Agree with all the above comments. LE would've been remiss if they didn't test the roadside glove, but it was always a long shot. I imagine they have to be pretty deflated right now. If they didn't get any hits on the glove or DNA inside the home, where do they go from here?

Appealing to the kidnapper(s)' conscience hasn't worked. The reward money hasn't worked. The raids came up empty. They haven't been able to trace the TMZ emails (AFAIK). No activity on the Bitcoin account. How the heck did these people just vanish?

Interview today with Sheriff Nanos: DNA test on glove found near Nancy Guthrie's house yields no match, sheriff reveals

- Sheriff believes it was NOT a burglary gone wrong but a targeted kidnapping.

- No indication that Nancy is in Mexico

- FBI has been going to gun stores but have NOT narrowed down suspects to 40 people

- Sheriff still would not discuss whether it was forced entry or non-forced entry

So wait, was the house DNA run through CODIS yet or no? I read one report that it was, but wondering if it was misreported and it was only the glove.

@MassGuy
We know that LE can sometimes deceive to further and protect an investigation.
You don't think this could be the case here, or is that just extreme wishful thinking?
Wishful thinking. I can't see them flat out lying like that.

It may not pick up cars traveling along right side of driveway to garage. Or the getaway car came when NG was bringing removed and camera was removed.
I have thought that the camera removal was to make sure it didn't "see' ng'S REMOVAL from the front door when getaway vehicle appeared to take her away. jmo. L-man may have been the driver....parked it off the property, then went to get it to take to front after cam removed. ???? jmo

Welcome, Deep Throat.

Law enforcement right now is absolutely overwhelmed. They are flooded with tips and emails coming in from every direction.

Your idea is actually a clever one. If the perpetrator tried to destroy evidence by burning it and didn’t have access to an indoor fireplace, doing it outside would make the most sense.

That said, I would recommend not continuing to email. Instead, consider writing a physical letter and mailing it. A mailed letter is far more likely to stand out in the middle of thousands of digital messages and may have a better chance of being noticed.
Thanks for sharing.
Tricia
And, may I add...put your letter in a (bright) pink envelope. Then, they'll be sure to notice it!

Sounds to me like neither house nor glove DNA was in CODIS and they also did not match eachother.

Plots to kidnap beloved family members of well known people is not out of the realm of possibilities.

You are making the wrong point. Of course there have been celebrities who have had their relatives kidnapped in lieu of a ransom. I am asking about kidnapping a celebrities relative because you are infatuated, or obsessed and you feel this will get you closer to them, or make some sort of a statement. Look, I am not saying that it is or is not out of the realm, I am just stating that I don't think that is what it is. If NG has any role in this, it would be because the kidnapper new she is wealthy, IMO.

Welcome!

My observation of the perpetrator, at least for the duration of the video LE released, suggests that he doesn't seem the type to panic over much. He seems eerily relaxed in an increasingly high stress situation, even when he appeared to not anticipate the front door camera. No rush, just a mere speed bump. This suggests psychopathy, and psychopaths tend to be calculating, oft-grandiose, and heavily sadistic criminals. And this one seems organized to boot, and on a prior-planned mission of a specific target.

To your point, I don't think this one is responding that way at all. Panic and paranoia lead to mistakes and getting caught quickly. And since it appears this perpetrator didn't rush or panic in committing this act, it is unlikely that he is rushing or panicking after committing this act.

JMO.
Slim I don't disagree with the majority of your premise, video would appear to show a pretty cool character. To that point he's no dummy and once caught it's gonna take evidence to convict him. What evidence? Ski mask, backpack, gloves, jacket, holster, shoes, etc. If tossed or hidden they can be found/recovered. If it were me I'd burn everything including my socks and underwear then scatter the ashes a handful at a time as I drove 100 miles around the desert. Maybe, just maybe someone remembers seeing (suspicious?) smoke from a chimney or yard in the recent past?

Ok it seems the clarification is both the home DNA and glove DNA were entered into CODIS and neither matched one another. So now they have to figure out if that glove is even related to the case, it may not be. And be sure the DNA found inside the home is of the intruder and not some random person who was in the house at a previous time.

I read this as the ransom note person gave up information! Just my opinion / interpretation. Lights action!

Well that's disappointing there's no DNA match. The last few days have been leading upto the results of that.

The remaining investigative paths aren't as fast.

IMO the case now shifts to a long term phase.
