Sounds to me like neither house nor glove DNA was in CODIS and they also did not match eachother.
Some house DNA must've been tested because they said it was male and not that of family or close circle of acquaintances. jmo (They had hoped that random glove DNA would match unknown house DNA)

IMO it's a dead end since there is no DNA match.
No match in the criminal data base. But the kidnappers might not have a criminal history. So then they need a normal population DNA data base to determine the identity. If LE wants to go that route. IDK.

You are making the wrong point. Of course there have been celebrities who have had their relatives kidnapped in lieu of a ransom. I am asking about kidnapping a celebrities relative because you are infatuated, or obsessed and you feel this will get you closer to them, or make some sort of a statement. Look, I am not saying that it is or is not out of the realm, I am just stating that I don't think that is what it is. If NG has any role in this, it would be because the kidnapper new she is wealthy, IMO.

There is no right or wrong at this point in time. What might be the motive is all speculation but if not money, it could be to establish a connection with a celebrity (aka ties that bind) especially as the wellbeing of NG is presently unknown.

The Sheriff says that he believes its a kidnapping, not a burglary gone wrong.

He also said that the story about the 40 persons of interest being checked with gun shops "didn't happen"

I don't know what to believe any more. It's like the Sheriff and the FBI are running completely separate investigations.

The glove not matching DNA in home and not being in CODIS is disappointing. But there’s that old saying about failure being just the next step toward success. So, onward!

Wishing all LE and others involved in working this case strength, stamina, clarity of mind, and renewed focus, and accompanying those wishes with loads of prayer.

Slim I don't disagree with the majority of your premise, video would appear to show a pretty cool character. To that point he's no dummy and once caught it's gonna take evidence to convict him. What evidence? Ski mask, backpack, gloves, jacket, holster, shoes, etc. If tossed or hidden they can be found/recovered. If it were me I'd burn everything including my socks and underwear then scatter the ashes a handful at a time as I drove 100 miles around the desert. Maybe, just maybe someone remembers seeing (suspicious?) smoke from a chimney or yard in the recent past?
Likely what the kidnapper has done. Assuming this was a kidnapping for ransom gone wrong (victim died soon after the kidnapping), I can see the kidnapper(s) driving deep into the desert where there is no surveillance and no people, burying the body and burning all the incriminating evidence in a campfire. IMO.

Hello @OldCop It's nice to see you in this thread. I agree with you, however, I would like to offer another opinion to the question.

Day 17/18 and no known verified sign of life, with what we know medically about the victim, and her being harmed in her home before being abducted (blood on porch) , the probability of survival being taken to a second location is super low. Again, we're over two weeks in. Objective today - identify the offender to locate the victim. IMO
Bbm.
Agreed.
Esp. the bolded !

I mentioned in a few posts that his best bet would be to plastic bag his entire kit, and incinerate it.

Burn barrel, fire pit, old smoker or bbq, camp fire, whatever. None of those would really stand out in the AZ night and all are easily accessible (I have all on my property). Sure, the fumes would be dark and dank but it would take seconds to compromise forensic evidence if thrown into an established hot fire (vented 55 gal burn barrel like the one I use to burn leaves exceeds 1000 degrees F).

But this is an individual that --from the footage we have--seems to do everything needlessly convoluted so who knows what Mr. Saliva Transfer Bite Light would do?

… if he was not noticed by SG, he lives in her mind now … that may be all he wanted ... but at what point does that change to "here am I" ... driving the point home?
Initially, I dismissed the possibility that SG had a stalker who targeted her mom. But now my perspective has shifted because none of this adds up otherwise.

The inconsistencies have piled up, and SG's use of movie quotes in some of her short videos stands out as a potential clue. It suggests something deeper tied to the "entertainment" world or perhaps coded communication.

Given that she has a security team in place, they've almost certainly identified and analyzed any past love letters sent by this individual. That evidence would provide valuable insights for law enforcement and the FBI into the stalker's profile, patterns, and mindset, helping narrow down the type of person they're dealing with.

My prayers are with the Guthrie family during this horrendous, sad time. May NG be brought home soon.

"The DNA found at the property is being analyzed & further testing needs to be done as part of the investigation."

This almost makes me think that the DNA found in the home was a partial profile/or a really small sample. MOO
So, now it's a SET of gloves??? This is nuts. jmo

If she’s passed away, does it still generate a signal? I would try over the landfill and outskirts of the desert at this point.
From my understanding, the pacemaker still sends out the signal even after a person is deceased. It's so sad to even think about.

I.
The protocol would be a search warrant to access the databases. It would be a long court case. I do not know about 23andme or heritage, however ancestry.com has successfully quashed MANY search warrants for LE purposes.
I’ve submitted my DNA to every possible database (even some no longer in business). If given the chance, I “opt in” for LE to use my DNA for forensic genealogy. Glad to help!

Genuinely feel like my head is in a blender with all this back and forth information. Goodness knows what NG's family feel like 😢

Harvey Levin is saying this....

I was wondering where they got those names. I assumed that a handful of them were close friends and family just to do their due diligence but I wondered where the rest of the names came from.

My aunt recently passed away from Parkinson's. She had a deep-brain stimulator, and after she passed I had to remember to turn it off before the mortuary took her remains. It was really creepy to think it was still sending a signal even though she was gone.
