxing them, I wish he’d said “And if you are real, that’s also a crime - obstruction of justice” or misprision of felony, or whatever the Arizona statute calls that charge.

Even if their lawyer could argue that it’s not technically that, due to the fifth amendment and them having the right not to incriminate themselves, it could still be floated as a possibility by HL, as that should be for a court to decide, not the person concealing information, covering for criminals, and endangering an elderly woman, all for profit (from the hypothetical possibility that they’re telling the truth, I mean!)

FWIW, Documentary about a kidnapping for money case, the family was tortured by the various communications from the culprits, giving false hope for the safe return of their daughter.
The dirty dogs had already killed her though.
