The guys detained on Friday are likely under a great deal of surveillance. JMO
But who knows what their goal was? Nothing seems likely when it involves multiple people and I can't imagine a kidnapping ransom plan being so poorly planned out. ?

I agree but I also think she was coached prior to releasing this. She says the phrase “it’s never too late” 3 times. To me that is significant. It’s a phrase designed to reduce psychological entrapment. Her message/statement is giving the perp(s) or those that may know what happened to NG a mental exit ramp. Instead of the perp(s) or others involved believing there’s no way out of this, she’s reframing that belief. When she says it’s never too late, shes also saying You still have a choice.
Oh for sure there is the psychological aspect to it. I just don’t think she’s using a bunch of movie quotes because the kidnapper wants her to speak in code like some people are theorizing.

A possible theory I will pose now the family is cleared- young man, socially awkward, deeply troubled, probably sociopath. Based on the raids, likely lives with his mother or an aunt. Planned this/targeted Nancy- though I am not sure how he picked her specifically. Possibly mom/aunt he resides with watches SG frequently. I believe it was intended to be a sexual assault but somewhere along the way things took a turn and NG was removed to cover evidence. Likely did not survive the night. MOO.
THAT'S what i have been posting for 2 weeks!

But, at the time, LE was investigating all angles, so it makes sense that they followed their leads to a family member's house and property. Not because they were guilty but because LE may have had some tips or suspicions, and it would have been irresponsible for LE not to investigate everybody.

Wish LE could have cleared the family earlier but I think they were waiting for DNA results from the gloves, the house and possible evidence in the Land Rover.

JMO
Oh, I agree. Those closest to a victim know they have to be looked at. But the SIL faced harsh scrutiny from the press, forums and social media, IMO. Ashleigh Banfield called him out as guilty from jump. That’s a whole different ball of wax, IMO.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Adelson case but I've been thinking they have been possibly tickling the wire to see where it leads. I would say it looks like it leads somewhere. The guys detained Friday are definitely being monitored.
What they are doing while being monitored is far less interesting than what they have been doing since Jan 31.

That they probably have enough evidence to clear him now but weren’t 100% sure before or they would have said something. Not saying anything to the contrary when AB made the claims and doubled down on them was just irresponsible and wrong to TC and AG knowing they’re completely innocent. IMO

I will completely stop talking about them now. I hope they sue AB and also get a public apology. MOO
This is the way I've felt from day 1 and I've voiced that opinion here. The very moment that Ms. Banfield uttered the accusation against TC, it became an online witch hunt! Supposedly he was the last known person to see NG alive after dropping her off at home. Some people have leaned HARD into that supposed fact as an excuse to basically ruin his life. Can you imagine the crap storm that would have ensued if someone had accused SG of the same thing? No? That would have been wrong and out of line? Exactly, just like the accusations against TC have been this entire time. MOO

for them to say this is a low crime area there seems to be a lot of people on porchs at night ...
Yeah, id hate to see a high crime area on camera if this is low crime. What the heck?

The care of the captive may be a business decision. If you get a more cooperative captive, less cost to handle. And a live captive is worth more than a dead one. Just dollars and cents decision.

Kidnapping is not a personal crime usually, it is just business.
BBM. Not so sure that's the case with SG and her Mom NG. I think it's all about SG.

If they are the perps, I'm hoping they will make a mistake. JMO

This is kind of infuriating that the DNA hasn't been uploaded into CODIS yet. Why did the FBI release a statement yesterday morning saying this would be done within 24 hours? They must be trying to spook someone... but how do they know who if they haven't uploaded it into CODIS yet? Everything in this case is so weird.
In my opinion they got the results back but are telling the public otherwise to give a potential suspect a false sense of security. JMO

Yes I just made the same comment. Women as part of the kidnapping team could be the nurse, caregiver?

The presence of a female may be less threatening to a female captive?
My family member is a locksmith - recently he had to sort out the locks on behalf of the police for a victim of crime. The reason the elderly couple had a home invasion is because their carer (woman) provided information to the criminals. 💔

Here's my theory, since someone upthread asked what we all were thinking: 30s-40s, at least two. Not as smart as they think they are, but know tech and think a kidnapping for bitcoin might be a wild lark. I mean, they've seen movies, right? Maybe drugs play a part in their courage. No one gets hurt, bitcoin is untraceable. This is Tucson. It's laid back and NG is a semi-local celebrity because of her daughter. They plot the crime covering every detail, but hit a few hitches like the doorbell cam which they'd missed until the last minute. (Darn that dark alcove.). They also hadn't counted on how feisty and yet frail NG is. She fights back, gets injured. And when asked for proof of life, they can't give it. Now what? They're murderers, not kidnappers. Now what?

Yes, it would seem so. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t match some of the suspects they have been surveilling.
Agreed. But was confused because other reports have said it hasn’t been uploaded into CODIS….

Last week? I hope LE has already taken a look at it.

I wonder about the details of that crash...

That would be one way to get rid of a vehicle quickly.
