Since they didn't get a hit in CODIS and if it doesn't match any of their POIs then I don't know what choice they have other than using genealogy. Especially since they have hope she could still be alive and they are kind of on the clock. It would definitely be atypical to use it in a case like this though, and it's not exactly a fast process, but might as well get it started while they work other leads.

Glove in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping Case Re-Tested in Arizona, No DNA Hit

The glove authorities found 2 miles from Nancy Guthrie's home has been DNA tested in Florida, but there's still another step before the DNA profile can be entered in the CODIS system ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ.

She could have encountered the burglar, attempted to react, fell, unconscious or traumatic brain injury.
