Does he not trust the FBI? Not necessarily the boots on the ground guys, but the higher ups? Don’t want to start political drama - don’t want to argue whether he should or shouldn’t - but it definitely could be a WHY he chose an independent lab in Florida. There’s been a lot of alleged scandal involving the FBI lately. Some say conspiracy. Some believe. Maybe he’s in the believe camp?

Still think it might have been someone Nancy knew by sight at least and they knew she saw them (botched robbery, maybe, but am still leaning towards planned abduction); so they took her !

There are some crimes that deserve the harshest penalties possible, and imo, kidnapping ranks right along with outright murder.

I still go back to that report discussed earlier in thread that an anonymous LE inside the investigation said the indoor cameras set up and pointing solely for safety/fall purposes were smashed before any of them could detect motio and stream. If it’s true it would have to be someone or associated with someone who had access throughout inside of NGs home. House cleaner, physical or occupational therapist etc. or distant family member. IMO

I'm not sure if there's been any discussion of the suspect's shoes. I went through the footage and grabbed a few screenshots. A couple of things stood out to me:

1. No visible laces
2. Flat heel/ molded platform sole
3. Traditional-style moc toe construction
4. Contrasting outsole, likely rubber
5. Toe spring (or bumper)
6. Non-leather material. Probably canvas or mesh.

I don't know how helpful it is, but the closest match I could find was the Carhartt Men's Haslett Moc Toe Boot in black canvas..

Maybe all of these updates about the DNA results are intended to scare the perpetrator(s). Knowing that the FBI and LE will soon have their DNA--and continually hearing about it--will likely create enormous fear with the perps and they may make desperate phone calls or rush somewhere that would then give FBI and LE more information to use to get a conviction. MOO

He’s not a savvy public speaker and I can understand some public frustration with him. I don’t however understand the sentiment that it should be open season on him. I don’t believe he deserves that. IMO

Then his own brother dies, then he went to a division 1 basketball game sitting in the front row all within days of each other? Hmm , I’m wondering where his priorities lie ? I’m asking for a friend

The “impeccable” LE source, whom AB had known for a decade, is the oddity here. If you supply details of a live, high-profile case to AB, you know exactly what’s going to happen.

True. AB appeared on Megyn Kelly's podcast and the two were talking about this matter. AB said something interesting - that the journalistic standard used to be 3 sources. But over time, the standard has changed based on the "value" of the source - that is, some sources within some contexts are much more reliable than others, Megyn gave as an example the director of the FBI as a high value source - and oftentimes now only ONE is considered adequate when using a "high value" source (not just for AB on her podcast, but for MSM as well).

It's too bad because even high value sources make mistakes (or are themselves reliant on sources that these journalists might consider "lesser value").

ETA: I cannot remember if "value" or "high value" were the precise words used, so consider that my paraphrasing since the general point still is made.

He is an elected official and is subject to criticism like anyone else. It comes with the job. What locals say IMO are things that have been noticed over the years. He is controversial here. For this case, it remains to be seen IMO still
